The Holiday Bowl is one of the few bowls I would take time out to watch. The game is known for lots of offense and upsets galore. Plus, doesn't M have a sizable alumni base in So Cal? |

I've always thought the over/under for wins this season should be 8.5. I think next year is the when Michigan contends for the BIG, possibly more. |

Depending on how Pitino's son does at FIU, which I think was fairly successful in year one, I think the plan Pitino has in mind is to hand the program down to his son. I'm sure their AD, Jurich, will do a fine job locating a coach. He's turned around U of L football, baseball, Softball, Women's Basketball, and Men's soccer. Outside of football, all have competed for a national title in their respective sports within the last four years. |

I think he is a very good coach. Maybe not an elite coach but still, considering where Pitt was before Howland and where they are now, I think it's a good move and shows stability within the program as they move into the ACC. Keep in perspective where M was just a few years back. I would have embraced that sort of success. |
| 8 weeks 6 days ago | This has been the |
This has been the conversation of the day at work since everyone I work with knows I'm a Michigan man and they are all a part of big blue nation. Once the kid committed, all work ceased for the day. Seriously. Anyways, the question was asked repeatedly to me, "Is this class better than the Fab Five?" My feelings then are the same as now. From a talent perspective, UK's 2011 class probably ranks more talented than the Fab Five and this class trumps 2011. I think what makes the Fab Five such a milestone is the fact that they changed the culture of college basketball and took it to a level no one thought possible and made street ball mainstream. For that, no... this class is and never will be in the same stratosphere as the Fab Five. Also, UK would have to start and play 5 freshmen for the latter half of the season, entire tourney AND at minimum, reach the national title game. |

That is true, and half of them are floating around in the D-league... yet they're making the guaranteed $1.7 million for this year and next. |

Also the NBA needs to receive some of the blame. The one and done is a joke and they only made things worse by giving guaranteed contracts to those drafted in the first round. |

It's in your face in just about any area outside of Louisville. UK fans are the closest comparable entity to Ohio fans. |

I think Lunardi is good at picking the field but not so much at seeding. CBS still has M as a three seed... although against Davidson. |

Didn't this happen back in 2002? I went to high school at Harper Creek and our rivals were the Marshall Redskins. I came back to watch the HC-M football game during my sophomore year in college and found out they changed their names to the Redhawks. I could have sworn this was because of a court ruling. |
| 15 weeks 3 days ago | Michigan just does not fare |
Michigan just does not fare well at Assembly Hall for some reason. I have a feeling we might see an OSU repeat, Michigan gets down big to start and slowly crawls back into the game only to lose as Indiana sinks their FT's late. Indiana 67 Michigan 63 For any M fan in Louisville, where are YOU watching the game? I'm thinking Diamonds on Barrett Ave.

M has an entire year to flip Webb. He'll be like most young adults in his position and eventually open things up again. The kid is 17 fergodsakes. |

One of my favorite aspects of traveling back to Michigan every Thanksgiving is watching the MHSAA finals in football. I remember watching this game with my dad, we especially enjoy any championship that doesn't involve a Detroit Catholic League team (I'm a Harper Creek Alum, I lost to St Mary's once with Jermaine Gonzales at QB and watched HC lose the past two years... all in the semifinals). The announcers called it David vs Goliath and all of the pregame revolved around Loyola's super massive offensive line |
