So technically it does include a loss of down. If you are called for grounding on 1st down, you receive a 10 yard penalty and it becomes 2nd down. Under my insane proposal, you go straight to 3rd down. In golf, if you're 1st shot goes into the water, your next shot will be your 3rd stroke.
My insane football rules idea is to make intentional grounding similar to a penalty stroke in golf. Let's say it's first down and your QB is called for intentional grounding...guess what? Now it's 3rd down.
Every game I am blown away by the lack of out-of-town highlights/scores during breaks. If Northwestern just scored to go ahead of MSU late, show us! That's my only real in-stadium complaint.
Why is the Athletic Department so stubborn to just scrap those upper bowl student seats that NEVER get filled these days and make them open to the general public? The Maize Rage is on a huge downward spiral, and the student section directly behind the basket doesn't even stand anymore. Plus you have to take into account that this team just isn't that fun to watch right now.
I was at every home game last year (I was an usher) and I thought the students did a decent job on showing up on time at kickoff compared to previous years, but the mass exodus that takes place in the early parts of the 3rd quarter are what blow me away. I know it's a blowout and there's better things to do but man does it empty out quick in the NW corner.
Question: When (if) I get offered season tickets for the first time next month, do they offer you different seating options? Like here are seats in sections X,Y, and Z now pick or do they just give you one option and you either take it or leave it? Also, do they always start you off with 2 seats the first season or can you request 3? TIA
Anybody have an idea for the likelihood of new applicants getting a pair of tickets for this season? I got in the interest list back in November, and I see they still advertise the interest list so that's gotta be a good sign right?
I don't know about that. Michigan will more than likely enter the season in the Top 10; Hawaii will sell out because it's the home opener, UCF will be tough to sell out, but I think Colorado will still draw a sellout becuase the fans will be in a frenzy about moving up in the polls.
Part of the problem, which I don't think anyone has brought up, is the amount of tickets that Michigan gives to Ohio State and of course they are going to fill their allotment. That explains the long strip of red in the South end zone at the very top, the pocket by the flag pole, and section 34 by the student section. I think it would be effective if Michigan cut down on the official amount of tickets that Ohio State receives.

Yes, it would be a turnover on downs. Some people just want to see the world burn.

Mike Tirico (Ann Arbor resident) will be on the call so it may be fairly balanced.
Has anybody heard anything about a watch party at Crisler for Saturday or Monday?
Does anyone know if it's possible to get Michigan's radio broadcast online? TIA

For those that don't have enough donor points, here is a link from the B1G website on other ways to get tickets: http://www.bigten.org/tickets/big10-tickets.html

LSU and Oklahoma losing, plus our big win means we are moving into the Top 5 right?
I'll use this thread as my platform to plead the Athletic Department to PAINT THE ENDZONES LIKE THE ROSE BOWL!

Joined the Season Ticket Interest List this year! Fingers crossed on getting offered some!
Speaking of spring ball, anybody have any guesses on the date for the Spring Game?
I really don't mind them going, WHEN Michigan gets its chance, I hope JB can take the hoops team to go watch.

One of these guys is projecting Michigan vs. Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl...
I would love to have the numbers displayed somewhere on the press boxes along with the national championship years.

He downs YET ANOTHER ONE inside the 5 or 10 yard line, standing ovation for a couple of minutes?
