I'm pretty sure there was (may still be) a larger version of this photo that I remember seeing at the Coach & Four barber shop, autographed by Bo, with the goal line ref circled, asking "What is this man looking at?"
McCord is from suburban Philly and played at St. Joe's Prep.
Dad is familiar with (and likes) Rhule from his Temple days.
If one believes Day told McCord he wouldn't be the Buckeyes' 2024 starting QB, the appeal is the opportunity to beat Third Base in Ohio Stadium in front of Buck-I-Guy, Scarlet and Gray Uncle Fester, and all the other Buckeye fans who've blamed McCord for the loss in Ann Arbor.
If one believes Day told McCord he wouldn't be the starter in 2024, the appeal is the opportunity to return to Columbus and beat Third Base as the Huskers' QB.
When I lived in A2 after graduation, I played on D-league teams at the Cube. I remember Doug Karsch skated on an opposing team when he was at WTKA. Antoine Pitts too.
During that time both of them might have also been in one of Steve Knuble's hockey skills clinics along with me.
Anyway... which leads to the player connection --- during the 2004-05 NHL lockout, Mike Knuble came back to A2 and one night was out on the ice with us demonstrating actual NHL skills. It was amazing to see NHL-level slapshots from that perspective.

"I did my job" -- that's straight from the legendary 2006 Mike Valenti WXYT meltdown the Monday after State blew a 16-point 4th quarter lead against Notre Dame in EL.
I was a U-M grad student, but I had an internship and had driven to Southfield that Tuesday morning.
I remember hearing on the radio about the first plane just as I was parking.
The office had a TV and soon everyone was watching CNN. I remember speculation that the Ren Cen or the Ambassador Bridge might also be targets.
By noon, the management closed the office and I remember it took me over three hours to drive back to Ann Arbor because roads were gridlocked.
I don't remember how long classes were cancelled, but professors used that time later in the week for us to just talk about what we were feeling.
Also, I remember already being sad that morning because I knew one of the Oklahoma State basketball players (Nate Fleming) who died in the plane crash in Colorado earlier in January, and September 11, 2001 would've been his 21st birthday.
Does that mean Michigan's non-conference schedules in 2024 and 2025 will change?
Otherwise, it's 8 home games in 2024 (Fresno, Texas, Arkansas State, 5 B1G games) and 6 home games in 2025 (New Mexico, at Oklahoma, Central Michigan, 4 B1G games)
Will the 2024 Texas game now be in Austin with the 2025 Oklahoma game in Ann Arbor?

Here's their 2024 home schedule
8/31 Miami-Ohio
9/7 Duke
9/14 Eastern Illinois
10/5 Indiana
10/19 Wisconsin
11/16 Ohio State
11/30 Illinois
Northwestern's academic calendar is on a quarter system, and fall classes don't begin until mid-September.
I'd expect their first 4 home games will be on campus, and I'd expect the AD is exploring larger venues for the last 3.

Chris Collins or Fred Hoiberg
In the past week, Greg McDermott signed a long-term contract extension with Creighton.
It wouldn't surprise me to see Fred Hoiberg get an interview, especially with the events in Nebraska this past week.
I think it will be hilarious when UCLA hires P.J. Fleck

It's like ESPN gave them all porn star names.

My understanding was that Nebraska chose not to offer McCord.
Two possible reasons: 1) it was a condition from the Raiola camp, or 2) Rhule didn't want to deal with McCord's helicopter dad.

I believe part of the appeal for Kyle is that the Huskers will play in Columbus on October 26th (i.e., Payback's A Bitch.)
Many Husker fans are still bitter over Husker legacy Joe Burrow not getting any interest from Scott Frost.(or Mike Riley).
It's interesting to see Matt Rhule mentioned in this Kyle McCord thread.
Seems to be some smoke coming from Lincoln. Consider:
I suppose it comes down to whatever school offers McCord the best NIL deal.

Yes, it's likely the steer was already dead.
The frat house can say what they want, but anyone who’s ever seen "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" knows who put it there.
When I lived in Denver, I had a friend who was issued a standard Colorado plate -- "ASK 269"
She said didn't realize the significance until she was at a stop light next to a car of teenaged boys honking and hollering.
Or Monty Python

Eight home games. Nice.
My wife's initial reaction: Why didn't Harbaugh just try to date Marcia Brady?

Iowa lost 4 fumbles, Penn State had no turnovers.
Day's postgame interview seemed more like a bad Coach Prime impression.
Join the Big Ten, Notre Dame.
Then one loss won’t kill your season.

Does make you wonder if he was set up so MSU could get rid of him without the massive buyout.
I wonder if the AD had learned that he did this at Colorado too, with other women?
Worse offense in the B1G? Have you seen this year's Nebraska team? They might go 0-12 this season.
Would appear there's a Colorado element to this too.
I’m sure there’s more to come.

I appreciate the team winning early in OT so I can now watch Succession on HBO.
I had Baylor, Kansas State, Xavier and UConn in my Final Four with Baylor over Xavier in the final.
I wish I could find the clip from the TV commentator who described Matt Painter:
"He reminds me of a fat Baldwin brother."
If the Steve Wilkos Show, Maury, and One Tree Hill had a baby, Nebraska Football would be it.

Seems like many here are convinced that Matt Rhule will be introduced as the new Husker head coach as earliest as Sunday.

Yep. I was at the 78-0 game in 2016.
For one the later TDs, the Rutgers band played The Victors -- probably because they were bored.
