What a turd.

Michigan won.  Times are changing and Michigan won.  Get over it dude!  Michigan got jobbed on Toussaint's TD, Ohio basically lucked out in the turnover dept - you can play the "lucky" card all day long.  Michigan was lucky Braxton's accuracy isn't good.  Ohio was lucky Michigan didn't snag their fumble and lucky the replay official blows a wad.

Michigan's 5-7 bowl-less 2009 team lost to the BCS bound Ohio team by a score of 21-10 and threw the game with mass-turnovers in the red-zone.  Michigan lost.  End of story.  Excuses are lame.

So, in summary, a loss is a loss is a loss is a loss.  Just a typical fan - losing to a rival then reverting back to recent wins and a future of hypotheticals.

Agree

I agree with most of this.  Devin's mistakes were indicative of a guy that doesn't have near the awareness you need your field general to have.

Denard was not put in a position to succeed.  I had a guy tell me after yesterday's game that Denard is just not a passer.  While he's not doing well, no quarterback could have done well yesterday because he was that pressured.

Gotta stick with Denard and put him in a position to make a read or two before he's being tackled or running.

I don't want

I don't want to do this.  Fridays are supposed to be fun man.

I think you are correct.

Now that I think about it - I think I only saw it when I watched the game Sunday (thx to Sat. night wedding).  Someone will get it posted.. MGoVideo usually gets the entire games posted...

V Smoov

I remember seeing V Smith do that, but can't recall when.  There was only one 4th down conversion and it was in the 2nd quarter.  I watched that play and didn't see anything...

Not to be a dick

But, in my opinion that is an absolutley awful video (1) I'm way beyond all things RR, and (2) I would never choose to listen to whatever song that was.

On the first one :29

Denard is essentially weaving his way while the defender is running a straight line.

So - I don't even think I'd say he was pulling away at that point.

Silly

This is just a silly subject.  You're talking minute, fractions of a second.  Denard is still Denard.  What makes Denard so special?  It starts with his ridiculous speed.

Denard has moves in addition to his speed.  Just check out the 3rd and fifteen play in the second quarter of the SDSU game (not so shameless plug - hit up my sig link and I have it tee'd up on my blog highlighting that play where he dances and burns in the same play).

Segment

This is quickly turning into one of those segments that I thoroughly read....

Along with Ace, I'm a fan of "puntmuffin".  Well done.

Wow

This is going to be a fascinating book that may change existing opinions of so-called legends like Lloyd Carr.

Simply can't wait to read this.

Could make sense...

Might be the most logical option at that point.

Don't worry though, there will be an entirely new proposed to-do on conference realignment in the next 12-18 hours.

Thanks man...

I've been fortunate and been to several games with my dad.  I look forward to the tailgate with him just as much as the game itself... so, glad I could help a brother out.  Every dude deserves the experience with his pops.

Thanks, too.  I've kind of learned it's just part of life.  We all go at some point and she's suffered waaaay too long.  Too many surgeries, chemo, surgeries, more chemo, etc.  Worst part is she's only 53 and my little bro is 15... so i feel bad for my bro.

But hey, enough on all that.  Appreciate all you great M fans.  Go Blue.

No worries

I'll drop you a text.  I'd recommend early morning if it makes no difference to you.  It's extremely dark out this way in the country...you'll have an easier time in the AM.

No doubt about it my friend

I just google mapped Morenci to Neapolis, OH.  It's gonna be 30-35 miles pending your Morenci location.

I'd be happy to do that for you - nothing like a father-son day in the big house.

I could drive a short way to meet you if it works out timing wise (mom needs someone here at all times, so I probably can't leave the house unless a nurse shows up, which they do here and there) - - otherwise, I can give you the address here.... let me know how you feel bout that drive and what time you'd be by to pick them up..

Really though.

If you can make it out this way or already live west of Toledo - tickets are yours... If interested, let me know - directions will follow.

Thanks

Thanks guys.  Yea not to get too into it, but she's doing the in-home hospice deal now.  Ovarian cancer got the best of her.  Gotta do what you gotta do though, don't want those regrets later in life.  A2 isn't goin' anywhere!  I'm looking foward to catching the whole deal on BTN and that 3:30 game too.

That's Low

Speaking of tix.  I have two endzone seats 42 rows up (section 13) that I'm not going to be able to use.  My mother is sick and had an episode tonight and it's going to keep me from going to the game.

My mom lives out in the Swanton / Wauseon / Delta area about 30-40 mins west of Toledo.  I don't really mind what I get for them.  Face is $70 but damn, if you can get 'em for that low on StubHub... if you want 'em you can bring me a nice large cup of bean juice from McDonald's or something and we'll call it even.

Holler if at all interested and you live out this way....

Seriously

Those are ugly as a mugg.  Not really ever impressed with any of the pro-combat uni's.  I think I've liked a couple of Boise's renditions...but that's about it.

Like those Arizona State jersey's from the other night - these for the spartans are fugly.

Suggestion....

Like the writing a lot and it's a great weekly segment.

I found myself wanting to know who each team plays in the coming week.  Maybe put it right beneath "Last Game" or at the very bottom of each teams "If Mich played the last Sat."...

My friend asked me if I

My friend asked me if I wanted a frozen banana, I said "No, but I want a regular banana later, so ... yeah".

I think Pringles original intention was to make tennis balls... but on the day the rubber was supposed to show up a truckload of potatoes came. Pringles is a laid-back company, so they just said, "Fuck it, cut em up!"

I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it.

The Man

Mitch Hedberg was the man... too bad he didn't make it out of his twenties..

The world

is ready to see Roh have a big year.  Now is kinda the time for him to be the bad dude he can be...

Awesome Pic

That's an awesome pic.  They both have lots of helmet sticks..

YESS

A feather of disagreement!

Galllon

Did he cough up the ball there?

Still nice...always enjoy this post....

Coaching

A better D comes from the combo of a positive coaching change, a microscope on the fundamentals, experience, a well-taught scheme and coaching adjustments on player personnel.

I don't have many comparisons of RR staff vs. Hoke staff - but Roh hangin' where the LB's roam is not something that Hoke and Mattison will see happen.  Not to say they won't make any mistakes with players.  Who knows on WIll Campbell...

It's obvoius that these guys are held accountable based on their technique.  That will help.  You have guys more experienced coming back.  I think there's a positive mix of change that should make this D better.

Some games will be a nasty reminder of the past and others will be a tunnell with some bright lights at the end..

Yes

All it says is that Gardner is having a great camp and Hoke wants to get him some playing time early because it's good for him.

Very standard, nothing new nothing significant.

Goes on to say that Denard is having a great camp as well and is clearly the starter..

Congrats

Congrats to "The New Guys"...  Look forward to all the value that they will most certainly bring to the community round these parts...

Tallness

Last season i lucked into a field pass at the Indiana game and for the majority of the game Doug Karsch was standing where I was.  Dude is definitely tall.

I also shook his hand and kind of introduced myself.  After I did that I was thinking to myself "man Doug Karsch could give two shits who I am!"

Nevertheless, seemed like a quality guy...

Fitz Touss

In the little action Fitz has seen he's looked good.  As long as he's been healthy it doesn't surprise me that his name is being mentioned...

Yup

That was an awesome drive and I think it started with a ho-hum 5-6 yarder then he broke one for 15-20 yards...  Howard always hit an opening full speed ahead...

Howard has his moments.

Should be interesting to see how people feel about the next 15!  To me, that '97 team carries a little more clout in terms of being memorable.  Howard doesn't make this list if he's not a key component of a championship team.

Agree.

It's a guarantee they will try to simulate as much as possible from all angles relative to game days... including UTL

Unverified Voracity

UV shirt is nice... might have to pick that one up

Don't Remember

I can't even recall Roger Allison...

I vividly remember Jackson talking about Shaw and McGuffie before the 2008 season started thinking that the offense will be fine with two up and coming greats in the backfield regardless of who was under center... i be wrong

Do you really think 7am?  I

Do you really think 7am?  I suppose some people will, but I assume the bulk of folks won't start arriving until 10-11 am to get in line....

I could be way off...

Agree relative to make

Agree relative to making judgements after games are played.  I think about the past couple years - and outside of the secondary issues vs. ND in the '09 win - it wasn't until B1G play where the D just got tore up from the floor up.

I definitely expect significant improvement from the D... but it may not truly show until October...

Well

I'm a big supporter of friends and fam - and I appreciate your generosity there in making yourself available for these tickets!

I'm at that age where I'm not yet married, and I'm getting burnt out on going to weddings.  The count this summer is at 5, and I've been in two of them.  Being in a wedding can be an ordeal.  Multiple weekends, travel, etc.  But they are typically a blast when with close friends.  No complaints..

Yes, I communicated via all

Yes, I communicated via all the above, wouldn't want anything to fall through the cracks.  It went swimmingly.

A waste of TP

Pryor is not the "unbelievable athlete" i've heard him be called today a few times.

I bet the newly draft-eligible to play in week 6 Pryor will never be a decent quarterback and might venture through an unsuccesful stint at tight end or wideout.

Once in a Lifetime..

UTL is and will be a once in a lifetime experience.  I backed out of two weddings - 9.10.11 turns out to be a popular date for that type of event - and let's just say they weren't happy about it.

I told them, you're wedding is your big day, but it sure as hell isn't mine so yea, see you in A2 on 9.10.11..

Hoke is likeable dude.  Does

Hoke is likeable dude.  Does a good job of mixing in some humor but clearly getting his message across...

Look forward to more of these stories!

Golf Course Parking

Any idea when the course gates will open up?  Hoping for 8am!

Man if Bass only could have

Man if Bass only could have enjoyed an injury-free career!  Damn.

Classic games from the 90's

Those games are such a joy to watch.  Winning as a huge underdog in '95 in amazing fashion and then taking care of business in '97.

I'm ready for some big things this Saturday.  I don't expect a win, but if it happens it will be the sweetest victory in yeeeeeaaars....

Scoring Points...

Regardless of how or when the offense scores - the point is that they are scoring.  Michigan's 28 points against Wisky was the most since 1990.. (I think that's right).

The offense only gets better from here on out.  Bowl, spring and fall practice seasons will allow this unit to get better and better.

Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for the holiday UFR!

That is correct.

Letting RR go would be foolish at this point, it really would.  DB has referenced in an interview how it's not always the answer to just fire your coach.  He reference Detroit pro teams and rhetorically asked how that has worked out for them.

I've been saying this - in '07 most Michigan fans wanted change really bad, really, bad.  You have to give change a chance to materialize, even if the timeline has been pushed back by 1 or 2 years.

Comparing Games year to year

I think coming to any judgment on improvement or the lack there of based upon comparative results from last year to this year is largely irrelevant.  Just becuase UM came within a few plays of beating MSU last season doesn't mean this team fell off or hasn't improved because of this years loss at home.

You judge a program no Ws and Ls.  So Michigan is improved.  When you play a team like Wisconsin, who will graduate 19 starters or something, you cannot expect great execution and a W from a team that is fielding about 19 freshman and sophomore starters.

Great Interview

Frost would be a great get for Michigan.  Hopefully he goes blue here in the near future!
