Allow me to break it down for you Fred Jackson style: Chapel Hill is like Ann Arbor, but much warmer. But I do agree that Michigan has quite a bit more to offer to a young and talented football player than Carolina does.

My friends and I jokingly refer to that vi -- IV -- I -- V chord progression as the "saving the world chords".

"A common usage of the word is slang to describe a man considered to be "weak or contemptible" in some way"
in other words, it's an insult imlying a man is 'weak or contemptible' *like a woman*. the entire meaning of that word is rooted in sexism dude.
it is quite ridiculous that an educated man such as yourself is incapable of making that connection
"So please, save your righteous crusade for an actual cause and spare us the outraged freshman-in-a-first-year-gender-equality-seminar bullshit. Goodnight."
the amount of condescension you have for gender studies would be astonishing if it weren't so normal in our culture.

Are you dense? It's not offensive because of the profanity it's offensive because of the implication of violence against women.
You wouldn't say "Izzo cried dying like a n-----" so why would you say the other one? What the actual fuck is wrong with you?
What the fuck kind of world do you live in where that's acceptable?

I seem to remember that aside from 2-3 bad snaps over the course of last season, Glasgow held up pretty well in UFRs.

This is fantastic news. What this means is that we are getting a young, family oriented (from his twitter), forward thinking, and tech savvy individual to serve as a 24/7 extra pair of strategic eyes for the staff, looking out for any possible advantage we could be missing out on. Also, he's a former walk on quarterback at a D1 school, not to mention his job as a GA under Coach Nuss at Bama... should be a knowledgeable fella well suited to doing the type of analytics necessary for peak competition in the modern era.
Often, quality control coaches are heavily involved in scouting other teams' film weeks in advance, preparing the scout team, and also self scouting to reduce weakness and predictability. This is a great pickup!
Welcome aboard John! Go Blue!
|12 weeks 4 days ago||dude. do you even know a||
dude. do you even know a damn thing about tyrone wheatley? let me fill you in a little bit on his resume:
1. basically raised his brothers and sisters himself, from a very young age.
his remarkable talents on the field aside, tyrone wheatley is one of the most badass and remarkable men to ever graduate from the university of michigan. do you think it's easy having your dad murdered and your mom ruined by addiction? this man has overcome more than anybody to get where he is and he DEMANDS excellence and accountability.
there is not a single candidate for that job that will be able to recruit better than Tyrone Wheatley. there is not a single running backs coach that has more NFL playing experience to draw on than Tyrone Wheatley. there is not a single parent that doesn't want their son to play for a man who singlehanded lifted his family out of the hood without any real support from his elders. and there is not a single candidate who has had to overcome more hurdles to reach his position of excellence than Tyrone Wheatley. NO ONE wants him just because he went to Michigan. EVERYONE wants him because he is the best candidate for the job. ANYONE who doesn't want him is flat out clueless.

I agree. Plus the wings have been really good at running the offense this year in the absense of Burke. I would love to see what a lineup of Horford/Morgan/GRIII/Stauskas/LeVert could do, even for just five minutes on the floor together. Obviously Spike and Walton need their minutes too, and you can't overuse Horford and Morgan without someone else capable of playing the 5, but I don't think it's ridiculous to ever play them together.
I think that unit would be damn hard to attack on defense. If LeVert (2014 Tim Hardaway Jr. Memorial Streaky Shooter Award Nominee) can get a little more consistent with his shot (not an overnight thing, I know), they'd really have some firepower forcing the defense to play tight help defense on the bigs inside and punishing them with kickouts to open shooters when they do. Easy points in the paint and deadly 3 point shooters. Hell yes, that's

>Crazies call for the back-up, freshman QB at nearly every program, regardless of race.
Right on, that's a pretty good point.
I tend to define racism as systemic inequality whereas most people define racism as blatant personal prejudice or hatred. I would love to try to expand the way people think about race, and I think that it is an issue in football that won't go away on its own, but I can see that trying to force that discussion on this board will probably not be very constructive.
|13 weeks 19 hours ago||What exactly is it that could||
What exactly is it that could possibly make people think Shane is a better option than Gardner next year? Don't get me wrong I love Shane and am looking forward to seeing what he can do behind the elite line we will build, but no way am I looking forward to the departure of DG.
Is this an unconscious race thing or something? Residual attitudes about slave labor lead to noxious ideas like black players are better suited for workhorse roles like RB and you need a white guy to make the right reads at QB? And then the realities of socioeconomic disparities combined with these attitudes mean you do in fact still see white players over represented at QB (it takes a lot of $$ to get all that extra coaching) and black players over represented at RB.
Is this why people are calling for Shane? Please tell me Michigan fans are smarter than that.

|13 weeks 2 days ago||Those gameplans worked so||
Those gameplans worked so well because the offense took risks that payed off when the players were able to execute. I don't think you can have the record breaking games without having some stinkers as well, unless your players are truly that talented and experienced (we have one out of two).
So yeah, Borges looks like a genius one week and an idiot the next, is his game planning that drastically different? Is that the best explanation we can come up with?
Don't get me wrong, I am glad Borges was let go and I am beyond thrilled about what Nuss said about being downhill, physical, and controlling the pace of the game to maximize their advantage. But the amount of emotion-driven Borges hate on this board can be pretty frustrating. Dude did some things that worked and some things that didn't. His tenure is over now. Let's move forward.
