What's the point of the camera on the Zamboni? It's cool seeing the tire meeting ice and all, but actually not. About as great as the sky-cam in basketball.

Cornell Fight Song

I've seen a lot of comments on here about Cornell playing the MSU fight song, and I wanted to clear that up. There are two parts in their fight song that are nearly identical to MSU's (especially the "fight for the only colors" part), but they are definitely not playing MSU's fight song.

Hearing it did get the team (and fans) fired up, though! The music nerd in me had to go check it out.

x2 post fail.

.

Sorry, I just don't think

Sorry, I just don't think anyone wants to read a post that includes:

"Oregon (The University of, University of or whatever of anything of whatever)"

"WTF?  WTF Phil Knight's influence on Ducks' ball?"

"They are wearing some uniforms in tonight's whatever bowl...Is this Slut University Sports?"

"but oh shit when the Domers really really need a victory before the old alumni crap their pants they wear green and some form of gold.  This is yet another slut college."

Maybe it's just me...

ugh.

SHUT IT OFF!!!

Hopefully these educated

Hopefully these educated students are looking further than just if the coach will be there the next year.

My favorite part is how vague

My favorite part is how vague your descriptions and facts are. All very ambiguous and uninformed. At least try to come up with the Bowl's name and don't refer to schools as "slut" schools, just because they're colors aren't as traditional as the Maize and Blue. The uniforms are streamlined and contemporary, and alot of people like them. It just wouldn't work at UM.

Just to get some historical

Just to get some historical perspective, Fu, how many points did Brian dock you?

Bro.

I've been telling you this stuff all year. Thanks for finally comin' around.

Wait...

You guys aren't enjoying all of those threads...?

It definitely depends.

It definitely depends.

But I was having so much fun

But I was having so much fun reading angry comments on 3 threads simultaneously! Mods are bringin' me down.

Indiana, maybe?

Indiana, maybe?

When I see this, I think

When I see this, I think Gatorade. Is anyone else getting that?

Not that anyone will actually refer to those names,

but, Legends and Leaders don't seem to be on the same level, power-wise (if you know what I mean.) Legends seem way more influencial than Leaders. Couldn't they have done something simple like "These 6 Teams" and "Those 6 Teams?"

Big fail, and the logos are terrible too.

plus you taking a stand, then

plus you taking a stand, then backing down doesn't really accomplish anything.

Unfortunately...

This is the world we live in, Stephen (if that's your real name...). This sounds like something you want to avoid because it hurts your family, but if it's really worth it to you, then it's either mgoblog and deal with it, or walk away. When I first joined, I thought this would be completely M sports, but there are a lot of perverts out there, and it can't be avoided.

I admire your willingness to take a stand, and while I completely agree with you, boys will be boys, and boys will be immature and inappropriate. When I do come on here, I only click on topics that sound very on-topic, but even that will bring something you don't expect most of the time.

It shouldn't be a matter of you not wanting your family to see it, it should be a matter of you not wanting to see it because of how your family will be affected. (Just my opinion and own philosophy)

This is so entirely

This is so entirely disturbing. You rock my world.

But what do INTS really mean?

I mean, Payton Manning doesn't throw many of those either... right?

Right?

I'm glad that's something you

I'm glad that's something you can take pride in. She now joins the likes of Jennifer Love-Hewitt, Jennifer Aniston, and Jessica Simpson.

This guy?

John Mayer, G #83

What, you call that a party?

(no subject)

I sincerely hope he doesn't turn into a Favre. He seems too classy for that, and has been so successful, so it'd be bad for him to build that reputation. Best of luck to him if he decides to "stay" done.

Don't be such a ...

While I don't necessarily disagree, that's just a lot of opinion, in my opinion.

Louder than during a football game?

WHOA Red. It'll be a really interesting game to see!

Apologies!

I'm sure it was, sorry! I just logged on and saw the board with speculations and all.

Finally,

someone who can see past all of the "OMG URBAN IS GOING TO REPLACE RR" crap.

Thanks for covering me, Mr. Pipster.

When I "make it big," I'll pay you back. Promise.

This is one of those moments where you realize things are nothing like you imagined them. My mind has been blown. I've always imagined Brian with a halo around his head, but who knew he actually looks like Jesus?

Thanks for the Update, Tim.

While I understand MGoBlog is very football-heavy, it's great to see some news on other varsity (or almost varsity) sports! Appreciate it, and keep up the good work.

After some research...

USA today reported after 2006 new uniforms that they had 384 different combinations of jersey, pants, helmet, shoes, and socks. They added a new helmet in 2007, which (according to wikipedia and I'm to lazy to do math) bumped it up to 512. They introduced new jerseys (with wings and more) in 2009, which, according to Uni Watch, bumps their total up to 2,456 different combinations.

This is kind of depressing...

.

I definitely agree with you on this. I actually graduated with James Jackson at Grand Ledge and it seemed "wrong" to me that he would go to OSU rather than UM, but honestly it also seemed that they had the better program, so it was almost more impressive that he go down there. I don't think that's something that would have happened in years past.

I don't know much about Jim Tressel, but based on Jackson, I kind of doubt how much values character. I'd like to think players like Jackson wouldn't play at UM because I doubt he had good grades in HS, and he really just had an awful attitude. I was in plenty of classes with him in HS, including a class during our senior year where he bitched out an elderly teacher in front of the class and called her racist for giving him a bad grade on a paper. He was suspended for one day. I imagine if I had done the same, I would have been suspended for a much longer time, and my scholarships here at UM would have been in jeopardy. I wouldn't want someone like that representing the University. I am very pleased to see press conferences at UM, because players like Denard and Stonum represent the University well.
