But what you are missing is that the B1G had a multitude of options to generate the same or similar value, while also adding to the excitement and tradition of the conference. Nothing of true, lasting value is gained by adding more bottom dwellers to the conference.
When you are in a position of strength you do not settle. The B1G was strong at 12 teams. It is not appreciably better now at 14. And if you claim that Rutgers and Maryland bring you more of nyc and dc than michigan, ohio, and psu do then you are in a pipe dream.

You're also leaving out the huge surge in gang violence in denver the last couple years. Denver needs to take a serious look at how it is protecting its citizens, and families need to take a hard look at the values they're teaching their kids.

For those of you who have been to a Penn State home game, especially at night, you know that their atmosphere is unreal. Songs like zombie nation, the white pom poms, the shitty construction, etc, make that entire stadium rock like very few places on earth. I guarantee they sold those moments to recruits in the past. In a time of desperation for that fanbase, i'm surprised they would move away from someone who has garnered them national attention in a positive way.
Saw erik magnusson and zach banner after the game outside the tunnel. Just a fan, saw them hanging out and had a quick chat. Important quotes. Banner "that was the most incredible thing I've ever seen" . Magnusson "how do you guys feel about having the best oline in the country?" Me: we could use one more. Magnusson. "I know, right? I'm working on it." And then he looked banner right in the eye and they both laughed.
Both guys were super friendly, and magnusson especially reminded me a bit of taylor lewan. And banner is the largest man I've ever seen.
