and here come the excuses

o'korn and the defense lost this game. o'korn missed a ton of wide open guys on good play calls and the defense let a backup qb beat them. the metellus drop of an easy int was not because of the refs. osu is a better team and is much better coached

+1000

gotta beat some good teams and soon

a loss to o$u this week makes UM 9-7 in the last 16. next years schedule is beyond tough. a great improvement might occur without an increase in wins.

nice job ace

IMO mccaffrey needs to be in the QB equation. A year in a college S&C program, learning the offense and the obvious talent pushes him even with the speight/peters combo.

I also think mason is at least the equal of poggi/hill. Might be an issue with depth though.

I'd love to see the collection of highly paid offensive coaches earn that $$$$$$$$$$$

come on Brian

you mention hoke EVERY week. this has to have a shelf life no? you called hoke a 'fucking coward' for not going for it on 4th and short a few years ago yet you NEVER say anything remotely critical of harbaugh after one of the several head scratching play calls in any given game. this offensive coaching staff makes too much $ for these results. fisch was a better offensive coach than any of them, including harbaugh.

again

at what point do you stop blaming hoke and maybe put some blame on an offensive coaching staff with 3 QB 'guru's' and 2 offensive line coaches clearly not pulling their weight or earning their ridiculous salaries.

um

do you remember denard in the nd game in 2012? we lose by 7 and he threw 4 int's.

brady is my uncle :)

but seriously I call brian out for slamming hoke for coaching during a win but giving harbaugh a pass for the msu debacle in 2015. i also give brian shit for still bringing up hoke after losses. he still does it in year 3 of harbaugh. AND I give brian shit for not criticizing a coaching staff that has harbaugh, hamilton AND turner all coaching qb's that have been average at best this year.

jake butt

had some not so nice things to say about the coaches philosophy when it comes to injury

seriously?

the psu and msu games this year were much worse than a fucking WIN that morons like brian still complain about. the 2 losses to msu at home under harbaugh were coaching malpractice at its worst.

+1000

back to back run-run-pass 3 and outs to open the game. might as well have punted on first down. psu was loading the box daring UM to throw. you can't have a winning team if you don't trust your QB to throw the ball

finally

a game recap without the word 'hoke'.

Brian

Brian was a giant douche last week. Ed should have drop kicked his fat ass.

harbaugh

harbaugh deserves the same level of criticism that the previous 2 coaches received after every single loss. 5-4 in the last 9 games is a fact. coaching away 2 home games vs msu is a fact. a 3rd straight loss (2 at home) to osu looks like it's going to be a fact. having a coach that is touted as a qb guru and offensive genius field an offense this bad is deserving of criticism.

and there is the obligatory hoke blame game

at what point do you realize you sound like a moron blaming hoke for every single loss? harbaugh is 5-4 in his last 9 games. you were all over hoke for an 11-2 season and 2 close road losses. you are a hypocrite.

great job

but speight misses perry wide open in the back corner of the EZ on the play where he scrambled and tried to loft the ball to crawford that was batted down. IMO, this is a combo of speight missing open guys and really bad RPS with drevno/hamilton/harbaugh playcalling

all hoke jokes aside

I'd love to see the TE's featured more in these redzone possessions. Michigan has FIVE (5) TE'S That I think are matchup problems for defenses.

it's hoke's fault

or at least that's what brian thinks

please

this is the 3rd year of harbaugh. this is a 8 or 9 win team off of back to back 10 win teams. at what point does he become accountable for anything?

so typical of brian

when all else fails, blame hoke for everything. the fundamental issues that are popping up during games are not the fault of someone that left over 2 seasons ago. harbaugh is supposed to be some sort of qb whisperer, yet speight is the same 'blah' qb he was last year. not using the TE's in an obvious mismatch against AF is not hoke's fault. ridiculous overthrows are not hoke's fault. the constant 'let's blame hoke' narrative is lazy and old.

hey thanks

thanks for the support. your input is appreciated.

nonissue?

this can happen in nearly any sport. if your daughters play soccer they are at risk. i played football my entire chidhood and never had an issue. i got a concussion playing basketball and had to sit out my senior year of football in high school. i still don't remember about 5 hours of the day it happened.

this take is getting old

where were the rawls posts last week when he went for an awesome 8 rushes for 14 yards? or the week before when he went for 8 rushes for 8 yards? or the week before that when he had 21 rushes for 34 yards?

that is a total of 37 rushes for 56 yards. stop acting like he goes over 100 every week. fact is last night was only his 2nd game over 100 all year. he is an average nfl back.

coaching

they lost 3 of their last 4 leading all late in the game. coaching issues led to each of the losses. lousy playcalling in the 4th q of both iowa and osu and last night with the decision not to kick the ball out of the endzone and then not taking timeouts before fsu scored the winning td. IMO, the season was ok but not what it should have been.

welp

that was way too easy

miss Baxter

you are going to miss the coach that cost us the msu game? not instructing your punter what to do in  that situation is coaching malpratice. 93rd in punt success rate. a couple of horrific roughing the punter penalities, a punt return for a td and the debacle against msu. that was enough for me.

But overall, punting was the only special teams category in which Michigan didn't produce decent efficiency numbers. That made O'Neill the most replaceable piece, and now he will be replaced.

McElwain

McElwain still hasn't removed Jim's size 12 from his ass after the NYD whipping.

also

water is wet

Bush

Bush is up to 232 according to the roster. He will be a factor on special teams at the very least. Non league games will give the young guys at LB and DB a shot to get a decent amount of snaps.
