I don't buy the article. He's going to have to say a quote about being all Hawkeyes to prevent backlash from Iowa's staff and fanbase. I know the OP is a big UM fan, but he also seems like a legit guy who wouldn't do all this leg work and waste his player's time if there was no hope for a change. He would also be severing his relationship w/ Harbaugh if he sent a kid up there who had no interest in flipping.

You're right. It must run in the blood because his uncle played baseball at UT, I believe
|2 days 11 hours ago||Also, I meant that he won't||
Also, I meant that he won't play QB at the pro level, but maybe another position. If you look at his pics, 5'10" is generous (which 247 lists him at). Brees and Manziel are listed at 6', and Wilson is at least 5'11" (not that 1-2" is a huge deal, but those guys you mentioned are very rare game changers). I live in Austin, and there's not very much optimism around Merrick, whose best offers were CSU and Nevada
|2 days 11 hours ago||What's next?||
With Murray's height, I don't think he'll ever play pro ball - still a tough loss for Strong, though. I wonder if he uses the last few days to go for a middling 3-star dual-threat, or someone in more of a Gentry mold

And isn't UCLA the most applied to public school in the nation? Cal, UCLA, and UVA all just came out above us in the US News

I grew up in trailer parks, and at one point was relying on food stamps and the food shelter. I emancipated from my parents in HS, and my Mom could only afford the gas to visit campus once/semester from her house 3 hrs. away. My 2 brothers and I were all first-gen college grads, and we ended up all doing it at UM. I guess my situation was a bit different because I earned a full-ride tuition scholarship to get my tuition covered (but covered everything else myself), while my brothers took on part-time jobs and a shitload of loans. Senior year I had to get a school-funded emergency loan to cover the last semester's living expenses.

#9: Chris's sister can visit Ann Arbor. Wait, I think that's on the other list, the one for UM fans... http://t.co/T2Te8svMJs

It's where Jim took Tyrone Wheatley to celebrate after? before? signing his contract to come on board

I read an update where Snoop said it hurt USC's chances because they lost to UCLA this year. Also, it's worth noting that he's really tight w/ Iman Marshall and Josh Rosen

|4 days 1 hour ago||Not true||
Not true at all. My 2 brothers and I all went to UM, and my oldest brother regretted not going Greek when he saw the comradery and life-long friendships we developed in our fraternity. A lot of people like him just saw all the open-invite parties at the time, but didn't realize just how much it had to offer behind-the-scenes (sorority mixers, rituals, philanthropy, random social events like bowling/golf tourneys, IM sports, study groups, and non-damaging getaway trips

I grew up in Gaylord and used to work at Treetops Resort during High School. They recently had to file for bankruptcy, so paying for lawyer/court fees to recoup a fair amount of money is probably not reducing their stress. Also, I was a Greek who attended a couple Sammy parties just after they re-colonized. Their members got a little crazier each year I was in school

Good business and engineering programs? It probably won't help us that UT has top-10 business and engineering programs also
|3 weeks 2 days ago||To play devil's advocate...||
It pretty much also says(some words mine here) they had a phenomenal 11-2 season, beat a team in Baylor that a lot of people felt should have been in the 4-team playoff, and only had losses to the 2 best teams in the country who are playing in the national championship

The Michigan difference
|38 weeks 4 days ago||IBM||
IBM has lost some of its public fame because it got out of the hardware business, but there are still SOOO many people who are writing case analyses as we speak on their sales and IT consulting functions. Also, it's really commendable to make a switch to a services-based company while realizing your money maker (PCs) is about to get virtually displaced.

To the OP, "Re-signs" NOT "Resigns." Very different meaning here.

That's not all in Austin. Apple is doubling the size of their Austin office to 10K people, Dell (albeit poor performer) is still around, Intel recently moved here, Google has a smaller office, AMD's HQ, Samsung/HP have a presence

Steve Patterson came to give a talk to our MBA marketing class a few weeks ago. A couple points:

Well, at least they got the out-of-bounds call at the end, unlike us. I agree the offensive foul killed their momentum, though

Really, no position more dangerous? How about a boxer, a QB who continually gets blindsided, or a WR who gets lot up in the middle of the field? Maybe the actual baseball to the face is the most dangerous type of hit, but the frequency of the hits for the aforementioned players is much dangerous overall

Did you watch any games before his son committed to UM? He was just as bad, if not worse, back then.

I attend the McCombs School of Business now and am having lunch w/ Red McCombs in a couple months. On the campus, there is only a mild racial undertone. The principal issue is that UT became the leading revenue-generating program in the country by building a clean-cut program w/ uber supportive donors. Strong's checkered past w/ the media and boosters scares a TON of people.

If he wants the #2 jersey, but he also wants to be BETTER than Woodson, the #3 jersey seems like the perfect differentiator where he can make his own, but similar, legacy.
