|5 weeks 5 days ago||Have we been watching the same game ?||
The Wings actually have more scoring chances than TB, they have played far better today than in game one.
|5 weeks 5 days ago||Actually feel better about this series after today||
It is strange to say down 4-0, but the play has been pretty even today in terms of chances. In game one the Wings didn't look like they belonged on the ice with TB, despite the win.
|5 weeks 5 days ago||They have played much better||
They have carried the play at times, unfortunately one of those strange games where the scoreboard tells a different story.
|5 weeks 5 days ago||That is fucking bullshit||
How the hell did the Red Wings get an extra penalty out of that? TB started the whole thing.
|6 weeks 1 day ago||All the prosecution had to prove is that he was there||
Under the law they have, whether he pulled the trigger or not didn't matter. Admitting he was there was actually a idiotic move on the part of the defense, given that fact.
|7 weeks 3 days ago||Somebody in the other thread said these were||
the same officials from the title game against Louisville. Is that true? If it is, what in the fuck were these jokers doing near another title game?
|7 weeks 3 days ago||Didn't catch the names of the officials||
Are they really the same ones, who officiated the title game against Louisville? If so, they have possibly cost two teams national titles. They should have been nowhere near a title game after the previous one.
|7 weeks 3 days ago||Tigers should still be the favorite in the division||
Even with the question marks and the improvement of the Sox, they still have the most starpower in the division. The Royals lost some key pieces, and the Indians will still have the same flaws they had last year. The combination of Cabrera, Martinez, Martinez, and Cespedes could be the best 3-6 in the game and will be very difficult for opposing pitchers to deal with.
The one and two combination of Price and a healthy Anibal Sanchez at the top of the rotation, regardless of what happens with Verlander is still top notch. I think non-Tiger fans underestimate Sanchez, the guy was the ERA champion in the AL two years ago.
The bullpen, Verlander's performance/health and other question marks like the leadoff spot against righties might keep this team from reaching it's ultimate goal again, though.
|8 weeks 18 hours ago||True||
The foul that was called on the wrong Louisville player and should have fouled Hancock out of the game was arguably even worse.
|10 weeks 6 days ago||Was not able to watch the game||
16 free throw attempts to 2, and 13 fouls to 5 seems pretty slanted. Looking at the box score it looks like they outplayed or at least matched Wisconsin in most areas, shot a higher percentage and made more field goals.
Like I said I wasn't able to watch, so I don't know if the officiating was as one sided as it appears, but I would hate if a team with as much heart as this one had their NCAA dreams ended, due in part to bulllshit.

1. Stanford was an absolute wreck before Harbaugh arrived, even a great recruiter would not be able to walk into that place and bring in top 10 recruiting classes. Stanford's recruiting classes in 2009 and 2010 (after he had established himself) were both significantly better than anything Stanford had brought in prior to Harbaugh arriving. Before arriving at Stanford he was also not on most people's radar as a great coach, that is clearly not the case this time around. Given the fact that Hoke and his staff were able to bring in a couple of top 10 classes I think you are being somewhat delusional, if you don't think a guy with Harbaugh's pedigree and his staff can't do the same.
2. You can win with any style. Harbaugh didn't have Alabama like talent at Stanford either, but that didn't stop him from going 12-1 in his final year. Offense regardless of what a team runs still ultimately comes down to execution and having a good gameplan. Acting as though a defense can't slow down a spread offense with a good gameplan and execution is also silly. You are also assuming that Harbaugh is more rigid than he actually is, his teams at Stanford while being heavy pro style also utilized some spread elements and SF was also one of the first teams in the NFL to start using the pistol. Harbaugh is not Hoke, his staff will call the game in the manner that it takes to win.
3. If he wins more games than the previous two HC's here none of that will matter. Winning solves everything. I am also not sure where you getting that he wore out his welcome at Stanford to an unfathomable degree, he left for he thought was a better job. Do you really think Stanford would not have wanted him back? He led them to a level of success, which was a pipe dream before he arrived
|19 weeks 1 day ago||Was going to point that out too||
Saying Miller didn't win a title is little disengeous when he quarterbacked a team that went undefeated and would have played for the national title (and been favored), without the sanctions.
|19 weeks 1 day ago||The difference in the national title game wasn't QB play||
Mariotta statistically had a good day, the difference was Ohio State's offensive and defensive lines controlling the run game. Maybe from a injury standpoint there might be an advantage to having a bigger QB, but I don't think it is a requirement to match up against physical defenses. Having a physical RB and o-line is what matters for combating a physical defense.
|19 weeks 1 day ago||I don't care what system he was playing in||
59 total tds to only 6 turnovers is ridiculous. That is the best ratio in the history of college football. Regardless of how QB friendly Oregon's offense is, it's not like just any QB could put up those numbers. Arm strength isn't everything, if it was the Tim Couch's and Ryan Leaf's of the world would not have been NFL busts. Intelliegence and decision making can make up for not having the best arm strength. I am not sure how he will turn out, but he has the intelligence to learn a more NFL oriented scheme.
|24 weeks 17 hours ago||Exactly, this team didn't really need more free-swinging power||
They needed am everyday guy who could hit 1 or 2 ( Aoki for example, who played with KC last year) and help in the bullpen. They still have time to get bullpen help, though.
|24 weeks 17 hours ago||Are you assuming they resign Scherzer?||
Because if they don't that outcome would be a moot point since there is no way that Greene can offset the loss of Scherzer. Once again, we are back to the same conclusion, that this team at best is not any better than last year's team that wasn't good enough.
|24 weeks 21 hours ago||Krol was never a valuable piece of that trade in the first place||
Scouts had him pegged as fringe major league type of guy, who most likely would only stick in long relief. Not a surprise that is what he turned out to be.
They absolutely did not get enough Fister.
|24 weeks 22 hours ago||Gose and Davis are not ideal 1 or 2 type of hitters||
Speed isn't the only component. Neither guy get's on base at a high enough clip to be a great option. Gose doesn't hit for a high enough average and Davis rarely walks.
Not to mention Kinsler being a huge question mark, considering how awful he was offensively in the second half.
|24 weeks 22 hours ago||Not a fan of this offseason so far||
There is no way that losing Scherzer (assuming he isn't resigned) and Porcello from the rotation will lead to this being a better team next year, even with the addition of Cespedes, Simon, and a hopefully healthy Iglasias
Not a fan of Cespedes at all, free swinger to the bone on team that already didn't take enough walks last year. He had an OBP lower than Hunter's last year. Complete one trick pony at the plate, all or nothing. His defense is really the area that will provide a significant upgrade over Hunter's production from the last two years.
They still haven't done squat to bolster the bullpen, assuming Simon and Greene are in the rotation. As others have said you give up valuable trade pieces in the Simon trade for a journeymen, who fell apart in the second half of the year last year.They still don't have a legitimate number 1 or 2 type of hitter either, Kinsler was awful in the second half of the year last year, and neither Davis or Gose are 1 or 2 type of hitters.
Barring any significant move (resigning Scherzer or James Shields) I don't see how anybody could argue that this team has gotten any better and they weren't good enough last year. The window may be shut at this point.
|24 weeks 5 days ago||They lost seven games||
Do you really believe all of those teams were faster, stronger or more talented?
|25 weeks 4 days ago||Harbaugh could resign if he doesn't like the trade options||
SF doesn't have to fire him in order for him to consider UM.
|25 weeks 4 days ago||Bill Snyder of KSU is 75||
I really don't see issue some people seem to have with Les Miles and his age. If Les is still passionate about coaching I don't think his age should be that big of a deal. I would prefer Harbaugh like anybody else, but Les is a good back up option with a track record of success if UM doesn't land Jim.
Edit: This commented was directed at Brody's posts earlier in the thread about not wanting Miles due to his age.
|29 weeks 2 days ago||Do not understand the comments in this thread||
The reality is the Tigers may need to overpay for Victor if they have to, because otherwise if they lose him and Scherzer they are simply not going to be a contender next year. The window will shut on the Tigers if they lose both of those guys,and don't replace them.
|32 weeks 5 days ago||Somewhat dead||
Nowhere near the rocking house that it was in the ND UTL game. Understandable, given the circumstances.
|32 weeks 5 days ago||Still standing with the players||
The coaches not so much. That is the important distinction.
|32 weeks 5 days ago||Disagree||
When you have QB who can't move and protect himself from big hits, I don't see how that isn't dangerous. Same thing with Morris and his ankle, even before the concussion.
|32 weeks 5 days ago||Finally switched||
About fucking time, idiots.
|32 weeks 5 days ago||Still on both stations||
Go fuck yourself, ESPN.
|32 weeks 5 days ago||TCU/Baylor on both ABC and ESPN 2||
What in the fuck is this bullshit?
|32 weeks 5 days ago||TCU/Baylor still on both channels||
What in the goddamn hell?
