|1 week 6 days ago||Somewhat dead||
Nowhere near the rocking house that it was in the ND UTL game. Understandable, given the circumstances.
|1 week 6 days ago||Still standing with the players||
The coaches not so much. That is the important distinction.
|1 week 6 days ago||Disagree||
When you have QB who can't move and protect himself from big hits, I don't see how that isn't dangerous. Same thing with Morris and his ankle, even before the concussion.
|2 weeks 59 min ago||Finally switched||
About fucking time, idiots.
|2 weeks 1 hour ago||Still on both stations||
Go fuck yourself, ESPN.
|2 weeks 1 hour ago||TCU/Baylor on both ABC and ESPN 2||
What in the fuck is this bullshit?
|2 weeks 1 hour ago||TCU/Baylor still on both channels||
What in the goddamn hell?
|2 weeks 1 hour ago||WTF||
TCU/Baylor is on both ABC and ESPN 2 now.
|2 weeks 1 hour ago||The problem is there is till 12 minutes left||
At this rate we will miss the whole first quarter.
|2 weeks 1 hour ago||Once again, it is not blacked out||
Other games are just running way over.
|2 weeks 1 hour ago||Guys, the game is not blacked out||
It is on ESPN 2, the problem is the Baylor/TCU game is still going,
|2 weeks 1 hour ago||TCU/Baylor game going longer than expected||
It is listed on ESPN 2 on my guide (Comcast).
|2 weeks 1 hour ago||Will it switch to the Michigan game?||
Still a full quarter to play in that TCU/Baylor game.
|2 weeks 2 hours ago||Agree in principal||
However, that particular call was bogus to me. Didn't see enough contact either way to warrant a flag, that looked like typical handfighting to me. That could literally be called on every play.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Why pitch hit Perez?||
I really don't understand sending a guy with a grand total of 5 at bats on the season up when your season is hanging in the balance. Don't see how Romine or Suarez aren't better options.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Then that ref is as incompetent as the ones on the field||
and replay booth. Two steps and a dive for the first down, is 100% a catch under college football rules.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Not missing a rule||
It 100% should have been a catch. As somebody said in another thread, the players just can't catch a break. Stuck with shitty coach, and the refs and replay official pile on in that crucial situation.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Is this a serious post?||
Great DC? Maybe we thought that in 2011, but what has Mattison shown the last 3 years to make anybody believe that now. Was it the torching of the secondary tonight by a mediocre QB?
Also newsflash, no QB is going to be effective in the pocket if you can't protect him. The core problem is not the QB position. At this point, having a guy with DG's legs is the only thing keeping some plays alive, it would only get worse with a true pocket passer. DG also made good throws from the pocket tonight, on the rare occasions there was one.
I still fully support this team, the players that is, and that is exactly why a change is needed. They may personally like Hoke, but that is a irrelevant. This staff is doing the players a disservice by not fully developing/utilizing their talent and potential. DG is probally the best example of that, among others.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||DG was not bad tonight||
One bad decision/throw withstanding he played a solid game and his legs were one of the only reason they had a chance at the end. When he had time to throw, he made the throws.
With a better coaching staff and offensive line DG would probally be having a pretty good year. No QB is going to look good behind this offensive line.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||I hate when people do this||
Officials and replay officials have a job to do like anybody else.They don't get a fucking pass because a team deserved it or left themselves vunerable. Yes, we all aware of the shitty job the coaching staff has done and that the pass defense was awful to night, but that doesn't mean a horribly botched call that occured on a crucial drive in a 2 point game shouldn't be talked about.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Did you even watch the play?||
He did not fall to the ground during the catch. He caught it, than clearly took two full steps. The dive (which was not a product of the actual catchl) was after he had already established possession by taking two steps. The two steps and dive are 100% football moves, and that is how that play is routinely called in college football.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||He did make a football move||
He dove and reached out with the ball to get the first down, after taking two steps. That is how it made contact with the ground in the first place.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||It matters to the players||
Regardless of what we think of this shitty coaching staff, the players deserved better on that final drive, than to have it prematurely killed by incompetent officiating from on the field and in the booth.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||No it wasn't||
You are confusing the NFL and college. They do not have the same rules regarding catches, Under college rules, he completed the catch by taking two steps.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Are you confusing the NFL and college?||
The rules are not the same you know. Under college football rules, that is absolutely a catch when the receiver takes two steps and than loses the ball, while going to the ground.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||The difference||
Those PI plays are calls on the field that can't be reviewed after the fact. Not even remotely the same as a play that had a chance to be corrected on review.
Michigan's coaching staff is still shit either way, but they did absolutely get screwed on that critical call. No logical way you can argue otherwise.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||No, rules are different in the NFL and college||
In college, the catch is considered completed after you take a couple of steps or make a move regardless of what happens afterward. He took two full steps afterwards, there is no other way to look at the replay and say otherwise.
The replay guy doesn't even know the fucking rules in college football.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||It wasn't just the refs who blew it||
The replay officials also somehow looked at that and not only didn't overturn it, but somehow said it was confirmed. There is no logical way to look at that replay and not say it was a catch.
Michigan actually executed a play when they needed it for once and got fucked over, plain and simple.
That didn't doesn't mean our coach isn't shit, but that shouldn't be an excuse for refs and replay officials not doing their fucking jobs.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||It is one thing to suck||
Another thing to also get screwed over to boot. Figures the team finally shows some fire and confidence and the incompetent refs and replay officials take it away.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Fucking officials and replay booth||
And than a fucking stupid decision by Hoke to try a 56 yard field goal. Fuck everything
