I mean the scouting report in BC is that they finish at an absurd rate. They haven't got many high quality chances but have pretty much scored on every single one of them. UM hasn't played poorly, but they needed a near perfect game and haven't got it.
Umm they literally had to take a tripping penalty caused by an odd looking mishandle at one point. So yes BC is having some issues with it too. But objectively UM has had more offensive zone possession time.

I mean Duke has the right to that space on the ice just as the BC player does. The BC player literally just ran straight into Duke's skate with his skate, Duke made zero motion to create any contact. That is one of the worst calls I have ever seen in a hockey game point blank.

Though given how the rest of the night went even with PP Caps goaltender would have stoned everything.

Some of McCarty's perceived lack of skill was more a product of his role honestly, at least early in his career. Guy was a high goal scorer in the minors I believe and still flashed that skill at times with the Wings.
