He needs to up his mustache…

He needs to up his mustache game, because Timme's set the bar pretty high.

I don't much about Holmes,…

I don't much about Holmes, but if his career path is any indication (i.e. started out at Enterprise Rental Car, moved on to public relations for the Atlanta Hawks and then the St. Louis Rams, before ending up as the Rams' college scouting director for the last 8 years), he has at least demonstrated a willingness to work hard and do what it takes to achieve his goals.  Let's just hope Sheila Ford Hamp trusts this hire and doesn't meddle too much.

That being said, what's the rationale behind removing Saleh as a potential HC candidate?  Is it because a first time GM needs an experienced HC in place in order to succeed (or, more likely, lower the likelihood of failure)?  Regardless, I say the Lions do the unconventional and treat this as a complete rebuild and hire Saleh, but make it known that he and Holmes will be afforded an extended period of time (say 4-5 years) to get things moving in the right direction.  It's not like we have any superstars who would be against that.

Only during finals week. ;)

Yeah, I honestly don't mind it either. Plus, it's fun to use $ in a sentence that does not involve U.S. currency.

Been to all-inclusives in DR multiple times.  No problems.  I think the poster meant that as long as you don't skimp out on the class of resort you stay at, you'll be fine.

I agree that we need to iron…

I agree that we need to iron out a few (many?) wrinkles that have made themselves evident thus far, but I am also disappointed that I won't have Michigan football to cheer for this weekend.  I just keep telling myself that if we played Wisconsin this weekend, we'd more than likely lose, but with the extra week of prep time, we'll for sure win!  And I also plan to cheer heavily for Indiana and Arizona State.

Jaaron Simmons came a year…

Jaaron Simmons came a year too soon (not like he had a choice).  Would've been nice to have someone like him to help carry the load this year.  Going to be a tough BTT, but hopefully we can stay the course and snag one of the coveted double-byes.

Great win!  Loved how the team really showed some attitude tonight.

In one of his interviews, Crouch states that he's built a repore with Aubrey and that he can see himself playing alongside him.  I was pumped after reading that...not so much anymore.

QB Wow! What an upgrade and what a great start to his Michigan career.
Destiny

While the odds are heavily against, if we truly want to have a chance to control our destiny, we need for PSU (and MSU) to lose and lose often.  Therefore, while it hurts me to type this, I am hoping for an OSU victory this weekend.

LSU

LSU with Alabama a close second.

Kids Club

Despite living up here in East Landfill, and losing my 7 year old daughter to my wife's alma mater (Sparty), I was somehow able to get my 5 year old son to share in my love for UM, my alma mater.  Even though he gets ribbed by his school friends, the kid regularly rocks his Jake Butt replica jersey and Michigan hat without hesitation (you should see the looks he gets from MSU students, it's hilarious).  That said, I just enrolled him in the Kids Go Blue Club, but didn't see anything about club members having access to the field after the game.  Where did you find out about this?  Maybe it's a regular thing, which would explain why it's not heavily advertised.  Any insight would be appreciated.

I'll hang up now and listen.

Mustang

My dad owned a 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 that he let me drive very infrequently.  Amazing car overall, and a real joy to drive, but the thing I remember most is the booming sound eminating from her exhaust pipes.  Magical.

Asiasi

Is that Asiasi on the far right?

Even if we don't have the

Even if we don't have the room to add Corley to our stable of highly regarded receivers, we could always put him back in the secondary.  Kid is a stud athlete.

Apparently, quite a few...at

Apparently, quite a few...at least with regard to the wallet with the football jersey insert.  According to the website, those are sold out.  Crazy.

Fanatics

I bought a customizable Jordan brand replica jersey for my 4 year old son for Christmas and, since his favorite player is Jake Butt, I chose #88 with the name "J BUTTT" on the back.  By adding the "J" along with an extra "T", it created the perfect spacing needed to have "BUTT" centered on the back of the jersey after removing the "J" and the extra "T" (which was easy to do).

Agree

I'm with you on 'Bama.  I'd love to see them play in something other than the tropical like weather they currently enjoy.  I cannot recall any game in which they played in frigid weather (which makes sense since most non-conference games are playing early in the season).

Sticking with a combination Sticking with a combination of short passes and rushes outside the tackles will win us this game. Speight's apparently injured shoulder has made any pass of 10+ yards a crap shoot.
Hilarious response!  Of

Hilarious response!  Of course, it's going to cost me a new keyboard since your reply caused me to spray coffee all over it.  Totally worth it.

Miles of Golf

Visit the fine folks of Miles of Golf.  Seriously, the staff's knowledge about golf clubs, and their ability to get the correct club(s) into the hands of every level of golfer, is second to none.  You won't regret it.

Pretty much right in the

Pretty much right in the backyard of Donovan Peoples-Jones and the rest of our Cass Tech targets!  I like it.

I second that!  So much more

I second that!  So much more enjoyable than the various professional team based video games.

I remember back when I was an

I remember back when I was an undergrad at UM in the early 2000s when the concession stand employees at the Stadium would fill my beverage of choice into a plastic souvenir cup that listed our school's "President's Cup" ranking since its inception.  I recall noticing that we were very rarely outside of the top 5.  Glad to see that we're back!

Welcome!  It's always great

Welcome!  It's always great to grab a commit from a high level recruit at a position of need...but it's even better when the recruit is from our rival's backyard!

I, unequivocally, LOVE having

I, unequivocally, LOVE having a coach like Harbaugh that doesn't mind stirring it up.

Congrats to him!

Congrats to him!

Same Here

That's the exact same thing I thought about when I read the post.  Sad.

Agreed

What a true gem Miles of Golf really is.  I had the good fortune of working there during my junior and senior year of undergrad at Michigan.  Best golf shop (and training facility) in the State of Michigan hands down!

"But absolutely. You’re

"But absolutely. You’re allowed to cross state borders in my America. And bring them to here! To bring them to one of the finest institutions in the world is an exciting thing to do."

Wow, that's some powerful stuff right there.  Not only is he a heckuva football coach, the energy and enthusiasm (unknown to mankind - I know) that he brings each and every day has to be contagious.  No wonder he's having such success on the recruiting trail and on the football field.

While I'm guessing he

While I'm guessing he wouldn't have the unilateral authority to make those decisions that are likely to have a long term effect on the various UConn sports programs (like hiring and firing personnel), I'm guessing he at least has/had some input on this matter.  Crazy world we live in.

Coast to Coast

Harbaugh's recruiting skills are second to none.  I am still surprised at how quickly he (and the rest of his staff) was able to expand our recruiting footprint to pull high level recruits from each of the coasts (and Florida, Tennessee, etc.).  I also like the fact that he did not focus a ton of energy on the midwest during a year in which New Jersey and the standard recruiting hotbeds like California, Florida, Texas, and Georgia had a ton of highly skilled athletes.

Great Story

Great story, thanks for sharing.  It never ceases to amaze me to see and hear how truly special some (most?) of our faculty are here at Michigan.  I firmly believe that more and more athletes will place an emphasis on the student part of "student athlete" when choosing a college, so the fact that we have such special professors on staff should only help the cause...and, of course, HARBAUGH.

Agreed!

Completely agree.  Those updates were crucial to keeping some type of sanity during this 2016 crootin' period.

There aren't enough scantron

There aren't enough scantron bubbles in the world that could handle a name like Oosterbaan Norfleet.

HA!

I just logged in to post the same thing.  Of course he would have a wife that looks like that.  Amazing.

Lower Level Seats

What is the lower level seating capacity for the students?  I have to assume it is at least comparable to the 1200 afforded to the Cameron Crazies...and we all know how loud and imposing Cameron Indoor is on game days.

Two thumbs of Laphroaig Two thumbs of Laphroaig (neat) to start, followed by many bottles of Russian River Blind Pig. Should be a solid night.
Perfect!

Perfect idea.  Seeing as those who are closely affiliated with a Harbaugh led program tend to move on to "better" jobs at a pretty rapid pace, we could do this year in and year out without fear of having too many coordinators and coaches.

Congrats!

Huge accomplishment for him.  It looks like we've found our future defensive captain to go along with our likely offensive captain (Peters).  The future is bright...GO BLUE!

Other Pay

RichRod receives $360,000 in "other pay"?  That's more than two times what the next closest coach receives.  What gives?

Great points. Let's also not Great points. Let's also not forget the loss of coverage on MSU's fullback resulting in the longest pass play of the game (and cutting the 9 point lead down to 2).
Assembly Hall

UM/IU hoops at Assembly Hall.  Lower bowl tickets, under the overhang, made it impossible to see the scoreboard or, honestly, anything above the rim.  Plus, the IU faithful are a pretty "interesting" bunch.
