#SPARTANBOB

Blue Moon

plus the UFC Fights.... not a bad way to spend a Saturday night

must be a slow day

on the blog today.

and the answer to your question: HELL NO!

Marcus Knight

is the new Wide Receivers Coach at Northern Michigan University. He just took the job not even 2 weeks ago.

robert smith

picks Michigan and give us a "2" in confidence points. I am pretty sure that is also Smith's IQ.

my favorite stat of the night

315 yds- what the 2010 version of Michigan's defense gave up to Illinois

37yds- what the 2011 version of Michigan's defense gave up to Illinois

Go Blue

it's not always how you start....

its how you finish.

Michigan and Nebraska both did the same thing tonight.

Poor first halfs, great second halfs.

6-0 for the Maize and Blue!

BRING ON LITTLE BROTHER!!!!!

Let's recap the day

Michigan Wins

Michigan State Loses

Ohio State Loses

That's a pretty good Saturday in my book.

i am rooting for

injuries.

ND 31 MSU 28

score doesn't matter

as long as Michigan has more points up on both the HD scoreboards than ND does at the end of the night.

JUST WIN BABY

Ericsson

isn't worth that price tag. However, I WILL NOT QUESTION KEN HOLLAND. THE MAN IS THE GOD among General Manger's in all of sports. Lets hope that Ericsson lives up to his 3.25 million per/year the next 3 seasons.

it would

have been hard to see him hang it up his skates the way he played last season. Plus having Nick back 1 more season makes it a little easier to transition w/o Rafalski. It will be nice to watch the Red Wings give the Cup one more shot to get one for Lidstrom.

as long as

they don't ask RR to analyze the defensive playing ability of any team at halftime he will be alright.

this is all

just fantastic- watching the Buckeyes fall apart a little more each and every day. Can't wait til August 12th!

The Red Wings can't go wrong

The Red Wings can't go wrong signing Weber to an offer sheet- If they offer him 6.5-7 per season- the Predators have to match that- which will destroy their cap space. If Detroit signs him- they have their post Nick Lidstrom D-man.

I am gonna miss Rafalski though- his clutch PP shooting from the point- all around good-guy and great player for the Red Wings.

the game tonight

is on Fox Sports Detroit; it will be blacked out on Versus- I personally like watching the game on FSD because Ken Daniels is the best play-by-play man in hockey today.

Detroit and San Jose are nearly identicial teams minus their team colors. They both can rol4 lines, strong and skilled offensive forwards, consistent defensive players and decent special teams.

I believe that the difference in this series will come down between the pipes. Jimmy Howard has been solid in net for the Wings through the first four playoff games. Sharks goaltender Anti Niemi has been very inconsistent for San Jose. He has been pulled twice in six games by an LA offense that was missing their best player. As long as Howard remains consistent between the pipes for Detroit, RED WINGS WIN IN SIX.

blackout mode this evening

Bring on

Bring on the Muppets Brian!!!!

that pretty much

made my day....that and thinking about Gus Johnson doing the play-by-play of one of Michigan's football games and the nicknames and sayings he could come up with for Denard!

just think

about next years class, when Hoke and his staff have a whole year to recruit kids....top 10 here we come!!!

that was

a very fun game to attend this afternoon. It was a shooting gallery for the Wolverines from the 3 point arc; and Darius Morris impresses me more and more each and every game the way he runs that offense. If this team can continue to shoot the ball well down the stretch they could make things interesting in the Big Ten race.

Kuester

should have never been hired- period.

Cam Newton

talked about no one betting their last dollar on Auburn at the beginning of the season...I am just wondering if his dad did bet one of his last dollars from Mississippi State....

Both Davis and Jones

are not your ideal owners whatsoever- that's what always makes their teams terrible. Jones and Davis always have to be involved in every facet of the team- who they draft, sign, trade, etc... they pick who they like and who they think their fans may like- and that is not the way you do things. If Davis or Jones want to see their teams win, they need to step aside, hire a GM/President of Operations and let them do their thing.

ozzie

played out of his mind tonight- so happy that he finally got to #400- he may be the most underappreciated goalie in the history of the NHL.

that just sucks

for Luck- having to play for a new coach next season.....what a bummer.....

I think that

people are just sick of the losing...who isn't? 15-21 in three seasons isn't getting the job done anywhere. He hasn't beaten MSU. He hasn't beaten Ohio State either (to be fair, Lloyd Carr lost his final 4 games against the Buckeyes). I love the Wolverines as much as the next person, but how much longer can we afford mediocrity? We are not a viable Big Ten team right now and with Nebraska coming into the Big Ten next season, it just makes it that much harder.

I am just glad I am not Dave Brandon, because he has a tough decision to make; and when he makes his decision may be the hardest part of it all.

if he

pays for yours, he is paying for mine too

the first two games

went in our favor- as they should.... let's just hope when we play teams like Kansas, Sparty, Illinois, etc. that we stay competitive... we got a very, very young team and all you can do is hope for the best.

President

George W. Bush

UCONN WINS

and Bill Stewart Loses....

Thank you UCONN

this game

just proves that the Big East is WEAK....all the 3 and outs, dropped passes, and penalties by both teams is driving me nuts...I am not gonna lie- this is tough to watch....

still

its hard to repliciate the real thing- they will see the real thing run and throw wild on them on Saturday night!

GO BLUE!

What kills the Lions the most

is not coaching decisions, not being healthy- it is penalties. Game after game after game- Avril should be benched for the game- we had the Giants stopped for a FG attempt- instead- Avril takes an unsportsmanlike conduct...unbelievable....

i was there

yesterday...and the officials took forever to figure out what the call was, who it was on; in addition they picked up 3-4 flags during the game...

I wonder what conference they officiate for....because they were god awful- I am guessing the Big East

feel bad for

Marve- he had to sit out after he was at Miami (THE U), plus Marve had a prior ACL injury....

and a loss to Toledo makes it even worse.....

Boy I can't wait for November 13th to beat them down in all phases of the game... and I will enjoy all 60 minutes of that game

that may be

excuse me....

THAT IS

the best video I have ever seen....

that is

if he has a tv at all....

i am thinking

how nice our backfield would look with Shoelace and Hart back there at the same time.....

now that would be fun to watch!

my bad ladies and gents

I changed it......

I didn't see the damon/inge waiver wire thing earlier.....

but why not change it to something that makes everyone happy??? SEPTEMBER 4TH!!!!!

this

couldn't happen to a more prepared player. I just got done earlier today reading a UofM preseason article and Woolfork was mentioned in it a few times....as well as a quote from him. He was going to be the leader for our D this season.....i know this sucks and I can't really find a positive to the whole situation besides this- maybe we can rally our D now around Woolfork and someone can step up and fill in his shoes as best as they can. I am hoping now for a freshman phenom to emerge at defensive back...and a 9-3 season.

either way

if he stays with the buckeyes or goes pro-

he will still get paid to play.

I am so pumped

about Modano coming back to Michigan to play for his hometown team. He will most likely center our third line- which is fine by me. There is no pressure on him at all- he can just come in, play a season, win a cup :), and retire.

Here's a link from a real Detroit newspaper/

No doubt in

my mind at all that losing Maggs is indeed a very, very big blow to our postseason chances.

I think Strieby is the best choice here- let's hope that Strieby can bring a bat like Boesch did..... a man can dream.......

spartan stadium

is indeed a craphole- nothing even close to resembling the BIG HOUSE. The only good memory I can pull from Spartan Stadium is this past September when my Central Michigan Chippewas took out the Spartans 29-27 on a last second field goal to win the game. What a great game that was to see the Chippewas (now my alma mater) storm the field at the end of the game was a moment I will never forget.

FIRE UP CHIPS AND GO BLUE!!!!

I love your idea

of giving the three Heisman winners there own statue inside the Big House Gates. That will just add to the overall stunning appearance of the greatest athletic playing field in the history of sports.

I was at Comerica

Last night and watch Porcello pitch. He got roughed up a bit in the third but then in the fifth and sixth innnings he left the ball up in the zone which cost him. He'll be back- he's only 21 years old- still learning how to pitch in the big leagues. I have all the faith in the world that the Mudhens can get him going again!!

Algeria

has yet to score a goal in the tournament- I believe as long as the US team comes out and dictates the pace of the game early (meaning scoring first and not giving up an early goal) we should be fine.

Thanks so much for posting this- big help!

That's Exactly Why

I do not read the Freep anymore.... no sense at all.....

this is

the best news I have heard all day-  3 more years of solid Meeeeechigan Hockey!!!
