If you are using the HD app please let me know and I will help you troubleshoot. As far as I know there should be no issues accessing MGoBlog via the HD app.
You can't post new threads from the HD app because 1. There's no way for me to build this feature without spamming the message board with new posts. 2. You probably aren't creating high-quality posts from your phone in the first place.
This is of course the #1 feature I've wanted to implement, but unfortunately it will not be possible as MGoBlog's servers don't provide a mechanism for mobile to hook into voting.
This is a backend issue that's very unlikely to have a workaround on mobile. The more points you have though the less chance your comment will trigger the spam blocker.
You'll need to update MGoBlog HD to version 1.4 to get connected again. Please note that the App Store propagates updates over several hours, so you may not get access to this version until the end of today.
Working on a client-side fix for MGoBlog HD while the backend is broken, will submit an expedited App Store review hopefully by tomorrow which will restore service.
This is a backend issue where it's rejecting requests from iPhones, both MGoBlog classic and HD apps. Unfortunately nothing I can do to fix this from the client-side.
I'm aware of the issue and am working on a fix for iOS 10 users in the next update. In the interim you may fix push by deleting/reinstalling the app and then making sure push notifcations for MGoBlog HD are turned on in the phone's system settings (note - this is not the same as the the settings in the app).
Apologies as this is not possible, the App Store is quite limited in this regard. In order to make necessary improvements for iOS 10, I had to end support for older iOS versions 7 & 8. It's no longer feasible for me to support these while continuing developement of new features, as I'm a solo developer without access to older devices and their usage represented < 1% of traffic.
This is a known issue. In the meantime you can rotate the iPad to landscape mode or use a slide gesture in the upper left.
PSA: please keep your iOS apps updated via the App Store. A lot of people are using extremely out-of-date versions that are missing many features and fixes. Also, have your pet spayed or neutered.
Thanks for the feedback. The HD app actually uses less data than the desktop site or other app does, based on tracking network calls.
However, loading all the GIFs that people post is necessarily bandwidth intensive. I'll look into a settings option to only load GIFs when clicked if you're on cellular.
I have submitted a new build that allows for changing the font size on posts, increases the contrast to make comments easier to read, and fixes many of the bugs reported by everyone here and through the app -- should land on the app store sometime next week.
Apple broke something in iOS 8 beta 5, waiting to see if future betas revert the change. Let me know if you find anything else. I do plan to have everything fully working at iOS 8 public launch, and some iOS 8-only features.
Hey everyone, glad you're all enjoying the new app.
Like a lot of you I was frustrated with the current app and thought MGoBlog needed something better. I have a lot of new features planned including up/down voting and offline mode. I'd really appreciate your feedback too so I can make the app better, which you can always send through the settings menu.
Hi, thanks for the feedback. I am working on up/down voting from the new app and hope to get it released soon, I just need a little cooperation from Brian and Co.

Go to Settings > Notifications > MGoBlog HD and turn on all of the toggles you see.

This should be fixed in the upcoming release. I believe MGoBlog has some issues with being logged in multiple places at once.

Please keep the feedback coming, thanks.
Is this something that's possible from the other app? I've never had enough points to try.
Your kind words are more than enough, thanks!
