Dear Brett Favre,
Please stay retired this time. We are sick of your shit.

This is a great idea, but as a female who has been watching football since she was 6, I get really annoyed when I watch the game with other females or *gasp* other non-football following males and they ask questions about it. I usually just want them to shut the hell up so I can pay attention to the game. Its probably why I end up watching the games by myself a lot...

No. There is no re-entry once you leave the Stadium concourse and leave through the gates.

Because all of my friends are married or in serious relationships with people in contrast to my serious relationship with MGoBlog.

Sure, but only if you can deal with me throwing shit at the TV when Michigan loses, dropping the F-Bomb a lot during the game and drinking a case of beer and passing out afterwards.

I'm with you, I feel like more of a dude than these MGoSissies. Haha.

You're probably more of a girl than myself and my closet looks like the last call section of Neiman Marcus.

I would say yes if my boyfriend proposed to me with this ring. But then again my dream is to have blue bridesmaids dresses, with yellow ribbons and to get married at Michigan Stadium....

I actually live in Grand Haven and I would suggest Clover Bar pizza over Fricanos. If you want some good sushi the Grand Seafood Restaurant is really good--the best you will find along the Lakeshore at least without going to some pricey place in Grand Rapids. Butches is a must, as most of my classmates in High School were "sick" the day Butches opened in the spring every year. Rays is good, but not as good as it used to be since Tip A Few bought it out, but you should definitely have one of the milkshakes. If you want to go to a bar, I would suggest Kirby or K2 (the upper part of Kirby), or if you don't mind driving Old Boys Brewhouse is really great (and I'm biased because my cousin is a manager there). Old Boys is a bit pricey for food, but they make their own beer and its pretty strong, so well worth the money. I also agree with whoever mentioned JWs--they have fantastic food and they've been around along time. Best beef stroganoff I've ever had.
If your kids are little, there is a park down by where the farmers market-and sometimes I still go there (yes, at age 23) just to relax. You should walk the pier from Shinook Pier to the lighthouse (something you could do with your wife). If you and your family decide to go to the beach and its a warm day, make sure you get down there at about 9am to get a good spot on the beach, otherwise you won't find parking at the state park and it will be packed. Don't leave Grand Haven without a Pronto Pup either. Washington st. has some cool stores--Floto's is an interesting store where you can find some really cool souveniers. Mackinaw Kite Company and Michigan Rag are also notables
I honestly feel that there isn't a WHOLE lot to do in my town, but thats because I've "been there done that" for so long. A day trip is usually sufficient to see everything that our town has to offer, but if you do want to venture out, the Muskegon Drive In and Michigan's Adventure are fun to go to. Hope you and the family have a great time!

Is this a vote for more education funding in this country so kids like Jones get what they need? It would surely help in Michigan's recruiting. Haha.
|6 years 32 weeks ago||Seconded||
I also got in. In state, with a 23. Graduated with Honors. Test scores aren't the end all be all to success at UM.

I've had that same sense of regret--especially since he went to the Super Bowl. Damnit.
|6 years 35 weeks ago||Confessions||
1. I'm a girl and I would rather sit and watch 12 hours of football and hang out with guys everyday instead of go shopping, get pedicures, or read Cosmo because my girl friends don't know or care about sports.
2. One of my students last year was an OSU fan and wore his OSU sweatshirt weekly to class. Everyday he wore it, I kept him outside the classroom the entire period until he agreed to take it off. I even locked the door so he couldn't come in.
3. I cried after we lost to MSU this year because my boyfriend goes there and I talked so much shit before the game.
4. I got live updates on my cell-phone during said MSU game this year during a Catholic wedding ceremony for one of my best friends. I sat in the pew behind the bridesmaids.
5. My aunt went to Notre Dame and it was the first school I ever visited. Notre Dame gear was the first college apparel I ever owned. I was upset that I didn't have the grades to go to college there (but I went to U of M instead).
6. I hate everything U of Florida, but I think that Tim Tebow is quite possibly one of the sexiest men to ever walk the Earth.
7. I've been a Lions fan for 20 years even though they never cease to disappoint me.
8. I love the Yankees.
9. LaMarr Woodley asked me out and I said "no".

Kevin Cislo, former captain of our baseball team, happens to be one of my good friends. Sad he blew his shoulder out, I was totally counting on some box seats to whatever team he plays for. Now I just get to watch him coach high school baseball and football....
Really great guy though. I'm female, and I stay away from baseball players because they're generally assholes (this coming from my cousin who played college baseball as well...and is in fact, an asshole). KC is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He was in the School of Education with me and we used to sit and make inappropriate comments about our students...

If you rent from anywhere/anyone, make sure their lease isn't written by Zaki at Michigan Rental. My roomates and I got screwed royally from him. He's a horrible moronic man.
|6 years 47 weeks ago||They don't care||
If anyone reads the Muskegon Chronicle, it is just as bad as the FREEP. My cousins murder was written about in the Chronicle, and the only thing truthful they wrote was that she was murdered by her boyfriend, so we called them on their lies. They did not apologize, even though nothing they wrote had any truth whatsoever. They sensationalize stories to sell papers, and do not care about who gets effected.
