My god I hope they do one after 8/1/16. And the last scene is Harbaugh walking up out of the shadows to blow the whistle.

Amen, there is a difference between making evaluations of a commits game, and straight up saying he isn't good enough to have a Michigan offer.

This is actually a very good title imo. Buckle up is a standard phrase on this board meaning that a current target may be ready to commit to our beloved football program. Normally, these thread titles end there, which is very click baity, but not to the point that it pisses people of the board off.
Alas, the OP decided to include the name of the person in the title. Which is pretty informative.

Insecurity is a hell of thing. My first post stated that I wish I had known what I do now back then. I didn't think I needed to repeat that. So yeah I agree with you. I wish I wouldn't have had that mentality. My experiences were always in a relationship, lead to a relationship, or initiated by the other party. I'm glad my insecurity never lead to a sketchy situation, but I can definitely see how it could have. The unwillingness or fear to speak up and ask. Overreliance on context clues. That could potentially lead to something bad.

All I know is that Willie Henry is going to make one team, their fansbase, coach and GM, very happy.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||I don't think you know what||
I don't think you know what you're talking about. Quinn has come out publicly stating that Center was one of their worst positions last season and Swanson just isn't good enough for this team.
There is more than one way to aquire players. And defense is well below the offense in terms of fault here in Detroit. And you have to know that this team needs more than 1 draft to turn it around. Take what you can when you can, patch over the rest for the next year, and get the rest in years 2 and 3.
|3 weeks 6 days ago||I can agree there. When I was||
I can agree there. When I was in my late teens, I wasn't really in a position where I could afford to ruin the mood with an "are you sure?" Luckily I can say everything was on the up and up.
But I could see how two drunk college students having fun could turn into regret the next morning. I don't think that should turn into rape/sexual assault the next morning. And your points about context clues is a great one. Not to oversimplify things, or compare the severity of these two things, but it is almost like a catch in football. A catch is a catch when you see one, but the rule is written in a certain way, and so over defined that you can't even get it right on slow motion reviews half the time.
|3 weeks 6 days ago||I was never even flat-out||
This quote stuck out to me. I mean, I wasn't either. I filed rape under "treating women with respect" which was always my moms message to me. But better understanding that rape/sexual assault is more than having sex with a girl as she cries no as your 3-toothed buddy Jim-Bob holds her down while he is laughing*. I wish I knew what I know now 5 years ago, and talking about it like this is a great way for 15-21 year olds to learn these lessons before it's too late.
*sadly, Hollywood seems to only think of rape this way. Sure, South Park isn't probably the best example to use, but the imagery the used to express the "raping" of Lucas and Speilbergs most precious characters literally reduced George Lucas to 2 teeth.

|4 weeks 10 hours ago||Wow, Americans care more||
Wow, Americans care more about Americans dying then English soccer fans. Color me shocked!
At the end of the day, the news is a ratings business. News programs are going to show what people want to tune in for. And what are you talking about "within months"? No damn story runs for months on end outside of the OJ case or the fallout from 911. How in the hell are you supposed to expect people half a world away to care about fans of whatever the heck a liver pool* is and whether they are being unjustly blamed for deaths at a soccer game?
*most Americans could give less about soccer, and even less about English soccer.

|4 weeks 2 days ago||It was my understanding that||
It was my understanding that Liverpool fans were supposed to sit on the opposite side of the stadium, but when they opened the exit up for entry, many fans rushed straight in and into the first opening they saw. Maybe it has been too long since I read up on it, or am mis-recalling. But didn't supporters of both teams die that day?
And sorry for the confusion. I think it's sad the blame was placed soley on the fans, and even sadder it was placed on only one group of fans.
Yeah... "to blame" should have just been "blamed." Total brain fart.

Not only were the fans to blame, but the Liverpool fans in particular. Even though fans from both teams ended up in the pits that fateful day. Sadly, Liverpool is still mocked for this tragedy...

That's a leak to a CBS Detroit article on the tweets. In case the board wanted to see the tweets themselves.
I for one, would be estatic to bring an MLS team to (back to? didn't we have one in the 90s?) Detroit. Soccer fandom is unlike any other in my opinion. You get drunk and support your guys not matter what. Singing songs and rocking houses. Plus the MLS has a lot of USMNT talent in it right now. Would be great to be able to see those guys play in Detroit more often. Even if not all at once!

Noon games are great when we play MAC or MAC level B1G teams. Just lets whoop that butt and let me get on with my day. Which is like most of our schedule btw. 3:30 is fine for big games. I still don't like waiting that much. And Night games, while great at atmosphere, are just too damn long to wait for. Like seriously, I get too drunk waiting. And I just want that game to start already!
