I just don't feel comfortable giving out the number one to a freshman. You never know if that player will turn out to have issues like Stonum, or transfer like McGuffie.

In the span of my Michigan fandom, which luckily started in 1997, I have been lucky that we haven't had any duds get the number one. I just wouldn't want to give it out to someone and have that player fall short of expectations. IMO it would take away from the luster.

But against the run & running QBs, the SDE sets the edge. You need someone to contain, play smart and let the linebackers come clean up in that scenario. Let the WDE & Rush LBs get all the pass rush. SDE is where you don't want mistakes.

Roh may have been a poor man's RVB, but not by much. And if you can get someone who is a step below RVB, I don't think you can complain. Not every DE is going to be Clowney, and we still have a chance at two studs outside of Marshall for this class.

Best Environment has to be the student section, but I will never forget seeing Braylon catch his 2nd and 3rd career touchdowns against Western. I believe he was wearing number 80(?) that year and instantly became my favorite player on the team. I was really happy for him when they gave him the number 1 jersey (being 13 at the time, I didn't truely understand the importance, I did know it was a big deal).

I was watching the unveiling last night, and they were going through Barry highlights and an announcer stated,

"When God created Barry Sanders, even he didn't know what he made."

I thought that was the best decription of a player I have ever heard. Barry was something special, and while he may have retired before he could officially go down as the best ever, in my heart he always will be.

Jags numbers & names font is gross. I don't see the fascination in going away from the norm with the numbers and names. 

The accents in the Dolphins jerseys are too subtle in my mind.Either be plain, or go bold. None of this in between junk that might be cool a foot away from the jersey. When you have accents on something that cannot be seen 10 feet away, then why did you put them there in the first place?

Like you said, he is coming off an injury, so they probably didn't want to push the issue in the spring. Let him get reps and get his confidence up while he regains whatever he lost due to injury.

Other reasons as to why he may be getting penciled in would have to do with Craig Roh's high praise for him, and how huge this dude got. I believe they referred to Wormley as the next stage in human evolution or something.

Whether he starts or not, it would be because somebody shows up even better, in which case, its a win win for us.

Valenti said it best on twitter yesterday. Michigan and Louisville are just playing on another level than everyone else. It isn't if we do this, we win, if we don't do that, we lose. This team is on a special kind of run. I don't see the 'Cuse being able to stop it.

No one thought we would crush VCU, no one thought we would come back and beat Kansas, no one thought we would get a 25 point lead over Florida in the first half, and sustain it for the entirety of the game. This team is amazing. I just don't see it ending before Trey Burke says so at this point.

When I see that picture of Withey, I can't help think that is his mean face right before he started crying. Like a kid who is trying to act tough then just breaks down in tears.

Whoa whoa whoa. The kid runs track too. God knows what other sports. For all we know they don't have the facilities/programs in Colorado to do Football year round. Get off his back. I don't think Hoke would offer a "lazy kid" a scholarship, and if he stepped foot on campus, the coaches wouldn't let that trend continue if it was true. Look at BWC. He was worthless till Hoke stepped on campus.

However in the world that we got a point last night is beyond me. It is only a 1 point swing in terms of if we lost or tied, but I think it will help us much more on a confidence level than it does in our standings.

I like the idea of a little Toronto - UofM hockey rivalry. Mix that with the Red Wings - Leafs divisional rivalry that will be reignited after the NHL realignment. It might actually start a war.

But we all know the only thing that matters in realignment is football, and this one just doesn't make sense...

Basically, he is saying the AD's won't take the pay cut. If it comes down to paying football/basketball student athletes, and the money comes from either their pocket or smaller, non-revenue pumping sports, the AD's would cut softball faster than you can say, well just about anything.

Paying student athletes is not a stupid idea. But the greed of the people who make way more money than they have the right to will cause this to come at a cost that is not necessary.

ALL OF THE NFL TEAMS!! (who have already secured first round byes...)

I am a newcomer in terms of following M BBall. I watched few seldomly in 2005, and skipped a few years. Came back to the team in 2008 for a few games. 2009 I probably saw ~75% of the games, and then in 2010, I moved into a house with one of the most obnoxious college basketball fans ever. I swear, every day I woke up to this kid walking in from class screaming "HE'S A SHOOTER!" like Dick Vitale.

Since then I haven't missed a game, and am shocked by how this team has just turned it around. We have gone from barely making the tourney, to surprise Big Ten Champs, to a team that I expected to win the Big Ten, in a matter of a few years. I am really proud of these players and this staff for turning Michigan into a program we can all be proud to call ourselves fans of.

Now neg away for me being pretty much a bandwagon fan I guess.

My buddy always looks at bleacher report, and acts like he is doing me a favor every time he reports something to me. So I was bored, check out the site a couple times the first week. It took me about 3 days to figure out that it was complete garbage.

But I was fixing for some Michigan football news. I didn't know where to look. Googled "Michigan Football Blogs," this one seemed legitimate. So I kept coming back around a few days, made an account and have been addicted ever since. It took me forever to get the inside jokes, and I think for the first 2 months, I never got a comment up-voted. It was a proud moment when someone actually agreed with what I was saying on here.
