Didn't seem to bother Michael Didn't seem to bother Michael Phelps much.
Speaking as a OEF vet, it's Speaking as a OEF vet, it's cool when teams try show support for the troops, but they can scale it back a bit. It gets a bit played out when every week some school is rocking camo or something like this. They need to pick a weekend were all schools, if they do one, rock some patriotic uniform. Not saying it isn't appreciated, just maybe scale it back a touch.
Wasn't there a poster type Wasn't there a poster type thing up when we were recruiting Green? Said something along the lines of "the future of Michigan football" if I recall. Not sure how this is much different. Not trying to be sarcastic or dickish. Just curious what the difference is.

Michigan, Tenesse,  Auburn

Michigan, Tenesse,  Auburn and Florida State. He said He eliminated Florida State but they will still visit him. Hoke will be doing the in home for Michigan.

As long as they keep our

As long as they keep our class at #1 they are.

I'm subscribed to Rivals, 247

I'm subscribed to Rivals, 247 and Scout right now. They don't really give you anything you can't get here. They break info before it shows up on here, but only by a hour or two it seems. I got all three because I'm in Afghanistan and have a lot of down time to kill. Once I get back to the states I will cancel all three and stick to MGOBLOG. FWIW I would rank them Scout, Rivals then 247. Thats based on the boards and mods. Scout and Rivals are close, 247 lags way behind imo.

Yea got the names mixed up

Yea got the names mixed up meant to say Nick. Thanks for pointing that out fixed it in the title.

His brother was a walk on at

His brother was a walk on at ND who played against Michigan. Nate was recruited by several big programs out of high school acording to rivals. Ohio while tressel was there, Bama and a couple others.

I don't think it seems likley

I don't think it seems likley either. However Michigan really stands out compared to the other schools he mentions.

Krenzel wanted to come to

Krenzel wanted to come to Michigan but his spot was taken by Drew Henson. I've met Krenzel, real nice guy. One of the few ohio players I don't hate.

Where did you hear this? I

Where did you hear this? I haven't seen anything indicating it was the coaches intiated the split. Seems odd they would change there mind on a talent like him after this long.

Really hope he is right about

Really hope he is right about Green and Treadwell. That would be such a gorgeous close out to an already great class.

HS season, state playoffs are

HS season, state playoffs are the reason he's pushing back the visits.

I think not attending games

I think not attending games on his visits helps our cause too.

5*? I'm pretty sure he was a 3* to rivals.

Did Vincent Smith lose 8 lbs?

Did Vincent Smith lose 8 lbs? I thought he was 180 last year, maybe he's gotten quicker.

Second this

I was there during the Lefevor years, some good drunk times at Kelly-Shorts.

That's terrible I hope they

That's terrible I hope they both recover fully. If they both would have signed with us the melt down around these parts would be unprecedented.

So did I, I also got a

So did I, I also got a concussion my senior year. At the time the Riddell Revo's had just come oout and we only had about 10 for team.

Suh was a starter both

Suh was a starter both seasons. Prince was a freshman nickleback in 2007 also, got cut off my chart for some reason. Suh is a very rare talent, but you could argue Mike Martin is at least comparable. I don't think think it's out of the relm of possibility that Avery could make a prince like impact, who also went from frosh to soph in this comparison. I don't see how you can say, they had growth and improvment, we have no chance at that. Growth and improvement under a established defensive coach, a year after having a coach with no clue how to run a defense, was the whole point of this post.

Why are the hockey jerseys

Why are the hockey jerseys made by reebok and not adidas?

It says in the Michigan

It says in the Michigan preview we return all 5 OL, guess they didn't notice Schilling got drafted. They say at one point RB Denard Robinson. Also they say a 3rd straight loss to sparty can't happen. I guess they just kinda throw these things together huh. I did like the optimism for us though.

Obi Ezeh started as a RS

Hayes = Bush, so I hope.

Hayes = Bush, so I hope. Well on the field, minus the scandels.

I just got out of bootcamp so sorry this has probablybeen discussed but did Tate end up at Miami?

Off topic but

Did Devin Gardner ever get a rs? I see he's listed as a soph and that would suck balls if he lost a year over a few series.

I'm curious about something,

I'm curious about something, what happend to the "gentlemans agreement" about not poaching recruits from B1G schools? I remember RR getting some backlash for this but haven't heard any complaints about Hoke doing it, not that I mind him doing it just curious. Also, how does the illini have 27 commits, I thought there was a B1G rule about only 25 to a class.

Yes from what I've read he's

Yes from what I've read he's coaching th QB's.

So before he steps foot on

So before he steps foot on campus he has already made more FG's in the Big House then either of our kickers have?

I've seen rumors of Ricardo

I've seen rumors of Ricardo Miller moving to TE, that should help a little. I agree though a TE and a QB are musts in this class IMO, even if they are "projects".

As for age I seldom agree

As for age I seldom agree with the old timers, I hate the Michigan man meme and was excited when RR was hired. I agree 100% that RR had every thing going against him right out of the gate, but that would have gone away quick if he had been winning. Gene Chizik was met at the airport by Auburn fans telling him they didn't want him and talking shit, I doubt you will find one Auburn fan now who doesn't love him. We all knew the RR transition would take some time, but if he would have brought his system in a little more gradually we could have been 6-6 minimum his first year. I know we were young and he didn't have his type of players, but we still should have won the Toledo, Northwestern and Purdue game that year. Starting 6-6 would have led to alot less turmoil then 3-9 did.

Denard has to stay at QB all

Denard has to stay at QB all other options are foolish imo. I havent been a big fan of Tates antics at time, but if he can play we need him on the team for depth if nothing else. The idea of going into a season with 2 scholarship QBs is scary at best. We really need to pull a QB in this class too, even if just a project QB who has a minimal chance of ever seeing the field.

I think other then the spread

I think other then the spread option, it's the best offense for his skill set. Mobility has always been a huge plus in this system. The rollouts that are common place in a WC offense suit him well, get him out of the pocket and attack the line of scrimige, the threat of him taking off will open huge passing windows.

I am 23 and I love the hire.

I am 23 and I love the hire. How can you say Hoke will keep us from ever being great? He hasn't coached a game yet. When Lloyd Carr was hired would you say he was going to ever keep us from being great because he was never even a HC, or looked at as a long term awnser. Before you say we were always really good before Carr but never great, He won us our only NC since the forward pass was invented, had us in the Big Ten title hunt almost every year including winning quite a few. RR's best season was worse then Carr worse season so I don't wanna hear how we were on our way to winning a bunch of NC. And the he needed to get his guys here argument, I don't wanna hear it. Saban, Meyer, Chizik, Tressel, and Miles won the NC within the first 3 years of taking over.

That was my favorite part of

That was my favorite part of this post, Brian has grit.

Scott L was the qb coach the

Scott L was the qb coach the last two years at Florida, so he was there for Tebows senior year. don't know how much of his success we can really give to scotty though. Floridas QB situation was a three headed circus this year, but he did work with two running QBs this season fwiw.

As long as there is a ton of

As long as there is a ton of rolling Denard out, I think the offense will be great.

Speaking of hokey pokey, I

Speaking of hokey pokey, I loved when the BTN was talking to Hoke at halftime you could hear the hokey pokey being played over the pa.

He got drafted by Columbus

He got drafted by Columbus

Edit: yea I'm a dumbass late to the party

I went to HS with Justin and

I went to HS with Justin and hope the best for him. He was a hell of a FG kicker too it's a damn shame the soccer coach wouldn't let him kick for Michigan this year.

Or maybe DB did a good job

Or maybe DB did a good job and Brady Hoke was a great hire? I know thats not a popular opinion but it's what I'm going to roll with until proven otherwise.
