| 1 year 31 weeks ago | Vincent Smith has been |
Vincent Smith has been running the ball up the middle all year. What is the difference in this case? If you asked Vincent I'm sure he won't say it was RR fault for giving him the ball up the middle against the big bad Iowa defense. RR is the one at practice and knows what his players can do. At this point I am sure he trusts Vincent Smith more than Hopkins when it comes to ball security and unfortunately Vincent didn't make the play. Maybe you should rip the O-line for not blocking the guy. Poor execution and Iowa made a better play. |

So you don't blame the player that made the mistake? It must be the coaches fault that a running back didn't hold on to the football and the quarterback didn't make the correct read and threw an interception. |
| 1 year 31 weeks ago | Punting was the right call |
I couldn't believe the number of people complaining about him punting before the half on fourth and four. It was the right call. If they are stopped, Iowa would of had the ball at the 50 yard line with 45 seconds and a chance to go up 28-7. Imagine the whining if that would have happened. |
| 2 years 4 weeks ago | Good analysis |
I agree with your analysis as I was also there after the spring game. It appeared they only had 2 servers and one bartender working. I was expecting a lot more from the place. |
| 2 years 6 weeks ago | Be patient when scalping |
I was at Penn State in 2006 (Night game, white out, amazing atmosphere) and I scalped 3 tickets for face value 3 hours before kickoff with a lot of tickets floating around. You will want to get to the game super early because traffic is aweful with the sea of RV's. Another tip, wear neutral colors if you are going to scalp. PSU or OSU fans more than likely won't sell to Michigan fans. The guy I bought my tickets from was a little peeved when he found out he sold his tickets to Michigan fans. All of the other season ticket holders were giving him crap because of it. |

Old Mitch's was one of the best. Especially with dollar pitchers on Monday and Wednesday. I remember the line wrapping around the building. |

Not sure if anyone has seen this but Andy Staples wrote a column on the players selected in the first round of the 2009 draft. He breaks down how they were rated by rivals. |
| 2 years 26 weeks ago | Stadium sounded like more than 5000 Bucknuts |
Another reason for the number of OSU fans in attendance is the close proximity to the Ohio border and the large number of OSU fans in Northwest Ohio. Compared to a Michigan fan that has a minimum 3 hour drive to Columbus to get treated like crap for 4 hours on a saturday afternoon. This post explains the number of red visible in the high dollar seats between the 10 yard lines especially on the East side of the stadium. Don't believe for one second that their weren't any Michigan season tickets holders that sold tickets to Buckeyes. The number of OSU fans reminded me of how Sparty buys all of the upper bowl tickets and takes over Crisler. It was sickening especially during the O-H-I-O chant. The band needed to do something or atleast play music over the loud speakers to drown them out. |
| 2 years 28 weeks ago | Hey fur coat crowd |
why leave the game with 5 minutes left? YOU fans that left are pathetic. Its amazing to me the number of people that sit on their hands all game long and don't cheer. With that said people need to relax. I feel that this is the season that as Michigan fans we expected last year and are one year behind schedule as many people have suggested. This so not college basketball where underclassmen can lead a team to a championship. You cannot expect this many freshman and sophomores to carry your football team and expect to have great success. G-ROB has only been on campus for 10 months and needs time to develop players. It doesn't happen overnight. If what I have been reading is true about LB coach Jay Hopson, he needs to go. Your LB coach has to have the ability to bring in top notch talent for your defense. I'm also sick of the Sparty's that post all over the message boards on various sites. Hey Sparty, you played Michigan, Iowa, and Penn State at home and didn't have to play Ohio State. Add this years expectations and now tell me what team has underachieved? |
