He knows it's a rivalry; I

He knows it's a rivalry; I just don't think that he has much of an emotional connection to it. Seems like it's strictly business to him; when we all know that OSU Michigan is much more than that.

My take...

Can Michigan beat Ohio State? Most certainly. It's a rivalry and you can never take those kind of games for granted.

With that being said, however, its going to be a tough sell. While Tressel might not be the best at making adjustments in the middle of a heated contest, he has shown an ability to refine his teams to what they are good at come the home stretch of the schedule.

Michigan also has to face Wisconsin the week prior, which plays into the Buckeyes hands from a fatigue standpoint.

I don't see this game coming out as a win for Michigan, but then again not many did before the season began.

It's funny how things normalize as the season goes along. Before the year people thought of Michigan as a team that would improve by a few wins, and they look to be on course for an 8 win season in my estimation. Of course expectations grow and shrink as the games are played, but it is noteworthy how they trend back to the normal by the time the home stretch comes along.

OSU vs Michigan and Recruiting

Correct me if I'm wrong, but many of the kids that go to OSU (and Michigan conversely) have rarely picked one school directly over the other. In other words, while every kid in the Midwest has Michigan and OSU both in their top 10 (because, duh), rarely does the kid have both in his top two or three towards the end.

Especially on the offensive side of the ball, because other than obvious blue chippers OSU and Michigan don't really go after the same type of recruit. Defensively of course is a different story, as everyone needs linebackers, ends, and defensive backs (!!1!).

Point taken, but I think a bit overstated.

Okay, so here I go being

Okay, so here I go being defensive. I'm getting used to this. First off I think you meant "purposely." Second, it's far from certain that Tressel even did this. And third, I didn't say I was okay with it, I don't think that getting an unsportsmanlike is beneficial in any way possible. But given the fact that the scrimmage was just for jersey rights, I'm willing to get past it without knocking on a 19 year old's character.

Now here is the inconvenient truth. I would much rather see this type of fire in scrimmage rather than the bland, non-competitive, and emotionless style of practice that I've become accustomed to seeing. Especially in the years of Boeckman and the two Brian's. Our offensive leaders had negative charisma; I was bored to watch them and defenses always had a motivational advantage. Alot can be gained from having a fiery type of leader. Forcier seems to be developing into that type, at least with his facebook posts, and he's a true freshman. Cam Heyward loves to chirp, and so does Terrelle. Pryor got called for the unsportsmanlike and here we are. End of the world? No...A cause for concern? Possibly. Uncorrectable? Far from it. But it is refreshing to see people caring about getting better rather than not working for improvement because they're positions are guaranteed.

The scrimmage got rough . . .

The scrimmage got rough . . . TP got chirpy . . . and the penalty was horrid. But word amongst the team is that Tress told the kicker to push the kick out so that Terrelle could learn a lesson. If you look at the most recent interviews of Pryor you could tell he's done alot of growing up, but I admit confidence is one thing that he does not lack in the least.
