If I’m Warde I don’t schedule a service academy. I’m ready to schedule easy, rack up a ton of wins, get a high ranking (even if overrated, idgaf) and repeat a la Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, etc. The CFP committee has shown repeatedly that they do not penalize weak schedules as long as your recruiting is good.
Princeton is not as highly ranked in engineering as Michigan. I’m a doctoral student in electrical engineering. I did not do undergrad at Michigan. I never considered Princeton.
Her experience at Princeton would be very different than at Michigan. Princeton is a small ivy, while Michigan is Michigan. That said, people will still look at a Michigan engineering degree with extreme regard. When people learn where I’m getting a PhD, they look at me like I’m Superman.
If she’s interested in doing research, then Michigan hands down is the right choice. The engineering school is significantly larger than Princeton’s. There are many more choices in research here. Going to a small school means you’re limited to whatever the handful of professors there study, and additionally, getting a research position is much more difficult.
I think when the investigations and court cases are over, he likely will be removed as head coach. My comment was only referencing his performance as a coach, and the success his teams have had.
As an Arizona alum, I can say that he is very intense. Keep an eye on him on the sideline during a game and youll know what I mean.
He consistently has Arizona winning the Pac-12. I’m not proud of the violations committed there, but it is what it is. I think he has been disappointing in the tournament considering the talent he has there. But it’s hard to get rid of a coach who consistently wins the conference championship, always has a high seed in the NCAA tournament, and routinely beats ASU by 30+ points. Not to mention a winning record against UCLA.

I live right next to the stadium and play with my dog at the same park that a current team member plays with his dog. I talk to him often.
I asked about the qb situation not too long ago (before Purdue). He said that in practice, Speight was hands down our best qb, with O'Korn, Peters, and McCaffrey following in that order. He disputed reports that Peters had fallen below McCaffrey. I also asked why Peters wasn't playing since he looked to be our most talented qb. He said that Peters wasn't as mentally ready as Speight or O'Korn.
Take it for whatever it's worth; with this information combined with the fact that McCaffrey needs to gain serious weight before he will see reliable playing time, I would be willing to bet that Peters would get the nod.
I didn't like sling because I thought it was glitchy. I have YouTube TV and it's great. The UI is wayyyyy better than sling and I get all the ESPN channels, regular broadcast, fox sports, BTN, etc. The only thing i noticed I don't have is NFL Network.
Ohio State is in the same boat; they're in the chilly midwest and have a historically strong program. Also, one could argue that the state of Ohio is a dump and not a desitnation for many reasons. I would be willing to bet that an M program with B1G rings would be similar to OSU's recruiting over the last few years. JH might need to win a national championship before he recruits as well as Meyer did this year, though.

I got a BS in mechanical engeering and am currently pursuring a PhD in electrical engineering at UM. My undergrad was at U. Arizona, where the astronomy/astrophysics programs are highly regarded. If he is interested in these programs, then he should really check out Arizona. Tuition is reasonable for out of state students and the weather is amazing.
That being said, astrophysics is entirely math. If he likes math, then he should do fine. I highly recommend taking calc I in highshool, and perhaps even taking it again freshman year. I did this and it was extremely beneficial. Even if he is great at math, he should expect to have to work hard regardless. I believe astronomy is not as heavy in math but I would double check that.
You should make it very clear to him that astrophysicists/astronomers work almost exclusively in academia. If he gets an undergrad degree in either, it will be worth zilch until he goes to grad school for a PhD, and even then, academia is outrageously competitive and he will not be guaranteed a job.
