- Drew Sharp, Ace Williams, Mike Valenti. Saying stupid and/or false things about Michigan in order to get Michigan fans upset is a tried and true way to phish for clicks. Let's not feed the trolls.

"It is a very traditional, pro-style play-call bias and it relies more on execution than scheme to defeat an opponent." Alas, I was hoping RichRod was going to cure this problem. *sigh* |

I gave orders that I be permitted to "sleep in" until 7am at which time I am to be group cuddled in bed by my 10-month and 3-year old daughters. Dinner will be at Sidetrack (on me, of course). |

When I chose my avatar, you were using the Meddle album cover. Perhaps I should switch to Atom Heart Mother. |

Your point is well made. I have no idea what it's like to tackle those sorts of issues as a director.
Maybe you can explain this: Why the hell did Jackson put the elves in the battle at Helm's Deep? |

That isn't happening. I'd rather take my chances with the storm. I am going to move the heaviest items to the lower shelves. That'll have to do. |

Oh, goodie. The entire contents of my garage is currently loaded onto 6-foot racks and tarped down in my backyard in preparation for a new garage floor installation. What's worse - the broad side of the racks face, you guessed it, west. |

The *merit* of Arwen and the rest of the High Elves is rooted in things far more meaningful than a brief heroic act. So much so, that one could easily make the argument that Aragorn is lacking the proper merit to wed Arwen. The uniqueness of Tolkien's Middle Earth is that it goes far beyond an epic war story. He created an entire world with history, language, and culture. To better appreciate the union of Aragorn and Arwen, one needs to be familiar with these things. The movies, of course, could never give this proper treatment. |

Exactly. Azog is long dead by the time An Unexpected Journey occurs. This is no small tweak. |

Bombadil is a brilliant (and I mean that in the truest sense of the word) character. I can only agree with the decsion to leave him out of the movie if the reason is that their treatment could not do the character justice. I recommend you listen to the BBC unabridged reading of the LotR. My appreciation for Bombadil was heightened after hearing this professional reading. |

Certainly we will be shown him morphing from man-form to bear-form but that may not happen until the Battle of Five Armies in the third installment. |

Bombadil was indeed a glaring ommission from FotR. That said, I cannot imagine Goldberry being "pissed" under any cirucmstances no matter how unjust. |

There's plenty of content in the book for three movies (especially when you can expand on things that were mentioned in brief e.g. Dol Guldur, the White Council). |

I have never contacted a recruit by any means. That said, why do recruiting analysts and other mdeia types constantly alert their followers to recruits' Twitter accounts? It seems counter-productive to the Don't Contact Recruits Directive. |

For all who don't know, Beckamann has his own show 760 WJR M-F mornings where he mainly addresses political, not sports, topics. He made similar comments to these on his show last week prior to the piece in Detnews. Apparently, the regents are looking into this: According to sources, two regents want Beckmann ousted as U of M play-by-play man immediately following "Fried Chicken-Gate." |

Since Brian posted a link to political article, can we now offer our political opinions? If so, I might say something about how words lost their meaning long before Saban came up with the non-committable offer. |
