25 weeks 5 days ago	While I do find it amusing	While I do find it amusing that "Dogs in the city" had double the viewership...I don't see how the ratings for games 1 & 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals between two of the smallest NHL markets in the country proves that the league is "dying". The matchup does have an impact on virtually every championship event with the exception of the Super Bowl. I'm not saying the NHL is "thriving" per se...but they have increased revenue for seven straight years since the 04-05 lockout.
30 weeks 1 day ago	I know its hard to get	I know its hard to get excited about MD right now, but I think the long-term potential of UMD in the B1G has great upside. With the financial support of the B1G money and Kevin Plank (UA CEO), they will have the resources to improve facilities and upgrade their coaching staff (Plank is not a fan of Edsall). If that's the case, there is solid local talent for MD to recruit an this DC/Bmore area loves the Terps and the support will be there. When you factor in the academic requirements the B1G is expanding under an the belief that 16-team super conferences are going to happen, this isn't a bad move long-term. Just the 2 cents of a MD resident

Not every DMA can be sold on every sport.  Having said that, if you're looking to "capture" the Bmore/DC college football market your best bet would be VaTech (just from personal observation).

I was so excited when my new car came with Sirius radio and I found the college football station. My excitement was quickly tempered when I was routinely subjected to the Paul finnebaum "show". Any idiot can sit there and take phone calls from redneck 'bama fans that just want to whine about the SEC. He adds nothing to the content of that show. It's terrible!
1 year 26 weeks ago	The Teal Phase?	I think comparing this to the Pistons "teal phase" is a little over the top. The Pistons changing their uniform design, logo and color scheme hardly compares to UM introducing another alternate jersey. I agree that the amount of jersey changes is over the top, specifically the road MSU's, those I really don't understand.  Do we know for sure these are limited to the Sugar Bowl? What if these were going to be the new aways and they just decided to unveil them at the Sugar Bowl? I also don't agree with the idea that we know for 100% certainty that this would happen if we were designated the home team. Similarly to the UTL jersey's, the outcry over this seems a little excessive.
