Woof.

Yes.

What's the deal with Davis's scholarship?

He counts towards the limit, but can't play?

I thought he was on medical and didn't count towards the cap of 13?

Kenpom

has them as #98 (Iowa) and #99 (Illinois) in the country.  So it shouldn't really matter.

That said, I'd rather have Illinois.  Iowa's offense is legitimately good (#27), and we all know what an elite offense can do, even if the defense isn't that great.

I agree the Big East is a pretty good conference,

but some of their close shaves haven't been against great competition:

68-66 over East TN state, home

81-77 over Marshall, home

91-87 over Marquette, road

77-72 over DePaul, home

88-82 over St. John's, home

73-68 over St. John's, road

96-91 over Georgetown, home

There are a bunch of other close wins against better competition (e.g., 72-71 at Creighton)

Their only "close" loss was by 9 on the road against Providence.

None of those are wins to be ashamed of, but it's a lot of close wins -- and suggests they've been a little lucky.  You don't always make all the shots in the last couple minutes to pull the game out.

The third best team in the country should roll a few more of those opponents.

Double Post, sorry!

Xavier

Is the most overrated team in there.  A ton of close shaves against mediocre competition, and only one pretty nice win (Cincinnatti, at home).  Plus, they got pounded by Villanova and Arizona State.

Emory Jones also flipped to Florida

Kind of a rough finish to OSU's class?

I guess the day isn't over yet.

Predicting a safety?

Is that how we get to 11?

I can only hope that Saturday night

The couches are lit!

MSU calls for aid!

Dutcher has been at SD State for a long time

He was an assistant here under Fisher.

Agreed. Louisville uses Adidas

So probably Louisville and not UK.

Here's an article with more details

http://www.businessinsider.com/college-basketball-bribery-scandal-arres…

Arizona, Auburn, San Diego State, and OK State are named.  As is Adidas.

It looks like the sportswear company is Adidas

Jim Gatto is employed as their "Director of Global Sports Marketing."

Auburn, Oklahoma State, and Adidas employ defendents

Lamont Evans was an Assistant Coach at South Carolina, now at Oklahoma State.

Chuck Person is an Assistant Coach at Auburn.

And Jim Gatto is employed by Adidas as the "Director of Global Sports Marketing."

I assume not all schools that used Adidas apparel engaged in this behavior... really glad that we have Beilein!

Excessively

Excessively negative threads.

Agreed

I turned my adblocker back on for the site, though I felt bad while doing it.

It was interrupting conference calls and crashing Firefox.

This is way off-thread

But I don't have thread-starting privileges.

Did anybody else just see the McDonald's commercial during the Lions game that talks about needing to find new things to hate, like...

-Dog Strollers

or

-Football players who unnecessarily stress the word "The".

I wonder if it was unintentional, or if they made that commercial specifically for Michigan.

I'd love

I'd love a brief summary of the most important/interesting takeaways.  This is over 2,000 words, which is a lot of time to invest.  Especially because the position/assistant coach press conferences are generally less revealing than Harbaugh's.

That said, I shouldn't whine too much.  Really appreciate the job you're doing.

So then

So then you're on board with the implication that this doesn't affect Michigan's chances of winning tomorrow?

Betting Line

Biegel's injury doesn't seem to have moved the line from -10.5 Michigan.  Any ideas why that might be?

Yes

You need 100 points.

You're sort of almost there :P.

Elapsed time...

One minute.  Damn.

I'm really liking all the posession for Germany

I'm really liking all the posession for Germany

Let's go

Germany!

I actually follow his diet

I still eat animals/white grains around holidays or in restaurants, but at home it's whole grain foods and lots of vegetables.

Once you get used to it, it's not a big deal at all.  And if you look at the cardiovascular and cancer research, it's a trade-off I'm more than happy to make.

I have revised my opinion

There's a reason it was on emergency special.  Not so good after the first swig.

The Sonoma Brew

was on emergency special at the westside Kroger tonight.  So far so good.

Ann Arbor Council for Traditional Music and Dance

Got married in a church, had the reception at AACTMAD.  Would do it again.

You can bring in booze, get a nice caterer, and keep the costs reasonable.  Also great for dancing.

AACTMAD is also near Kensington, which is great for guests flying in.
