They thought Jay Harbaugh…

They thought Jay Harbaugh was Jim’s brother in a podcast a few weeks back. Listeners in their chat had to correct them.

I like the cover-3 guys, but they can spread themselves thin when trying to give in-depth analysis as national guys.

Exactly. So let me…

Exactly. So let me understand: for the past however many years, whenever news from Balas would be posted on this site, the entire thread would be filled with “Balas doesn’t know a goddamn thing”. But now that’s all out the window when what he says can fuel a perception bias?

Its clear nobody had good sources on the coaching situation at Michigan all season, from JUB on down. Seriously doubt that’s changed now.

Getting both safeties back…

Getting both safeties back is the most surprising off season development so far.

Is Sabb going to take over Mikey’s role?

He clearly wants to be…

He clearly wants to be somewhere where he’s on the field. Can’t blame him. Wish him the best.

Thought he had the potential to be that 50-50 ball deep threat that we haven’t had since Nico. Welp.

Never crossed my mind. Now…

Never crossed my mind. Now isn’t the time to be picky.

I will say, it is sweeter having beat an SEC team (Bama/UGA in particular) to have gotten here. Validation wise, more respect has been earned nationally. If we shut down Penix, we’ll be looked at as one of the greatest defenses of this era.

Obviously not the first…

Obviously not the first person to ever think of this, but I decided to bet against Michigan for the Rose Bowl (first time ever sports betting). Rationalized it as, if Bama won, at least I can sadly benefit financially. If we won, it’s basically paying for pleasure (which should be legal anyway, lol). I plan on repeating for this game.

If Egbuka wasn’t highly…

If Egbuka wasn’t highly rated out of HS and wore an OSU jersey, we wouldn’t hear about him. I think UW has 3 WRs better than him, and Penix is better than every OSU QB except CJ (and on the college level, that might be debatable). Better coach as well.

If JJ plays a clean game, we are absolutely going to be able to score on them. We aren’t going to shut them out, but our secondary should be able to hold up well enough. We’ll see.

You gotta be fucking kidding…

You gotta be fucking kidding me.

Why did we ever move Tyler Morris? He was explosive when he had space and I don’t remember him ever making mistakes back there…

True. As much as I followed…

True. As much as I followed his recruitment, I just remember all of the insurances our staff gave his family. But he could also decide after one year that this program isn’t the right fit and bolt somewhere like what Dante is currently doing, so yeah you’re right.

Dante is also unproven, that…

Dante is also unproven, that was my point. He threw a pick-6 in about 3-4 straight games or something like that. He was not good at all. We have no idea how much “talent” he actually has. If not for his HS ranking, his portal entry wouldn’t even be news. I think I would rather roll the dice with Davis in a hypothetical either/or.

I want all of the local kids…

I want all of the local kids to end up being successful, and hope Dante lives up to his HS hype....but if I had to be honest, not sure I want Moore if it costs us J. Davis. Think I'm more willing to roll the dice on Jadyn's moxie translating to the next level than what Moore showed in-game this year.

Unless JJ lights up in the playoffs, I think he's going to come back. Davis can then step in as a redshirt fr/soph, or we can hit the portal if necessary.

They sold that joke like…

They sold that joke like Bernie Mac told it, Jesus Christ. Studio shows so are so damn performative.

Trying to guess what that…

Trying to guess what that committee would do feels like a waste of time, tbh. They would have made up some bullshit reason to justify whatever decision it decided to make. That's the answer, lol.

This notion that it's always been about the "best" 4 teams is bullshit. UGA would be favored tomorrow over every team in the CFP, including Bama, but they aren't in because they don't *deserve* to be. Bama would've been in last year, etc. You are supposed to earn your way in. They invoked an injury criteria that they haven't enforced up until this point to keep FSU out. Flavor of the day type shit.

Not shocked, but at the same…

Not shocked, but at the same time...damn. Assume they told him they were hitting the portal for an established QB and he saw the writing on the wall.

This is going to become more common. We saw it last year with Deion forcing kids out. Dirty game.

Against their #1 rival, in a…

Against their #1 rival, in a game that's notorious for crazy shit happening. We as Michigan fans should know how flukey the in-state rivalry game is capable of being. Just two years ago, Bama beat Auburn in a game they had no business winning, and then smoked arguably the best version of UGA the week after (the same team that killed us in the playoff).

Bama isn't unbeatable, but they have a higher ceiling than us. On paper, they are better than us. That doesn't mean we can't be the best team on that day, though. Milroe has the best deep ball in the country, but he can be erratic as hell under pressure, and doesn't read zone coverage well. If our defense brings its A-game, they will have trouble. JJ needs to be the best QB on the field for us to win. This is the game that can put him in the 1st round and have him be the 3rd QB off the board if he balls out. This is his shot.

Just fyi, the replicas look…

Just fyi, the replicas look nothing like actual "buffs" (buffalo-horned Cartier frames), though. What they wear on the sidelines are real buffs, which run for around $2k, depending on where you get them from. They are a replica of the wire frames, if anything.

In Detroit, its considered a sin to wear knockoff cartiers (Will knows), which is why I've thoroughly enjoyed the fact that he's making money from it. Happy for the athletes finding ways to make NIL work for them despite not having the Miami/SEC/OSU level deals waiting on them.

How the fuck was this dude…

How the fuck was this dude ever let near Michigan's program? What self-respecting coach would agree to be apart of a goofy ass bit like that? I'm sure Dave gave him a check for the appearance, but what did that even serve?

I remember OSU's year quite…

I remember OSU's year quite well, because that was the year I had the most confidence in Michigan winning. That game was when we all understood Don Brown had to go. I hope Haskins (RIP) thanked Brown for getting him back into 1st round consideration, because he looked terrible in a few of their games in the back half of the season.

Mentioned this in the game…

Mentioned this in the game thread, but JJ still lets mistakes affect his confidence/play. It's probably his biggest flaw. Unless he absolutely lights it up over the next few(?) games, he's coming back next year.

Nobody said that...

Nobody said that...

One of the biggest flaws in…

One of the biggest flaws in JJ's game is how he lets mistakes affect his confidence/play. He's much better at it this year, but it always feels like a snowball effect. He probably makes that throw before the pick. The playcalling over the past couple of games probably hasn't helped his confidence, either.

Past couple of games, we've…

Past couple of games, we've been giving up at least 4-5 a pop on first down run plays.

Has JJ been told not to use…

Has JJ been told not to use his legs today? He's had a few different opportunities to take off, and hasn't.

Our playcalling has…

Our playcalling has noticeably regressed since the suspension.

Moore was the acting HC during for the Bowling Green game, too, right? That was easily Michigan's worst performance from that early stretch of games when Harbaugh was out.

This is how games are lost…

This is how games are lost. Im about to make a Portillo's run. DVR'ing this shit so I can fast forward at my own will. I can't watch this live anymore.

2 timeouts gone with almost…

2 timeouts gone with almost a whole qtr left? We need the HC back immediately

I understand if we don't…

I understand if we don't trust our o-line in pass-pro, but we are starting to play with fire w/ our playcalling

Big Ten has enough info to…

Big Ten has enough info to prove Michigan broke policy by illegally stealing signs - Dinich | Get Up - YouTube

^^^@ the 8:28 mark, Dan Orlowsky and Harry Douglas completely destroy the idea that Michigan's success over the past couple years was due to sign stealing, which Paul Finebaum and Heather Dinich was trying to argue.

That's what happens when you give a voice to actual informed football minds instead of just hacks.

It’s almost as if SAS gets…

It’s almost as if SAS gets paid to have cartoonish takes on sports he knows little about, outside of NBA. It’s a complete clown show on that network when it comes to non-athlete analysts.

Dan Orlovsky embarrassed Paul Finebaum significantly worse on this topic, btw. Greeny had to cut him off.

About 1/3rd of the threads…

About 1/3rd of the threads made about this situation has been similarly bat shit looney, if we are going to be honest.

It’s been fine on my phone,…

It’s been fine on my phone, but on my desktop, it takes forever to load.

funny you posted this, it…

funny you posted this, it popped into my youtube algorithm this morning. Ive watched the OSU one from last year about 20 times, no bullshit.

from the MSU game you linked, fast forward to 34:40:

"it's 8 seconds left, anything can happen here..."

WHAT?!?!?!? Lmaoo. Jesus Christ.

Willing to bet Rutgers is…

Willing to bet Rutgers is one of the teams making accusations. During one of those after-the-qtr-coach-interviews, Greg Schiano is clearly trying to allude to something he believes Michigan is doing. Jane Coaston just retweeted it for those wanting to see. If I were one of these shitty programs in this conference not named OSU/PSU, I would probably more concerned with upgrading the talent on my roster, but that's just me. Sign stealing is not why these teams can't compete.

This also seems to be something coming from the B1G, and the NCAA is now investigating. The league is who brought the "evidence" to MSU showing that we "clearly knew the other team's plays". There's obviously no reason to respect the NCAA, but this isn't an instance of them "picking on" the program.

I don't know how much of…

I don't know how much of this is the NCAA's doing. Would bet its opposing coaches who made complaints in attempt to tarnish recent success of the program. Also wouldn't be surprised if this was a calculated move from other B1G programs to give Harbaugh another reason to not want to deal with college.

Of course Michigan isn't the only program to do this, but you shouldn't be putting yourself in position to get caught. The discourse on this is going to be annoying. Give the media (and rivals) any reason to shit on Michigan and they will take it.

That was fun.

Minnesota…

That was fun.

Minnesota was only able to capitalize on it once, but I noticed that they tried to target Mikey a few times. I wonder if it was something they saw on tape that made them feel comfortable doing that. Minnesota is incompetent, so it didn't matter.

Keon Sabb looks like a future 1st round pick. Doesn't even start, but popped off the screen all year.

I don’t think it’s “blow” at…

I don’t think it’s “blow” at all. Every situation should always be judged case-by-case. Anybody wanting to discredit a another victim simply based on this was probably looking to do so anyway.

People can be morally inconsistent. Even if you assume the worst, its possible for somebody like her to be 100% genuine about her “mission”, while also having zero problems using a man for his money and dating married men (allegedly).

All of this makes Mel Tucker look like a massive simp btw, lol. I assume Brenda viewed their relationship as a “sugarbaby/daddy with no sugar” type of deal. Mel is a multi-millionaire, why was he even resorting to that?…yet dude was taking those pics posted up with cigars like a boss, lol. C’mon dude.

Cabana has gotten into a…

Cabana has gotten into a game? Must’ve been slimming through the end of one of these games when it was out of hand, because I don’t remember that.

Truth be told, Texas…

Truth be told, Texas deserves to be over us & UGA right now. AP is meaningless anyway.

Once the playoff rankings come out, I wouldn’t be surprised to see us & UGA outside the top 4 to start off…but as you said, it doesn’t mean a damn thing anyway.

LSU has no business being…

LSU has no business being ranked. OSU vs Maryland should be a ranked spotlight game. If they weren’t coming off of a bye, I would have OSU on upset alert. Still wouldn’t be surprised if they lost. Maryland had looked legit.

Worst possible outcome for…

Worst possible outcome for my rooting interest. USC wins and gets to keep a top 10 ranking, Colorado loses but puts up an entertaining fight that they can sell to recruits, specifically Bryce Underwood.

Fox booked this game like attitude-era Vince.

Would argue, up until OSU,…

Would argue, up until OSU, so did just about everyone else. We have been a mostly mediocre, at best, passing offense. Not putting that blame entirely on Anthony.

The word on AA out of OU’s practices was that he was their most productive WR was in for a nice year. Good to see it coming to fruition.

I think Blake has been “back…

I think Blake has been “back” from the jump. I believe it was the first game of the season where they said he hit 22mph during that sprint up the left sideline, which was the fastest of any ball carrier in the country that week. His lack of yardage hasn’t been on him. He’s been fine.

Edwards on the other hand, has a style in which he is overly patient to hit the hole & always looking the biggest play. It’s making him look bad early, especially with this OLine.

Easily the worst game of JJ…

Level of competition considered, easily the worst game of JJ’s career. 3 picks w/ a fluke TD that should’ve been another. Hopefully Harbaugh being back will resolve the lack of cohesion this team has had this year. All of these little coaching experiments are over.

He’s reverting back to last…

He’s reverting back to last year JJ, where he leaks confidence after he makes a bad play. Was hoping that he was over this. Hope this is just a blip.

These are my exact thoughts…

These are my exact thoughts as well. Willing to bet that both sides have elements of truth, and both sides are purposefully overlooking parts of the story that could make them look bad.

…and either way, it honestly doesn’t matter if it was consensual or not.  At the VERY least, this shows an extreme lack of judgment. Putting yourself in a position to get accused of sexual misconduct from a woman your program hired to educate about sexual misconduct????? Are you fucking kidding me?

Just read the USA Today…

Just read the USA Today article. Even if this was 100% consensual, this is fucking idiotic on Tucker’s part.

lol @ you using bullet…

lol @ you using bullet points as if it gives that bs more credence. I don’t remember a soul saying any of things except for Shoelace, which wasn’t exclusive to the school’s fan base. That was very much a national buzz, and rightfully so at those points of the season.

It honestly feels good that…

It honestly feels good that any type of offensive struggles arent QB/pass game-related for a change. It’s been so damn long since our pass game looked that smooth.

I assume the chemistry & rhythm for our o-line & rb’s will build as the season progresses. Corum’s 1st game back from a severe injury, 1st Gm for transfers, coaches out, etc. As long as we are hitting on all cylinders during that home stretch, I’m fine with early struggles.

A dominant game with obvious…

A dominant game with obvious things to work on that won’t have the team complacent or big-headed throughout the week. I like it.

JJ will be a 1st round pick if he continues this level of play throughout season.

Definitely made for a great…

Definitely made for a great visual.
