You cannot techinically trade a coach in the NFL. What you can do (and has been done in the past) is send compensation to another team in exchange for them letting their coach out his contract. If Harbaugh is "traded" to another NFL team, then he will be released from his 49ers contract and will need to sign a new one with the team that traded for him. The 49ers really have no leverage because another team is not going to give them anything without an agreement with Harbaugh.
I typically don't agree with redshirting a player just to try and "save" eligibility. Too much can happen in the next four or five years. If Morris is ready to play and he's the second best quarterback, then he should play if needed.
Brandon Jennings is an inefficient chucker and he's not much of a facilitator either. He's got a career 17.0 points per game on 15.5 shots per game. That's beyond awful. Someone else mentioned his 51% TS% last year (career TS% is < 50%), which is laughably bad.
Just when you think the Pistons are going in the right direction by drafting guys like Drummond and Monroe they turn around and acquire Josh Smith and Brandon Jennings.
It depends on the team. A team like the Jaguars are severely lacking in talent. There is a very good chance that he sticks there. I'm not sure the Jaguars have a running back, outside of Maurice Jones-Drew, that is a lock to make the roster. Maybe Montell Owens. Most mid-to-late round picks in the NFL have a chance if they can contribute on special teams and the Jags want Denard as their primary kick returner. I'm not telling you to run out an purchase Sunday Ticket, but I do think Denard is in a better situation than most 5th round picks.
Upon seeing the slowed down replay, I think it might have been a block. However, that's irrelevant. The refs don't have access to slowed down replay in situations like these. In real time, the play looked like a charge. Both Nantz and Kellogg thought it was a charge after the initial call and first two replays. Only after the third replay did they waver and claim to be unsure. Dick Vitale still thinks it was a charge. Obviously that's only a few opinions, but it's not like those guys have a Michigan-bias. The ref who made the call never hesitated and seemed pretty confident in the call. Fact is, the game is played on the court and not on a replay monitor. The majority of non-Michigan, non-Syracuse affiliated people I've seen/heard seem to think the played looked like a charge initially, in real time.
My opinion on basketball officiating, and I said the same thing after the Michigan/Indiana game, is that if you don't want one or two calls to change the outcome of a game then don't put yourself in that situation. Syracuse didn't lose this game because the block/charge didn't go their way. They lost it because they couldn't shoot, couldn't defend our bench players, had no answer for McGary in the first half, and their best player was completely taken out of the game by our best player. One call did not change the outcome of this game. Syracuse playing like garbage for 36 minutes did though.
Let's all get with the times. Some of these baseball stats are extremely outdated. While the Triple Crown is still very impressive, batting average and RBI are two of the most flawed stats in sports. Batting average is calculated after a significant number of plate appearances are completely ignored. RBI might be the worst stat in all of sports, as it is almost completely dependent on other players and your spot in the batting order. Consider Mike Trout, a lead off hitter. In 137 games he was the first player up to bat. That means in over 20% of his plate appearances, it was not possible for him to record an RBI without hitting a home run.
Fielding percentage is also not a true measure of defensive ability. It measure how many times you don't screw up when you get to a ball. It does not measure your ability to actually get to the ball. Superior measures of defensive ability suggests that Trout is one of the top defensive center fielders in the game while Cabrera is one of the worst defensive third basemen in baseball.
The playoff argument also annoys me. The Tigers would be 4th in the AL West, two games behind the Angels. That is, of course, assuming the Tigers would have the exact same record in a much tougher division. I fail to see why Cabrera is more valuable of a player because his team plays in a worse division.
Lastly, the idea that WAR is subjective is pretty laughable. It's a stat that took years and years to develop to get to where it is today. It's not a perfect stat by any means, but it is the best we have for measuring overall performance. It is a hell of a lot more informative than batting average and RBI.

Fister has a 3.55 FIP away from Safeco this season (2.91 at home), which is still VERY good for a #3 pitcher. His .274 BABIP on the road is a tad low, but not unusually low. He's actually walking less hitters away from Safeco (4.8%) than he is at home (5.8%). He should be fine going forward. He'll probably give up a few more home runs, but should still be a very solid #3 guy for the next few years.
Clayton now reporting that the injury was NOT a lisfranc fracture and he's only expected to miss 3-4 weeks. It sucks, but it could've been a lot worse.
If it's a 3:30 start then you will probably have to leave early or be late to the concert. I used to live down the street from The Palace and I estimate it took me around an hour to get to AA with little to no traffic. However, after the game not only will it take you forever to get out of the stadium, to your car, and onto the highway but there will be a ton of traffic. If you want to make it to the concert on time, I'd suggest leaving at least 2 hours before start time but possibly more.
Stress fractures don't always show up on x-rays, but the fact that the x-ray came back negative. If it is a stress fracture then I'm assuming it's a minor one (since it didn't show up on the x-ray) and that would set him back just a few weeks (3-5 I'd guess, unless it's more severe). Not ideal, but not the end of the world either.
Based on comments from Schefter and John Clayton, it seemed that no team was willing to give him a long-term deal as teams have been weary about investing a lot in linebackers this year. It sounds like the one-year deal was pushed for by the Lions and not Tulloch.
This is a great move for the Tigers. Fister really struggled as a rookie but has pitched pretty well since being re-called last year. He's a legit #3 starter in my opinion. Only ten AL starting pitchers have a better FIP this season than Fister. He's a 3.0 WAR player through this point in the season (also 10th in the AL) and is on pace to finish at 4.2-4.5 WAR. One could reasonably expect a slight decline from this point forward (xFIP of 3.90) but he's still a major upgrade to the rotation.
David Pauley has been very lucky for far this year, but is a solid reliever who should help the bullpen situation. While his numbers have far exceeded his peripherals, we've seen pitchers (especially relievers) who have sustained their "luck" for an entire season.
I still think the Tigers need to make another move, but they are definitely in better shape today than they were previously.
I love Mike, but his NFL future looks bleak right now. If you can't stick with the Colts as a #3 running back, then you're going to have a hard time finding a job. Good luck to him though and I hope he lands somewhere.

He strikes out a lot but gets on base at a decent rate. Over the course of the rest of the season, Betemit could very well provide the Tigers with an extra win over what they would've gotten with Inge.
I really doubt Ubaldo get traded. Colorado's asking price is insane. They asked the Yankees for the #3, #41, and #43 prospects in all of baseball (according to BA) as well as Ivan Nova. I have a feeling that Colorado is just throwing his name out there hoping some GM gets so desparate he loses his mind (Arizona did this with Justin Upton last year and no one bit).

The 4.71 is a myth. Jerry Rice actually ran a 4.49 40. Still, these kids just finished their junior seasons of high school. They haven't gone through a college S&C program and they've certainly never been trained how to properly run a 40-yard dash. A 4.73 for a soon-to-be high school senior of Dwayne Stanford's size is not bad at all. Like someone else said, if he ran a legit 4.5 40 then he'd probably be a 5*. His SPARQ score was over 100, which is pretty impressive.
If you go by WAR, Jeter is actually the 13th best short stop in the AL this year. I agree on Andrew McCutchen being the biggest snub. He's been a top five player in all of baseball this year. Dustin Pedroia should've made it this year too over Cano. I was actually surprised that some deserving Yankees and Red Sox players didn't make it in this year in favor of some non-deserving guys from those teams. How do Derek Jeter and Robinson Cano get spots but C.C. Sabathia and Mark Teixeira get snubbed? I think this year is the first year I can remember when more Red Sox deserved to go than were selected. I'm glad Alex Avila made it in past Russell Martin. Avila has been a full win better this year.
I don't know what Hoke is telling recruits, but if he is saying what Biddle claims he is, then that is not negative recruiting. Urban Meyer negative recruits. Nick Saban negative recruits. Blatently lying to kids and making up rumors is negative recruiting. Explaining the disadvantages of one school compared to your own is NOT.

I don't think Kalis is a left tackle. He's either a very good right tackle or a dominant guard, in my opinion.
