As a Blue Jackets fan, what a disappointing end to a fantastic last two months of hockey. Columbus played excellent in March and April and unfortunately it still wasn't enough. Detroit played well down the stretch and they deserve their playoff spot, but, I wish Columbus made the postseason too. |

Make the entire bird 3-dimensional and sticking out from the jersey! The thought of that makes me want to see it so badly |

Nope. He can retire here..that'd be fantastic. |
| 6 weeks 7 hours ago | Personnel.. |
What the hell happened in the last 3 minutes? We did absolutely nothing to stop Louisville's run. In my mind, you put Burke and Stauskas in there to get some offense going. Just a terrible way to end the half-they have all of the momentum now.. |
| 6 weeks 2 days ago | Burke |
Is trying way too hard to impress the scouts. Just play the game, youngblood! |

Not impressed with how this team has closed out the season. Hope they turn it around in the NCAA tourney... |
| 9 weeks 3 days ago | Our FT shooting.. |
How are we so bad at the line? Especially in the clutch? Kids need some serious FT shooting practice in the offseason. |
| 10 weeks 3 days ago | Agreed |
I laughed when I watched this. Coach is just giving the player a kick in the ass to get going. Nothing to see here. |
| 14 weeks 3 days ago | Congrats! |

Michigan got LOIs from a Nebraska de-commit, an Illinois de-commit, and a Penn State de-commit. It's the name of the game-get the best players that you can and don't stop until signing day. You can't criticize Meyer for poaching when we do the same thing... |

*no excuse NOT to have top 25 classes |
| 14 weeks 4 days ago | Hmm |
Yeah, Michigan and Ohio State had great classes. But there is no excuse for teams like Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Penn State (although the sanctions are a deterrent) to have top 25 classes. |
| 14 weeks 4 days ago | Not sure why this is controversial |
He's absolutely right. The league needs to pick up it's recruiting and get better overall. Returning to the "Big 2, Little 10" will not help the league's prestige across the country. The other members of the Big Ten need to pick it up. |

I always compared Roundtree and Braylon because they seem to make a crazy and clutch catch that nobody else would make. However, they both seemed to drop easy passes way too often. I like the comparison between the two. However, the physical abilities are different, obviously. I sure hope that Roy gets a chance at the next level and has a nice career in the NFL. I'll miss watching him play for Michigan |
| 19 weeks 1 day ago | I thought this too |
The roster has a lot of talent for a coach like Kelly to work with. He may have backed out and wanted to stay in Eugene; I don't blame him. I also question the Browns front office; they may have showed their cold feet and not trusted his system in the NFL. I was really intrigued by this move by the Browns but I think both will probably be better off without each other. |

Completely different players, completely different game. I hate this 2008 Capital One bowl talk-means nothing today.. |
| 25 weeks 2 days ago | I |
Completely agree with all of this. A petition won't work, but dang, I'm |
| 25 weeks 2 days ago | Yeah |
I'm not as pissed as most, but I am upset with the offensive playcalling. Great calls in the first, horrible calls in the second. I do think it's time to get a big time OC |
| 25 weeks 2 days ago | Agreed |
Time for somebody who is aggressive for 4 quarters |
| 25 weeks 2 days ago | I defend him enough |
But Borges is calling power when we don't have it. Gardner is throwing a good ball-keep the spread look! Stupid to go I-form; it won't work |
| 25 weeks 2 days ago | Borges has called a good game |
But denard has to be a threat to throw. If not, then Gardner needs to play every play |
| 25 weeks 2 days ago | So we have gone |
From great offensive drives to conservative, non-point garnering drives? Glad I understand the gameplan |
| 25 weeks 2 days ago | Posey? |
He was drafted into the NFL in the spring. Announcers said it was Roby |
| 25 weeks 2 days ago | I disagree |
This is a battle. Just because this drive has seen the HB dive/draw success for 6 yards a pop doesn't mean Meyer is owning Mattison. Our D has been in pretty good position all game |
| 25 weeks 2 days ago | I think it is fitting |
Ohio fans still think the program did nothing wrong. I'm sure the stadium will erupt when Tressel takes the field |
| 25 weeks 2 days ago | Way to start defense.. |

| 27 weeks 2 days ago | I feel like |

| 27 weeks 2 days ago | Our DBs |

| 27 weeks 2 days ago | WRs |
Have to get open. DG can't do this on his own. |
| 28 weeks 2 days ago | Can Floyd cover |
Without getting a PI call? |
| 28 weeks 2 days ago | I hope so |
His play in a quarter and a half should tell the coaches he can handle it. I have to agree with you that he starts next year-we need him to be our QB |
| 28 weeks 2 days ago | Wow! |
DG to Dileo!! |
| 28 weeks 2 days ago | Gardner |
I feel so much more confident with Gardner playing instead of Bellomy. Gardner is just a better QB. Glad the coaches have him in. |
| 28 weeks 2 days ago | Mealer |
Is struggling early |
| 28 weeks 6 days ago | I'll say this |
That trio won't happen. It is wishful thinking. Sure, call me Debby Downer. But we need to pick up our end stage recruiting and finish strong! There is no question Michigan is the finest at starting and getting early commits. However, the finishing counts. |
| 29 weeks 13 hours ago | That cheese... |
Turned me off from Myles. I had it twice and both times I got sick from cheese overload. If I were to choose my BG favorite..has to be Campus Pollyeyes. CAN'T beat the stuffed breadsticks. |
| 29 weeks 2 days ago | Yep |
Because coaches never make mistakes. |
| 29 weeks 2 days ago | I wouldn't call it awful |
Sure, an option on 3rd and 7 is bad, but Borges has tried to get easy throws for Bellomy and Denard. Plain and simple, worst decision by the staff is staying with Bellomy |
| 29 weeks 2 days ago | I don't even blame Borges |
The play calling hasn't been horrible. The thing that I'm pissed about is sticking with Bellomy. That's a BAD coaching decision. After Bellomy's second, or even third, shitty series, it was time to put in Gardner. Just piss poor QB choice by Hoke |
| 29 weeks 2 days ago | No arm strength |
I have never understood why this staff is so confident in Bellomy. His arm strength is seriously lacking and it just showed there. Put in Gardner!!! |
| 29 weeks 2 days ago | Time for Gardner |
I'm not even mad at Bellomy. However, his inexperience isn't helping here. Put in Devin and let him do his thing. It'll be better than Bellomy |
| 30 weeks 1 day ago | I understand the Cam era |
But whatever offense they had has only become worse this year. Last year's team was average, but at least they could compete. This year's offense is simply pathetic. I agree Chizik capitalized off of a gift in the form of Cam Newton, but I just think this was a poor hire on his part. |
| 30 weeks 1 day ago | They have every reason.. |
Loeffler has been terrible and is ruining that offense. Chizik needs to fire him and move on with the program. If he doesn't fire him, he will lose his own job. |
| 30 weeks 2 days ago | Not a troll at all |
Look at how they have beaten us. A possible 5 in a row? That's owning, dude |
| 30 weeks 2 days ago | Yeah.. |
They do. Our offensive coaches have their heads up their asses and can't make ANY adjustments. |
| 30 weeks 2 days ago | Yes |
It all starts there. Getting destroyed on the offensive line is making our average/bad playcalls look absolutely terrible. Man! When the line plays well, the rest of the team will. |
| 30 weeks 2 days ago | Exactly |
This is Deja vu. I'm tired of watching two read option plays and a shitty pass play in a three-and-out. We need to switch it up, and switch it up quickly. |
| 30 weeks 2 days ago | I've thought about this myself.. |
I wonder what effect S&C coaches have on this. I imagine that different S&C theories and training methods make transitions more difficult, and thus make the players more susceptible to injury. Just my thoughts. |
| 30 weeks 3 days ago | The Central |
The Central division, I feel, is going to be very, very good in the future. The Bulls are the big name right now, but I foresee an extremely competitive division for a long time. The Pacers are only getting better. The Cavs and Pistons are young but very talented. The Bucks will be decent as well. I'm excited for the future of the Central division |
| 31 weeks 4 days ago | Ohio |
OSU usually has a good returner or two as well. Seems like they return a couple kickoffs or punts every year. |

Defense can be improved and will tighten up. Our INTs are absolutely killing us. If we can calm Denard down and start running something that resembles an offense, then we definitely can turn this around. Denard is the x-factor right now. Get him going, and this is completely possible. Let's do this thing! Go Blue! |

| 37 weeks 13 hours ago | Building on that.. |
Vincent Smith is fearless. Also, he is extremely reliable. It seems like every time we need somebody to step up and just play hard, he always does. I realize that his stats against Alabama were not good, and that his stats have never incredible, but the guy plays hard and runs to the best of his ability-that's all you can ask for in a football players. Also, his blocking is awesome. He does all that he can to protect the QB, and that's a great thing to have. |
| 37 weeks 2 days ago | Absolutely |
Agreed. It is time to step up, like a man, and play opponents that make us better. We are handicapped playing in the Big Ten. It is a good conference and I am proud of it, but, we need a serious, national, challenge outside of it. I'm proud that we played Alabama. Although it was ugly and exploited our weaknesses, we at least took a risk and played them. This is the first step in becoming the national power that we want to be. |
| 37 weeks 2 days ago | hahaha yes! |
Not only Demens, but he entire defense. Wow, that was ugly. Good thing it is only the first game! |
| 37 weeks 2 days ago | That's not the ultimate goal |
It's 2012. Do you really think that the Pac-12's leaders' goal is the Rose Bowl? Conference titles? Hell no! For Oregon and USC, it is NC game or bust. It is not 1980 anymore-we want NATIONAL championships, not just Big Ten championships. If this program wants to gain national respect, we will aim for the national goals. I truly do hope that we stop these "old" Rose Bowl goals and aim for the stuff that really matters. |
| 37 weeks 2 days ago | Exactly |
So now we know how good we are. We got destroyed and now it is over. Good competition every year only benefits us because we can measure ourselves against the best. Do we want to be the best in the league, or the best in the nation? I'm sure we all want the latter. I applaud the Athletic Department for this schedule. Although I am disappointed, I have hope that the future will bring us completely back into the national picture. Go Blue! |
| 37 weeks 2 days ago | First.. |
I agree. We should have worn the normal home jerseys. BUT, it didn't help or help the game at all. Jerseys are jerseys, man. The team's performance is what should have bothered you!! |
| 37 weeks 2 days ago | So, you're afraid? |
This is the problem with Michigan fans. Man up, and take an ass-whooping because you aren't good enough. We shouldn't be playing gimme-games. Western Michigan is a win, but doesn't prove anything. Playing good teams and shooting for the national championship is all that matters. Big Ten championships are nice but I'd rather be in the national championship game. |
| 37 weeks 2 days ago | Yes |
I want to play this type of high competition every year. I don't want to be Wisconsin; the Rose Bowl isn't good enough. We, as fans, should want national championships. With this schedule, we challenged ourselves and tested our abilities. So what-we failed. Next time, we won't. National championships matter-Rose Bowls are second place |
| 37 weeks 2 days ago | Agreed |
This isn't Dave's fault. This is the football team's fault. Things clearly didn't go well and we simply failed to do...well..anything. Playing difficult competition is good. But, that was bad. I look forward to the improvement that this team makes throughout the year. I have a lot of faith in this team and this coaching staff. |
| 37 weeks 3 days ago | My thoughts exactly |
Hoke wanted Alabama to have to prepare for Fitz and Clark so he waited this long. You nailed it that he was gaming Bama. I'm actually happier that he waited so long to say that they were suspended because it forced Saban to prepare for many different players. |
| 37 weeks 6 days ago | Absolutely gorgeous |
That is one of the funniest photos I've ever seen. Thank you for making my day, Al. |
| 38 weeks 4 days ago | kids are kids |
I see absolutely nothing wrong with these kids having fun. Football is a game, and if they want to celebrate, let them. They aren't hurting anyone, and it is now just part of the culture. The days of Bo are gone, man, and you need to let that go. Remember what Michigan accomplished under him, but realize that not every coach that coaches here will be him. Brady is doing a fantastic job with these student athletes and I'm proud of the way that these kids represent Michigan. |
| 38 weeks 4 days ago | Bad luck |
Bad luck hits again. I'm glad Ringer had successful surgery, and I'm glad that Pipkins is back in practice and all is well. I wish Chris a successful surgery and rehab and I hope he comes back stronger than ever. |
| 38 weeks 4 days ago | QB Carousel |
Since Quinn and Clausen left, the QB situation in ND has been real bad. Not sure if they'll find their man for quite a while either. Although, it can't be the most fun time in the world getting screamed at every play by Brian Kelly, so I almost have sympathy for their QBs. Almost.. |

| 1 year 7 weeks ago | I think the problem is that |
Urban Meyer and Ohio State think that they can get anyone they want. Under Tressel, they had excellent classes year in and year out. I have no doubt that Meyer will have the same types of classes , but he's taking an extremely arrogant approach. |
| 1 year 8 weeks ago | Totally agree |
It's much harder to turn down the money for these younger kids. If I were 19-20, I would probably take my chances and leave to. If true, this is unfortunate for Michigan, but I wish him well-whatever bs does. |
| 1 year 9 weeks ago | No. |
OU fans in no way hate Ohio State. The entire state of Ohio was united last night after beating Michigan. Take it from someone who lives here, OU does not hate Ohio State at all. In fact, I can't really think of any smaller school in Ohio that "hates" Ohio State. OU did the job that every Ohioan wanted to happen. |
| 1 year 9 weeks ago | Absolutely |
In my playing days, we switched from a dark facemask to a lighter one. As a player, you could immediately concentrate on the field better. Not saying it's a huge help, but in my experience, a lighter colored facemask certainly helps. |
| 1 year 10 weeks ago | Agreed |
The reserves played harder in two minutes then the starters did in 38. Just overall a bad effort and terrible game. I'm sure they'll pick it up for the tournament. |
| 1 year 11 weeks ago | The whole fan base |
Is like this. Way too optimistic, and incredibly impatient. They are the most flip-flopping fan base in the country and they literally think they can land any recruit, win every game, and never fail. So, I'm glad Hoke is breaking down their expectations and hopes. It's a small step, but every verbal we get punches their ego right in the stomach. |
| 1 year 12 weeks ago | You don't know BG... |
I am a very recent graduate of BG, and if I take anything away from their below average athletics, it's that their hockey program will play their ass off against ranked opponents. Tonight personally came as a shock to me. I expected them to get slaughtered by Michigan. Coach Bergeron gets these guys excited for these types of games. Although they are last in the conference, they somehow show up and play their asses off during these types of games. Since tomorrow is senior night, expect a similar effort. These guys play hard when a ranked opponent comes into town.Bergeron will expect and motivate a similar effort tomorrow night from the Falcons. It's a proud program, a proud fanbase, and a school looking for big wins. If BG beats Michigan again, that makes the season for them. Sad, I'm sure for most of you. But for BG, beating Notre Dame and Michigan (possibly twice) in the same season is absolutely huge.
My interests are torn. I remain as neutral as possible. This is difficult.
Go BG/Go Blue! |

We overlooked this class lately and have been spending too much time on next years class. Lesson learned.. |
| 1 year 16 weeks ago | Attrition |
My brother is an avid Ohio fans and has said multiple times to look for up to twelve Players to be gone by spring ball. Workouts, transfers, and disciplinary dismissals will do that. They will find a way to make it work-they always do. |
| 1 year 16 weeks ago | Ot? |
Did you mean to type 'to' instead of 'ot'? |
| 1 year 16 weeks ago | I have to agree with that. |
This is similar to Brionte Dunn's recruitment. I think he's very torn about where to go. On one hand, I think he really likes the idea of playing under Mattison and Hoke, but I have to believe that his friend is pushing him to go to Ohio and play under coach Meyer. In many ways I do not admire these kids. This is a very difficult decision to make and I'd be taking my time and be just as confused as many of them are. Hopefully he goes blue in the end! |
| 1 year 16 weeks ago | Man.. |
I've been itching for a Hello: post for a while. While I personally am expecting none of these guys to commit (I expected Garnett and that was quite the disappointment), it would be tremendous to grab a couple of these players. I would love to see us get Kozan and Diamond. Those two would round out what is an incredible OL haul. Reeves and Grant would be adding some salt to Ohio's wound. Let's hope we get these commits! |

| 1 year 17 weeks ago | Yeah |
The seat will be really hot if he wins less than 10 or 11 times every year. Growing up and still living in Ohio, you realize that Ohio fans are even more irrational than every other fanbase, anywhere. Once the pressure builds and he (hopefully) loses to Michigan every year, he won't be able to handle it. |
| 1 year 17 weeks ago | Very nice! |

| 1 year 17 weeks ago | I think |
The book, to me, revealed a lot of new stuff. I have read this blog for about a year and half now, so that is perhaps why some of this stuff was so surprising to me. I agree that if you have read MGoBlog for a while this information is not surprising and is more of a rehash than anything else. It did piss me off with how RR was treated and I viewed the book as more sad than anything. I did enjoy it, and I'm glad I read it because it put things into perspective for me. |
| 1 year 17 weeks ago | Cross your fingers for NW |

Young. 18, popular, and obviously wanting a piece. Although I think this type of talk in public is stupid as hell, he did it multiple times. He's acting like a typical 18 year old except he needs to stop thinking outloud. He's making himself look really really bad. |
| 1 year 17 weeks ago | Thank you |
Let's move on and let this kid do the same |
| 1 year 17 weeks ago | Very true.. |
It really is just frustrating, and typical. As much as I supported him, we suffered through three awful seasons under RR. Preceding RR, Carr couldn't beat Tressel, and the list goes on and on. I get so tired of OSU, and I just wish something (ANYTHING) would set them back like we were set back. The NCAA sanctions help, but I have a bad feeling about Meyer taking over. |
| 1 year 17 weeks ago | Urbs |
Urbs putting together a great class for Ohio. It does worry me a bit, but Hoke has put together a great class here. Here's to a revived and extremely competitive war with Ohio. |

but this needed to happen. He will be missed next year for sure. I enjoyed watching him play, and I wish him all of the best in the future. |

We will be just fine without him. Did I want him and hear that he was going to UM? Yes. But that's not reality. I'd love to pick up a DB or another OL. Hoke and Co. know what they are doing. Besides, Fitz ended the regular season very well. I had my questions about him, but those were quickly forgotten. We will be just fine without Dunn |

| 1 year 24 weeks ago | You may be right.. |
There may be jealousy of his possible decision to attend Michigan. I'm not sure. Again, I didn't mean to start rumors. I only tried to report what I had hears from someone who sees and interacts with Dunn on the daily.. |
| 1 year 24 weeks ago | Make my day |
I'd love that announcement! |
| 1 year 24 weeks ago | Agreed. |
And I'm repeating what my cousin said. I am in no position to judge Dunn's character. I am just hoping he goes Blue! |
| 1 year 24 weeks ago | Explaining.. |
Excuse my language. I meant no harm or slander with my words. I apologize. I only meant to say that he will make his decision in his own time and enjoys the pursuit of big time schools. |
| 1 year 24 weeks ago | Not trying to start rumors |
Again, I'm not trying to throw something out there to give me points. I say only what my cousin who teaches high school history at Glenoak had told me on the last holiday. He had watched, talked to, and interacted with Dunn for a couple of years now. I only repeat what he has told me. |
| 1 year 24 weeks ago | He has spoken to him.. |
Again, I'm not Ace or TomVH. But just repeating what my cousin has told me |
| 1 year 24 weeks ago | True |
My apologies...just repeating I've heard from Glenoak faculty.. |
| 1 year 24 weeks ago | ? |
A-hole? Sorry I quoted a faculty member that observes his behavior every day.. |
| 1 year 24 weeks ago | Attention.. |
That's how he is. My cousin has said numerous times he had caught Dunn talking to the Glenoak AD about attending Michigan. Frankly, he wants to be pursued and to pick a hat on signing day. That's how he is. But according to my sources, which are VERY reliable, Dunn will put on the Michigan hat come signing day. |

I have a cousin who teaches high school history at Canton Glenoak. He says Dunn has been Blue the entire time. According to him, Dunn wants to enroll early to be ready for Alabama. No worries Michigan, Dunn has been and will go blue. He's just an attention whore.. |

Fickell needs to leave dodge and head to Akron. Frankly, his superiors absolutely screwed him and treated him like dirt. Sad, really. But I hope he does find a job and works up to a high level HC job somewhere. He has passion and defensive creativity. He will be fine if he gets the hell out of Columbus. |

I went to BG for undergrad and had to watch this pathetic team for four years. Although I'm happy that I can watch them on ESPN after graduating, this is embarrassing. It's a prayer to win a game. Oh well, I have to stay true-Go Falcons! |

Agreed. Denard just isn't a good passer. Accept that fact. Borges is calling good plays, and we can't execute at all. Do I want Gardner in? No. But this is frustrating! |

Being from Ohio and rooting for all Cleveland sports, I know ugly. But wow, those are pathetic, hideous, and need to be destroyed immediately. |

DD is a hell of a lot better than Austin Panter. He'd have an immediate impact. |

That's a shame. I wish him a quick recovery and good luck in the future at Alabama. I would assume he would keep his scholarship even if injured but who knows in the Land of Saban.... |
| 1 year 45 weeks ago | Yeah.. |
Agreed. I particularly noticed the lack of RichRod's genius when he repeatedly failed to adapt to any defense that showed up to play. Denard's speed and magic, and some degree of Tate's athleticism in '09, kept RichRod around for three years. |
