I couldn't care less about…

I couldn't care less about Ono, but he needs to take action and fire Manuel today!  Harbaugh never respected Manuel and could barely stomach talking to him.  Manuel had over two years to sign Harbaugh to a lifetime contract and he couldn't be bothered to get off his fat ass and take action.  Now we are stuck in a place where we have to cobble together a team and coaching staff and have absolutely no momentum from an incredible national championship run.

Warde is a complete piece of…

Warde is a complete piece of shit and he needs to go!  He is solely responsible for not getting an extension signed by Harbaugh in 2022 or 2023.  Let's face it, Michigan won the national championship despite having Warde screwing up everything he touched!

Do we have any accountants…

Do we have any accountants out there who know if the IRS is communicating with both the NCAA and all the prospective college athletes to ensure that all "NIL" payments are reported as income on an annual basis?  Maybe the IRS is already doing this, but it sure seems like a lot of money and high-end gifts are being delivered to 18-year old kids and their parents under the table.  Tax evasion and defrauding the US government are serious issues that can ruin anyone's life.  I'm sure that one of the US Senators from Ohio will be calling for an investigation sometime in early December of 2024 after their beloved bucknuts suffer another humiliating season-ending loss to Michigan!

I believe that Michigan has…

I believe that Michigan has the longest winning streak in the country now...15.  We also have a 31 game B1G winning streak dating all the way back to that piece of crap game against Sparty in 2021.  My how time flies when you are having fun!

I watch the games as often…

I watch the games as often as possible, but I quickly become so disinterested that I barely pay attention to what's happening in the game.  I was never that way a few short years ago!

Look at the disadvantages of…

Look at the disadvantages of illegal recruiting through bags of upfront cash.  There are so many programs out there who direct their boosters to pay for recruiting visits and big dollar upfront signing payments.  They end up getting all the 5* players they can fit on a roster and then these players end up less motivated than every other 3 and 4-star player out there who works his ass off to show their skills and ability to play at the next level.

What would you do if you were an 18-year old freshman with a $100K plus in untaxable spending money?  Probably get into a lot of trouble, develop a bad work ethic, and look to the transfer portal for your next big pay day.  It is only the beginning, but you will see a lot more 5-star recruits who end up being busts and the sleazebags who paid them will regret their giving the upfront piles of cash to these kids.  I wonder if anyone is tracking how many of the top 300 recruits ever actually receive a college degree and how this statistic is trending?  I guess that would be the job of the NCAA but obviously they have higher priorities than what is included in their organizational mission statement!

I think Harbaugh has the NIL…

I think Harbaugh has the NIL thing fairly well-tuned at this point.  We are not looking for players who are looking for a big bag of money in terms of NIL dollars.  We are looking for smart young men that are looking for the incredible player development opportunity that is provided by Michigan's NFL caliber coaching staff. We have a high-value sales proposition when it comes to recruiting in the portal, and when you balance that with the awesome job that Harbaugh and staff has been doing in identifying under-valued talent at the high school level, who has it better?

There are so many deranged…

There are so many deranged people out there...it's actually scary!  Look at this comment that I just saw on the Eleven Wussiers website from a wacko Ohio loser talking about their latest loss...

"You get over being a victim of a crime but you still want justice. These guys can’t be too hard on themselves, they did what they could on the field but the cheating was too much. Either directly or indirectly the cheating made the difference as it has the past two seasons. It will be clear to all once Alabama finishes stuffing TCUN in a coffin that all their “success” is due to cheating. Never forget. Never forgive. Hopefully the Florida AG investigators looking into the CFP  committee will also have a go at looking into TCUN’s cheating. They can demonstrate real damages to FSU and make a compelling case as to why TCUN should have been excluded from the playoffs this season. I am still holding out hope that they replace TCUN with FSU or someone else before the playoffs so that the cheaters aren’t rewarded and the games aren’t vacated. Compelling. NCAA and CFP and TCUN/B1G have left the door wide open for lawsuits and will lose."

The problem with this vote…

The problem with this vote is that some hacker went in early and had a bot vote 30K times for the coaches at FSU and JMU.  It's just a waste of time right now unless they go back and fix it.

But, but, but...11 Warriors…

But, but, but...11 Warriors says that we are losing over 40 players to graduation this year and that the NCAA is going to hammer the program with the death penalty!  I'm surprised most of our team hasn't entered the transfer portal already.  Maybe this year's starters will just not play in the Alabama game so that they don't risk getting hurt and thereby damage their NFL prospects.  OSU is looking for a new starting QB, so maybe JJ will realize his error and transfer to Columbus!

Do you really think that he…

Do you really think that he is going to college to play "school"?  This dude wants to go to the school that provides him with the best opportunity to become a first round draft pick.  He got his money from A&M and doesn't have to pay it back.  He now needs to make a smart choice.

Thanks for the daily…

Thanks for the daily reminders!  I don't believe that I have missed the opportunity to vote for BC every day thanks to you.

He's a POS who gets intoxicated by his verbosity and the inhalation of his own flatulence!

Colorado has about 80 new…

Colorado has about 80 new players on their roster this year.  I don't think TCU had a great understanding of how to scheme for a team that had virtually no video on file.  It will be a lot easier to create a game plan as teams start to understand Colorado's strengths and weaknesses.  TCU is down from last year, and I don't mean to minimize the significance of CU's victory, but I foresee issues for them as they go up against good competitors who have the information to create a game plan against them.

I went to Rice as well and…

I went to Rice as well and was in the class with Paul Jokisch.  We had great football and basketball teams in my time there ('78 to '82).  Brian Brennan (BC and Cleveland Browns), BJ Armstrong (Iowa & Bulls), Dave Yarema (MSU QB), Greg Dingens (Notre Dame), and a whole lot of other college athletes.  Not bad for a relatively small private school that had less than 900 students at the time.

I am 99%+ certain that Warde…

I am 99%+ certain that Warde and crew sat down with Jim and they all agreed that this was the correct thing to do.  It doesn't mean that Jim is happy with it, but he wants to be done with this as well.  I also think that this is going to give both our coaches and players an extra incentive this year to stick it to the NCAA by crushing our competition.  Can't you just see Harbaugh winning the National Championship and then immediately telling the NCAA to go stick it up their asses!

My daughter attends…

My daughter attends Northwestern and I just received the following note from the president of the university:

Dear Members of the Northwestern University Community,

As many of you may be aware, yesterday we made public the executive summary of investigative findings and detailed action steps regarding hazing within the Northwestern Football program. I felt it important that you hear from me directly about our processes and next steps in this matter.

Upon receiving an anonymous complaint from a student-athlete in November 2022, the University acted prudently to immediately engage an independent investigator to perform a comprehensive review of the complaint, including outreach to current and former student-athletes. After reviewing the report, I assessed a two-week suspension for Head Coach Pat Fitzgerald, which went into effect immediately. However, upon reflection, I believe I may have erred in weighing the appropriate sanction for Coach Fitzgerald.

The confidential report concluded that while there was corroborating evidence that hazing had occurred, there was no direct evidence that Coach Fitzgerald was aware of the hazing. In determining an appropriate penalty for the head coach, I focused too much on what the report concluded he didn’t know and not enough on what he should have known. As the head coach of one of our athletics programs, Coach Fitzgerald is not only responsible for what happens within the program but also must take great care to uphold our institutional commitment to the student experience and our priority to ensure all students — undergraduate and graduate — can thrive during their time at Northwestern. Clearly, he failed to uphold that commitment, and I failed to sufficiently consider that failure in levying a sanction.

As a leader entrusted with the welfare of our students, I have always — and will always — act in their best interest. In this instance, I attempted to do just that based on the facts presented to me and by taking strong actions to ensure that hazing will no longer occur in our football program, including permanently discontinuing off-campus pre-season practices; the establishment of a locker room monitor who does not report to the football staff; additional anti-hazing training for all football student-athletes, and additional actions.

Due to the confidential nature of the investigation, I just learned the name of the young man who first reported the allegations. I spoke with his family and offered my sincere apologies for what their son had to endure, and I also attempted to reach out to the young man himself to offer my apologies. I was moved by what I heard from his family and by the impact the hazing had on their son. In the days ahead, I will engage with University leadership, including the Board of Trustees as well as the leadership of the Faculty Senate, and will keep you abreast of any developments as I assess future steps.

I am grateful to Peter Barris, Chair of the Board of Trustees, for his unrelenting support and guidance as we have navigated this issue over the last several months.

Northwestern University is an extraordinary university with an exceptional athletics program. I am committed to ensuring that the misconduct that occurred in our football program never happens again anywhere in our university community.

Have a good evening.

Sincerely,

Michael Schill

Fitzgerald comes out to my…

Fitzgerald comes out to my club every summer to do a Northwestern fundraising golf event every year.  I had the opportunity to play with him one time and he still remembers my name many years later.  He really is a salt-of-the-earth guy and he doesn't take shortcuts.  Most of his players seem to love him and I really doubt that Northwestern would ever replace him simply due to his win-loss record.  His record would be a lot better if he had better facilities and was able to recruit players that only want to play football and not go to class.

Yeah, why would we want…

Yeah, why would we want someone like this as a coach! It's not like he knows anything about discipline, sacrifice, or teamwork.  He would be a horrible recruiter as well...who is dumb enough to want to swim for some schmuck who is the most successful and most decorated Olympic champion of all time with a total of 28 medals.  Sure, he holds the all-time record for Gold medals (23), for Gold medals in individual events (13), and for Olympic medals in individual events (16), but what kind of young athlete wants to be coached by this slacker!

I couldn't give a rat's ass…

I couldn't give a rat's ass about this game after the refs screwed us out of a game-changing TD versus TCU.  I imagine that this is going to be one of the lowest-watched CFP games in history, but the NCAA gets what they deserve!

Of course he set the high…

Of course he set the high school record...who the hell would want to tackle some shit-stained running back?

I went to an all-boys high…

I went to an all-boys high school decades ago and although my family wasn't wealthy, it was a wonderful experience.  The academic and sports experiences were so much better than the local public schools and I was able to make some great life-long friendships that continue to this day.  It also enabled me to get into Michigan.

I sent my daughter to a private school here in Illinois because she is extraordinarily smart but somewhat shy.  I felt that she would get lost at the local high school (over 2,500 kids in attendance) and that she would have a much better shot at standing out academically.  It seems to have worked as she was accepted into every college that she applied to including Michigan.  She will be attending Northwestern in the fall and was essentially given a full ride to attend.

If you can justify the financial expenditure, try it out for a year and you can always transition to a public education if that's what your son wants to do.

Jason Richards of Davidson…

Jason Richards of Davidson ended up leading the NCAA in Assists by simply dishing off to Steph.  Jason went to my local high school and is the son of the late Tom Richards (who played at Pitt and was the former CEO of CDW...a great guy and a true gentleman!).

My daughter was accepted…

My daughter was accepted into LS&A yesterday as well.  We live out of state so I am afraid of the projected tuition bill! It's kind of disappointing to see schools like Georgia, Alabama, Miami (YTM), Missouri ante up huge scholarship dollars while Michigan doesn't seem to give out anything.  It's probably going to come down to Michigan, Northwestern, or USC for her..and indentured servitude for me!

If you are part of the…

If you are part of the Michigan athletic department and are trying to negotiate a new contract with Harbaugh, you are going to need to ensure that the University president, regents, etc. know that they are at risk of losing a "hot commodity" if they don't approve a huge contract.  I think the threat of Jim going back to a crappy NFL franchise is being overblown and I'm sure that this information was intentionally planted by the folks within the athletic department in Ann Arbor.  MSU and Penn State are currently paying their middle-of-the-road coaches a lot more than Michigan is paying Harbaugh, but the leadership at Michigan is going to need all the justification they can get to offer a huge, long-term contract to a coach who really only has one great year while at Michigan.  This is simple bargaining and negotiation.

Yeah, right.  Showing the losses on the wall would be really helpful in our recruiting efforts when kids do a walk-through of the facilities!

Congratulations!  I love hiring fellow Ross grads...they seem to have a much better work ethic and they aren't the prima donnas that you get from Stanford, Harvard, etc.  Best of luck in your future endeavors!

We just got back from Indy…

We just got back from Indy yesterday.  We stayed at the brand new Bottleworks hotel and it was awesome.  It's a short Uber ride from the game venue, but it was worth it.  I've stayed at a lot of five-star hotels in my lifetime, but this place has the best rooms and amenities I have ever seen, and it is probably half the cost of most of the other name-brand, high-end hotels in Indy.

Go Blue!

At the end of the video,…

At the end of the video, doesn't the lady cop ask Hooker if he goes by another name?  I thought she asked him if he was Roosevelt Cooper and Hooker responds that it is not his car.  So who is Roosevelt Cooper and why is he lending his car to a drunken moron?  Nothing to see here folks...please move along and let the Columbus Police Department handle this!

I can't envision Michigan losing this game.  I think the team is going to be well-rested and well prepared to take on an unimpressive Wisconsin team.  I can hardly wait for Sunday to come...GO BLUE!

Sorry, I know it's well known, but I did forget to mention the incredible opioid crisis in Columbus!

Fuck OSU and everything that…

Fuck OSU and everything that they represent!!! (sports success at all costs; cheating as much as possible, and assigning scapegoats when you get caught; turning a blind eye to sexual assault and any crimes committed by their sports teams; academics being completely unimportant if you play for a revenue-generating sport, a mostly ignorant and rabid fanbase that has nothing else going for them; a campus located in one of the worst shithole cities in the contiguous 48, etc.).

Crap...should have never…

Crap...should have never made this post!  Suckeyes on a 14 to 1 run right now.

The Spartans are incredibly…

The Spartans are incredibly horrible!  Most of these guys were highly rated coming out of high school, but it looks like Izzo is utilizing some of his legendary coaching magic to turn them into a steaming pile of dog crap.  When there isn't a single player on their roster that would get significant minutes if they were on the Wolverine team, you know it's bad!  Time to retire Tiny Tom!

I believe that the…

I believe that the quarantine is supposed to end after next weekend, so we will miss the Northwestern game (away) and then play Illinois at home on the 11th.  I really think we should revisit this and look at how we are doing against the virus and try to fit the NW game in.  I really don't want to be off until the 11th and then have to face Illinois with a lot of rust on our wheels!

Looking forward to an…

I watched Texas lose to Texas Tech last night.  Along the way, they surrendered a 10-point halftime lead and both teams look like garbage.  Texas is still cheating and still soft.  How are they not under any kind of NCAA penalty with all the crap they pulled with Mo Bamba?

With Brooks, Smith, and…

With Brooks, Smith, and Brown all having an additional year of eligibility, I would welcome them all back!  It might hurt the development of the incoming recruits and the younger players, but that would be a hell of a team!
