I feel like we should curate a list of NFL rumors Harbaugh has said "no" to. When they come up again as the NFL carousel wheel spins, we can just point to the chart, and say "asked and answered."
Giants? Not sure on rumors for that one
|6 weeks 5 days ago||Irvin||
Every time he pulls up for a long 2 off the dribble, he should be benched. If it's actually on the curl that's fine.
Walton and Irvin were supposed to be Keith Appling and Denzel Valentine at least as seniors, they aren't even close.

NFL tools with 2 years of Harbaugh. It might be worth 4 extra wins the last two years...
I often think Iman Marshall and Conley too
|8 weeks 1 day ago||Tanq||
Tanq is the signpost. It's your replacement level gin so to speak.
Valentine's Liberator Gin was a game changer for me. It's a local Detroit product. I had it in martini, and I finally understood gin. This was drinking Bombay, Tanq, Beefeater some others.
Even after discovering it, I looked for other gins. Nothing suits my palate better than Valentine's. After 3 or 4 of these purchases, I wondered why I was trying to replace Valentine's.
Most gin drinks you are fine with Tanq or Beef, Straight or martini, it better be decent. Valentine's is my go to

has a nice flavor profile.
I recommend Aviator Gin as a great gin . that is little less botannical but not overkill gin taste.

But why waste good stuff, when feeling so horrible?
|8 weeks 1 day ago||Masochist||
We lost on bullshit. I feel I should feel like the players..
Therefore alteranating Mescal, with shit Ron Burgundy Scotch (god its horrid). It does get a laugh though.
JW Blue is for closers ( had a bottle ready).

So I think they cut and pasted. And there's the exact wording of the jump from MGOBLog
And there's no jump to be had on MnB.

Is Adam cool with Maize N Brew copy and pasting this word for word?
If so, my apologies.

NCAA has the 2 pointer from the 3 and I said the ball is placed at the 2, I was wrong: It's the 1 for PI in the endzone.
I'm sure it woud mean a lot of strategy. But if I was a coach, I definitely wouldn't teach that for that fear unless you knew you were beat. Which in the NCAA, is good strategy anytime.
It's such a specialized incident, I don't know whether its worth a rule change. Resetting the clock would be easy enough, I'm surprised the NFL hasn't done it already.
|11 weeks 5 days ago||Yep||
You are right, you might as well committ defensive penalties if you are beaten the last play of the half. When the ball is placed on the 16 or out
However, some PI was risky, since if you place the ball at the 2 at a Pi in the end zone, there's a chance the team goes for it. Even with 6 seconds or whatever.
Simple solution is to add the time back on the clock back to the previous play. So the defensive penalty is yardage and time.

But I know Vegas sees lots of action on all Michigan games.
In the Bo years and even more in the Carr years, they had a pretty horrible record against the spread.
I had non Michigan fans joke to me, that they love Michigan they make a ton of money on them not covering.
|12 weeks 1 day ago||Crab people||
I think many of the Crab people are legitimate fans who placed wagers on Michigan and are sore Michigan doesn't cover.
It was true in the Carr years, I think it's true now
|12 weeks 4 days ago||The only ones that care about Depth Charts||
The only ones that care about depth charts are the media. It allows them to be lazy.
They never have to do any kind of research on an opponent.
If you think the coaches even bother looking at them, when in the NCAA, you don't announce injuries and would rely on it, then you need your head examined.
You could take Ace's FFFF and create your own two deep. I would hope the coaches spend more time on film than Ace does. (No offense Ace)

I think you're changing the outcome by measuring it.
|13 weeks 1 day ago||Rutgers/Illinois blowouts||
It was obvious Harbaugh called off the dogs earlier than Rutgers.
Also, Illinois didn't quit.
Crazy theory: Harbuagh wanted to make sure Rutgers and TV networks don't schedule a night game there again. It's got to be a pain to travel and get back early Sunday.
Make the game unappealing,and get home by 11 PM Saturday.

Am I the only one that is disappointed this post isn't a theoretical physics question. Deep in theory and nuance?
I'll quit drinking and go to bed..

Don't give him too much credit. It's a line from a old Simpsons episode.

Barring crazy scenarios, the CFPC will have a relatively easy choice.
ACC- Clemson- Clemson would have to lose twice* before their title game. At Florida State is only real chance
SEC- Alabama, Texas A&M -- Play each other, cmon it's Alabama. Alabama would have to lose twice*.
Big Ten - OSU by your assumption
Pac 12- Washington-- Again would have to lose twice*
Big 12- Baylor-- They are going to lose and be out. Are they even eligible?
I think if Alabama, Clemson or Washington lose a game and still win their conference title game, they get in over us.
With the exception of Alabama, any of these teams have two losses and still win a title we get in. One of those losses would be a bad loss to a unranked or almost unranked team.
Now the interesting case, is if Alabama, Clemson or Washington run the regular season and lose their title game. Alabama it would be Florida or Tennessee. Volunteer team would have a loss to Alabama already.
Clemson would be a Virginia Tech, Miami, North Carolina loss.
Washington would be to USC, Colorado, or Utah. They would have wins over 2 of them all would have 2 plus losses.
The committee would have to choose between a 1 loss Michigan team who lost their last game and a 1 loss conference runner up who also lost their last game but played an extra game.
Good luck parsing schedules. My opinion: 1 loss Bama and Clemson gets in over us. We get in over Washington.
Of course depending on our showing at Ohio State, and Wisconsin losing only to OSU the rest of the season.
Rooting interests: Go Colorado, Wisconsin, Penn State
Anyone playing Clemson, Washington or Baylor.

It's not a simple as getting a guy with a big leg. If it was, any number of players on the soccer team could help.
It's the timing, its hard to kick consistantly that quickly. Soccer players have tried and invariably its the rush and short set up that makes it difficult.
|16 weeks 5 days ago||I agree||
The polls weren't and aren't going to change though. BCS was a disaster, they changed their formula every year.
I believe the AP dropped out of it, because at least the press knew it was flawed.
I don't think the CFP takes into account the polls. Lets me honest, only the last one matters. If they do, the final polls are usually decently legitimate.
The basketball committee has been ignoring the polls for years.
|16 weeks 5 days ago||Thanks||
I apologize for the typos. I was being handed a 11 month old and a bottle as I was finishing up.
|16 weeks 5 days ago||Polls||
Polls were designed to sell papers and bring viewers to games on television.
Why would anyone in the West or South want to watch a Michigan - Notre Dame game? But you put #3 Michigan and #5 Notre Dame and it portends to mean something.
Currently, it is the same. Let say Ole Miss plays South Carolina. Would you watch? Now if I put #19 Ole Miss and #12 South Carolina, it becomes much more interesting to a viewer outside those fanbases.
They are callled the AP, Associated Press,and USA Today Coaches' Poll. They sell papers. If you think of sports section as an although symbiotic free advertisement for the sports teams they cover, it becomes much easier to dismiss. They are symbiotic because they sell the sports teams they cover,and the sports pages used to help selll newspapers.
I'm sure people will suggest no polls until October or November. This isn't realisitc because it flies in the face of the exact reason of their existence.
Since, they are inherently flawed, there is no fixing them.
|17 weeks 20 hours ago||Eh...She probably didn't want to be there||
She probably didn't want to be there. This was a convenient excuse. She avoids traffic and gets home early.
I'm a partial season ticket holder of the Tigers behind the net. Family of 4 sits next to us. Everything's fine.
After about 1 inning, one of the kids, after eating a ton of sugar etc. Starts being a kid between 4-7. Asking questions, pointing at vendors etc. Mostly about the game or people around asking for cotton candy. Being a kid stuff
After about 3 minutes of this, the Mom says "That's it, We're leaving, You're not paying attention" I think it was middle of the 2nd.
He was really just being a kid, and actually was paying attention.

This comes from Tennesse increasing Nyland Field over Michigan Stadium in 1999 ish. We responded by immmediately increasing our capacity.
The rumor was we even sent blueprints for a 2nd deck at Michigan Stadium, if they got too riduculous. Cold war style.
This is "20 years in the making" has been ESPNtagline. Basically piece the puzzle together.
Michigan doesn need spectacle. It needs home and home wins vs. ND, and SEC and Pac 10 foes.
I'm imprssed camera angles are pretty good.
|19 weeks 1 day ago||Agree||
This start just screwed me in a very competitve high money h2h playoff league.
However, how can you pull him?
85 pitches, I know blister. But obviously not a huge deal for him. And not a realtively competive game.
Give up a hit. Pull him. Before that? Bullshit
So. When its 3-2 game are you going to pull him at 85 pitches? Even in a pennant race?
Plus his reaction, you think he's going to resign with the Dodgers or give a flying fuck about that organization going forward?
Managing is not a video game. These are people you deal with, not spreadsheets.
I do agree with the sabermetric crowd, however I think especialy with pitchers and pens "my arm feels like shit today" happens more often than people care to think///

We just bought 2 years of tuition at today's prices for any Michigan Public School for our 10 month old.
They have pay as you go (pay when and how much you want)and monthly installments as well.
Yes, its not great if your kid ends up at a private school or out of state. And you can't use it for room and board. But most 529 plans won't have enough in them to cover it either
Both my wife and I were MET kids, my dad claims he bought 4 years of Michigan tuition for 5k in 1985 for me when I was 7. In 1998-2002, when I went to Michigan, I think Tuition for the 4 years was around 30K in state. Calls it the best investment he ever made.
My wife's parents have a similar story. Although she has still 170K in student loans.
For those with student loans at 6.5%, look into SOFI. We were able to get them into a variable through them at 3%

In the same section he was, 4 rows down from him.
Seemed super nice. 3 were deflections off the media boxes. 2 of them in the same AB.
One of the other two short hopped the walkway area to him.
The last one he caught on the fly. All of these with a glove.
He said he got 35 last year.
He gave all to kids.
All of them were straight to him, even the sparse crowd, he didn't move from his space much.
Crazy, by the end of the game, people were getting their picture taken with him.
