UCLA has been dirty for 50 years.
Yes, John Wooden's teams were bought and paid for.
However, when the system is that ingrained, the coach just knows what is going on behind the scenes. He doesn't have to direct anything or even acknoweledge it,
Iowa thing is bad. However, something that happend 3 jobs ago is forgotten. Fair or not.
|1 week 3 days ago||Fair point,||
I shouldn't have put it on Wagner, you are dead correct. Its the inconsistency of getting Wilson and Wagner the ball on the mistmatch.
|1 week 3 days ago||Homer..||
Walton and Wagner are playing at a NBA level on the pick and roll.
The answer since Purdue is to to switch it. So far Walton was Most Valuable Player of the Big Ten Tourney and now Wagner with the easiest 26 points he's ever gotten.
Louisville has it right though. Switch it, have bigs good enough to contain Walton, which wow they are super athletic, and make Wagner beat you. Wagner hasn't shown this consistency down low all season.
It would have worked if Louisvillle had some sense of offense. Their whole offense was jack it up and hope for a rebound.
The medicre coach way is to get Wagner and Wilson in foul trouble.

Miami had the same gameplan has MSU football vs. Michigan. Overprepared for 10 minutes and hope afterwards.
Miami is horrible, remember somehow a better team than OK state,Wichita St etc.
I forgot about St Patrick's day...So the bottle of Red Breast went untouched
First drink, Dirty Tanquaray Martini (I know)
2nd....Wood aged Maple Maker's Mark Manhattan over Luxardo cherries
3rd...Perfect Rob Roy.. Famous Grouse

Man, I was so pumped to open this and see black Jordan socks maybe with a block M somewhere.
Shut up and take my money!
But then these, which at 37 I can literally wear at no time.
I am disappoint.

I feel like we should curate a list of NFL rumors Harbaugh has said "no" to. When they come up again as the NFL carousel wheel spins, we can just point to the chart, and say "asked and answered."
Giants? Not sure on rumors for that one
|16 weeks 1 day ago||Irvin||
Every time he pulls up for a long 2 off the dribble, he should be benched. If it's actually on the curl that's fine.
Walton and Irvin were supposed to be Keith Appling and Denzel Valentine at least as seniors, they aren't even close.
|16 weeks 4 days ago||Kizer||
NFL tools with 2 years of Harbaugh. It might be worth 4 extra wins the last two years...
I often think Iman Marshall and Conley too
|17 weeks 4 days ago||Tanq||
Tanq is the signpost. It's your replacement level gin so to speak.
Valentine's Liberator Gin was a game changer for me. It's a local Detroit product. I had it in martini, and I finally understood gin. This was drinking Bombay, Tanq, Beefeater some others.
Even after discovering it, I looked for other gins. Nothing suits my palate better than Valentine's. After 3 or 4 of these purchases, I wondered why I was trying to replace Valentine's.
Most gin drinks you are fine with Tanq or Beef, Straight or martini, it better be decent. Valentine's is my go to
|17 weeks 4 days ago||Fine Gin||
has a nice flavor profile.
I recommend Aviator Gin as a great gin . that is little less botannical but not overkill gin taste.

But why waste good stuff, when feeling so horrible?

And there's no jump to be had on MnB.

NCAA has the 2 pointer from the 3 and I said the ball is placed at the 2, I was wrong: It's the 1 for PI in the endzone.
I'm sure it woud mean a lot of strategy. But if I was a coach, I definitely wouldn't teach that for that fear unless you knew you were beat. Which in the NCAA, is good strategy anytime.
It's such a specialized incident, I don't know whether its worth a rule change. Resetting the clock would be easy enough, I'm surprised the NFL hasn't done it already.
|21 weeks 9 hours ago||Yep||
You are right, you might as well committ defensive penalties if you are beaten the last play of the half. When the ball is placed on the 16 or out
However, some PI was risky, since if you place the ball at the 2 at a Pi in the end zone, there's a chance the team goes for it. Even with 6 seconds or whatever.
Simple solution is to add the time back on the clock back to the previous play. So the defensive penalty is yardage and time.

But I know Vegas sees lots of action on all Michigan games.
In the Bo years and even more in the Carr years, they had a pretty horrible record against the spread.
I had non Michigan fans joke to me, that they love Michigan they make a ton of money on them not covering.
|21 weeks 4 days ago||Crab people||
I think many of the Crab people are legitimate fans who placed wagers on Michigan and are sore Michigan doesn't cover.
It was true in the Carr years, I think it's true now
|21 weeks 6 days ago||The only ones that care about Depth Charts||
The only ones that care about depth charts are the media. It allows them to be lazy.
They never have to do any kind of research on an opponent.
If you think the coaches even bother looking at them, when in the NCAA, you don't announce injuries and would rely on it, then you need your head examined.
You could take Ace's FFFF and create your own two deep. I would hope the coaches spend more time on film than Ace does. (No offense Ace)

It was obvious Harbaugh called off the dogs earlier than Rutgers.
Also, Illinois didn't quit.
Crazy theory: Harbuagh wanted to make sure Rutgers and TV networks don't schedule a night game there again. It's got to be a pain to travel and get back early Sunday.
Make the game unappealing,and get home by 11 PM Saturday.

Don't give him too much credit. It's a line from a old Simpsons episode.
|24 weeks 3 days ago||Barring Crazy scenarios.||
Barring crazy scenarios, the CFPC will have a relatively easy choice.
ACC- Clemson- Clemson would have to lose twice* before their title game. At Florida State is only real chance
SEC- Alabama, Texas A&M -- Play each other, cmon it's Alabama. Alabama would have to lose twice*.
Big Ten - OSU by your assumption
Pac 12- Washington-- Again would have to lose twice*
Big 12- Baylor-- They are going to lose and be out. Are they even eligible?
I think if Alabama, Clemson or Washington lose a game and still win their conference title game, they get in over us.
With the exception of Alabama, any of these teams have two losses and still win a title we get in. One of those losses would be a bad loss to a unranked or almost unranked team.
Now the interesting case, is if Alabama, Clemson or Washington run the regular season and lose their title game. Alabama it would be Florida or Tennessee. Volunteer team would have a loss to Alabama already.
Clemson would be a Virginia Tech, Miami, North Carolina loss.
Washington would be to USC, Colorado, or Utah. They would have wins over 2 of them all would have 2 plus losses.
The committee would have to choose between a 1 loss Michigan team who lost their last game and a 1 loss conference runner up who also lost their last game but played an extra game.
Good luck parsing schedules. My opinion: 1 loss Bama and Clemson gets in over us. We get in over Washington.
Of course depending on our showing at Ohio State, and Wisconsin losing only to OSU the rest of the season.
Rooting interests: Go Colorado, Wisconsin, Penn State
Anyone playing Clemson, Washington or Baylor.
|25 weeks 3 days ago||Kicking a NCAA level FG isn't easy||
It's not a simple as getting a guy with a big leg. If it was, any number of players on the soccer team could help.
It's the timing, its hard to kick consistantly that quickly. Soccer players have tried and invariably its the rush and short set up that makes it difficult.
|26 weeks 1 day ago||I agree||
The polls weren't and aren't going to change though. BCS was a disaster, they changed their formula every year.
I believe the AP dropped out of it, because at least the press knew it was flawed.
I don't think the CFP takes into account the polls. Lets me honest, only the last one matters. If they do, the final polls are usually decently legitimate.
The basketball committee has been ignoring the polls for years.
