I played against John Tavares when he played for the Oshawa Generals fro 2005-2007, and with Steven Stamkos when I played for the Sarnia Sting for a couples years. Technically it is junior league but it was damn cool. On a side note I barely played and both of these individuals were signifigantly better than me.

Shanahan is an idiot. I hate the blackhawks and still think the Shaw suspension is way over the top. 

1. Shaw obviously did not mean to hit Mike Smith and was only trying to make a "hockey play"

2. Shaw is very lucky he didn't get a concussion ( I got one years back on a similar play) goalie helmets protect the head a hell of a lot better than player helmets. He was going for the puck, as was the goalie, and happen to go helmet to helmet. That play should have tops been a five minute penalty.

This is beating a dead horse but Shea Webber should have been suspended. If Ian White did the same thing in the same scenerio he would have been suspended.

Calkner one game suspension is laughable, and if Asham gets anything less than five (won't matter Pitt/Philly is going max 5) that will be a joke.

Neal won't get suspended for trying to take out Sean Couterier and Claude Giroux.

I see your point. I wasn't including the D men covering since they often cover the attack at all times. At least the D on my team are told to shadow as soon as the ball crosses half. In that case 10 man rides occur most of the game.

And no, I play long stick middie in college and I'm in on most face-offs, I sub in a majority of the time when in our defensive zone, and my coach has some play for me offensively (not many). I'm also in alot at the end (if we are down and it's close) of games to create turnovers.

You will never see a 10 man ride in a lacrosse game. The most you'll see is a 8 man ride, Which includes the attack, middies, and two defensemen pressing the half line. The keep and one D will always stay back to prevent long breaks. One thing I noticed is in close games near the end, a long stick middie will be inserted in order to create turnovers. Having a 10 man press is asking for a full court goal, which is easier than in basketball, and even if you don't score would waste a ton of time.

MI high schools do 7 on 7 leagues, I played in one a few years back prior to my senior year. While they weren't directly affiliated with the high school my coach set up the roster and everything, also we played alot of other high schools that did the same including our rival that initially refused to play us cuz he was implimenting new plays and didn't want our team to see them prior to our game in the fall.

Edit: I agree with jmblue that is likely why there is no connection between the high school and these leagues, thats why we used our mascot instead of our school name

The issue I have would be with the posture, as at least to me, looks like niether Morris (go pilots) or Richardson are standing up straight. So that should add an inch or so to the measurements. With that my guess would be T-Rich is somewhere between 68 and 70 inches and Morris is likely 74 by the looks of the picture.
