11 weeks 1 day ago	Three things stick out to me	Three things stick out to me that are a bit at odds with what we know about the rest of the staff: 1) answering why with "because I said so" is the exact opposite of why players have said they enjoy playing for our staff, who seem to historically take the time to explain so players actually understand what they're doing 2) he made it pretty obvious that Speight is the starter, and while that might be a given, it hasn't stopped other coaches from giving us coach speak that all players are in the running for a starting spot and that everything has to be earned regardless of what you did yesterday, last season, etc. This isn't necessarily a bad thing--just a difference. 3) I feel like our coaches have emphasized developing relationships with players more than what he indicated (for example, waiting to get to know Speight until later when they have more time). That being said, the first thing Harbaugh did when he met Morris was ask him how he took a snap, so maybe this isn't too far out of the norm. I could just be remembering Hoke's father-figure approach and talking about the team being his sons. Regardless, I'm eager to see how this all plays out. Pep obviously has the coaching pedigree to be successful--I'll be keeping an eye on the cultural fit and if that has an impact on performance on the field.

We would obviously need to win out. If the three teams currently directly ahead of us lose out (Northwestern, State, Minnesota), we get in at 4. I guess it's possible for us to still get a 4 seed if one of them loses, but I didn't check that. I also didn't look at stealing a spot from Purdue, Wisconsin, or Maryland). It doesn't give odds, but I guess you could multiply KenPom's probability of all those events happening in our favor and get your number.
