Basketball on grass!!  Or 2…

Basketball on grass!!  Or 2 potent offenses dualing each other?

Can we have nice things too?

We have the D, the players on O, what’s missing?!

Damn, the commentators and…

Damn, the commentators and the defense quit.

Let’s GO BLUE!

Let’s GO BLUE!

FucK Stepaniak, molest…

FucK Stepaniak, molest-stache looking fool.

I grew up a Pacers fan…

I grew up a Pacers fan during the Reggie years and the brawl killed the NBA for me..  I watched that game live and couldn’t believe what I was seeing.

Lions fan when Barry was there, converted to Colts when Jim was there up until Lucks injury and the Hokesque Pagano years.  Pro sports just doesn’t scratch that itch for me.

Give me M football and hoops all day.  I don’t watch many games outside of them, but that Purdue woodshed beatdown last weekend, affirms college>all.

Harbaugh knows talent, Bo…

Harbaugh knows talent, Bo knows baseball.

Holy shit pick 6 to twist…

Holy shit pick 6 to twist that dagger!!!

Higdon, Evans, Shea, Tru and…

Higdon, Evans, Shea, Tru and Bench all day

AP or Coaches, soundly…

AP or Coaches, soundly beating the next 2 states would be sweeter than any ranking!  Go BLUE!

On to State!  Let’s smack…

On to State!  Let’s smack them down in EL!

He’s a beast.  Look forward…

He’s a beast.  Look forward to his utilization on short yardage and red zone situations!

And we thought our punting…

And we thought our punting game was suspect at the start of the season!  Here’s to having the weapon and hopefully not needing it!

To add to that..

As much as…

To add to that..

As much as I loved the 3 consecutive shutouts in ‘15 and the 6 ass whoopins in 16, that matters, not much, if the rest of your body of work is less than stellar.

Must win, but a blowout doesn’t matter if we can’t win down the road.

As long as we score more…

As long as we score more than them and don’t look like shit in the process.

I’m curious by your username…

I’m curious by your username, not thee columbus, but IN Columbus, if so I’ll buy you some rounds.

Damn the troll fest is…

Damn the troll fest is strong!!

We were out coached tonight and the team wasn’t ready, but we smashed Ped State 2 years ago and they won the conference.

The 24-17 score doesn’t reflect the ass whipping we took, but the we have the rest of the season upon us.

I’m pissed as fuck but not thrusting pitchforks up.  And fuck what the media says.

If the O doesn’t improve dramatically especially line play, by mid season, my tune might change

I’m not happy about tonight’s play, but who the fuck better can we possibly get at the helm better then Coach.  I just wish he’d try to implement less of an NFL strategy in a college game.

GO BLUE.

Go BLUE!! Can’t wait to see this season unfold!

Have we not been dealt the…

Have we not been dealt the best hand?  Sure.

I must be alone in saying, “Fuck it”, to be the best you have to beat the best.  It’s always fun to scrimmage on some cupcakes.  If the team is challenged by tough regular season foes, and can win or lose a couple close battles, that makes a stronger argument to make the CFP.

Not only that, but you have a team that has faced solid competition all year, that only makes them more prepared for the likes of Bama, Clemson or GA.

Indeed!

That right Shea, now is your time to light it up at an honorable institution!

Wrong Labron too.

Best fast food I've had is Best fast food I've had is Whataburger. Love that chain. Wish they expanded North. Culver's is pretty solid too. Although In-N-Out was good, I think it's grossly overrated. I've had it in CA, AZ and Vegas. Chick-Fil-A is not bad but overrated as well. In the South, Bojangles is a pretty good FF chicken chain. As is Zaxbys. Raising Canes is not bad either. In Texas, Rudy's BBQ chains are pretty solid as well. I do miss Schlotzsky's Deli. They used to have one in Bloomington and South Indy I'd frequent occasionally. EDIT: Fast food for the most part is unhealthy. But in the end, anything you eat just forms a turd.
I'm in the it's the coaching I'm in the it's the coaching and playbook arena that is lacking. To me, Coach, Pep and Drev are trying to implement a Pro style offense with mostly fresh out of HS players. Produce a game plan to compliment the players you have, don't force them into a mold that isn't ready yet.
Great pass from O'korn to Great pass from O'korn to Perry... Perry mistimed his jump.
Role call You'll love Columbus (IN). I've lived their almost my entire life. Right now there are art installations all over town celebrating our small towns love of architecture. I've attended the last 2 games at IU, up in the air if I'll be at this one. Not many bars close to Memorial, but they have a friendly tailgating scene.
'You play in dirt, you get 'You play in dirt, you get dirty.' - McNulty to Bodie. And fuck that roid ragin' Nick Holt.
DPJ needs to watch some film on Peppers. Not to be as prolific as he was, but to not be afraid to fair catch a short punt with pursuit imminent. If memory serves me correct, Jabrill muffed maybe one punt. Call fair catch and use those hands or get the fuck out of the way and vocalize to your teammates.
I must be in the minority But I have faith in our staff and young team that greatness can still be achieved. It's only 2 games in, with a young team and somewhat of a staff mixup. But shit will be addressed and I am hopeful going forward. It's not like we played 2 FCS teams and completely shit the bed. We didn't lose to Utah and have no major injuries. I am guilty of being all too optimistic about this year and smashing teams early. We don't have a cupcake non-conference schedule! A (weak) SEC division champ then 2 FBS schools. And next year we renew the Notre Dame rivalry. We have to be on some bigger picture shit. It's not like Austin Peay or Toledo played us to the wire. Adjustments will be made and the ship will be steered. Speight may still be shook from his injury last season and the battle to keep his starting spot. In retrospect, my faith in the team and our leader has not wavered. It wasn't but a few years ago we weren't even in contention for a National Championship yet alone a B10 title. Too early to sound the alarm... Everyone was high on Butgers last week... GO BLUE
Speight's second pick, his Speight's second pick, his line of sight was obstructed by the rush he had coming. Not the best decision but the D made and Nordin made up for it. I thought the overthrow to Crawford was worse then the 2 picks. Wil seemed to have a few confidence issues, but he'll iron them out. First game against a non cupcake, after a QB gladiator battle. He's our guy. Running game looks stout. Balanced with speed, power, pass protection, and the pass threat. O-line looked solid and the tight ends did their job. Silly penalty on Perry early on spinning the ball, but he made some good grabs to make up for it. A little surface rust on the spine, but still made of steel. Go BLUE!
Bush a beast.. Metellus Bush a beast.. Metellus impressed. The D held it down.

Making It Podcast - with Jimmy Diresta, Bob Claggett (I Like to Make Stuff) and David Picciuoto (formally The Drunken Woodworker, now Make Something) .  Love their YouTube content and contribution to the maker community.  If you like to build things, woodwork, weld, design etc, great podcast and video content for info/entertainment.  I know one of the bright minds in the Mgo world is familiar with these guys/community.

Reclaimed Audio Podcast - podcast dedicated to making with primarily reclaimed materials.

The occasional CalCast.  Only after hearing Coach on his show.

I was conceived in the UP...

and was born in Indiana.  Michigan football has been a mainstay since I can remember sport.  Plus I'm a woodworker and I've made my avatar many times over for gifts to loved ones and fans.

Glasgow!!!

I have a fond memory of him

I have a fond memory of him making the game ending PBU in the shootout in Bloomington against IU in 15.  Glad to see all our guys making it to the next level!!!

Many people here in South Many people here in South central IN put peanut butter in their chili. I haven't been adventurous enough to try it.
I'd recommend it,

But yes, Calipari is a narcascit and it is apparent throughout the interview.  Coach is a good sport and near the end you can tell he is happy to be finished.

However, they do have respect for each other despite their similar, but different personalities.  John shares love for the Harbaugh family and talks about a few things in his past that are slightly humbling.

I enjoyed hearing our Coaches stories despite being constantly cut off by John.

Despite Calipari's persona and the stigma of Kentucky BB, he at least seems to respect Coach and think highly of the things he's doing for the university.

I LOVIE the results of this

I LOVIE the results of this glorious Saturday!!!

I'm 33 so just on the cusp of

I'm 33 so just on the cusp of 35+ crowd.  I feel I relate more to that demographic then most of my peers and younger.

Family is all from the UP, moved just south of Indy and grew up there.  Growing up it was M football, IU bball, Lions until Sanders retired and from the time Harbaugh was on the Colts to this day.  Tigers fan in my heart but baseball just doesn't rate for me anymore.  The steroid crap after the McGwire and Bonds HR chase ruined baseball for me.

The Pacers were solid in the 90s and early 00s, not championship caliber, but a force to be reckon with.  The Brawl in 03 killed the NBA for me.  Bobby Knight's firing waned my interest in college hoops.

Peyton Manning to the Colts ignited my passion for them, and Michigan was solid til Carr's departure.  I had shed a few tears of joy when they won the Super Bowl in the 06 season.  I was pissed when they released Peyton, but Luck is not a bad successor.  I'd rather have him then 28 of the other NFL starters.  The Colts carried my football spirits many times during our dark years of recent past.  Jim Irsay is not much better then Jerry Jones imo, and Grigson is comparable to Brandon on a managerial level as far as competence.  Pagano, nice guy, average coach, but no fire to him, to bland.  Polar opposite of Coach Jim.  Should have kept Arians, the non PC move would have only stung for a year or so.

The Rich Rod and Hoke was rough but still caught every game.  Denard was fun to watch, but as we all know, one beast can't carry a team.  My love of Michigan has never been stronger and it is very nostalgic seeing the direction of the program like it was growing up.

Summary:

Yes it has waned.  I always catch MI games either on TV or radio if busy.  Tune In radio is the shit.  Colts games are less important, but try to catch them when I can.

The only other sporting events I may make time to watch is either the World Cup or the NCAA tourney.

Been to several IU-M games at

Been to several IU-M games at Memorial.  Not a bad experience for a BB school... cheap tickets, solid tailgating scene.  The Fuuuuurst Down Hooooooosiers bit gets old after every 1st down.

This years past game was a good game, sloppy defensively, but entertaining.  Maize and Blue was represented very well!

IU's few true FB fans are classy and good sports.  Students, not so much.  IMO they're gone by halftime regardless of the score.  And back in '10, when Denard went down with a knee injury, those booger eating morons cheered.

After that game some IU coed heckled my group, all decked out in M gear.  She slurred "Ann Arbor has gonorrhea!"

OT:

Camp Randall

Happy Valley

MSU - for comparision sake

Ohio Stadium

Maybe Boise State (if M were to play them)

Non NCAAF

Lambeau

Camp Nou

Another hockey game at Big House
