Nope. Both cases (burger and…

Nope. Both cases (burger and signs) are still open and ongoing. Hope is that the NCAA does accept both self imposed punishments but there’s no guarantee.

And it’s the third or fourth…

And it’s the third or fourth depth chart post in the past few days. Hell, there’s still one on the front page.

Oh man. Sorry to hear that…

Oh man. Sorry to hear that. When we left the mall about 20 mins ago the line was still insane. From one end of the north mall to the other, and yes, then snaking outside. It would take 2-3 more hours to get through.

Just made it through the…

Just made it through the line. Blake is awesome! The amount of toys is insane. I’d say closer to 10,000 people. The line stretched from one end of the mall to the other.

Also got to briefly meet Junior Colson. All these guys are so humble and gracious.

My boys, 9 and 8, thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Seemed like it with early sundown, but it was a 3:30 start.

But we have 5 wins over…

But we have 5 wins over teams above .500. Not 4. You forgot Bowling Green, sitting at 6-4 with a win themselves over a Power 5 team.

I don't disagree with the rest of your post, but our schedule is not nearly as bad as the national narrative suggests.

Well, crap. That's what I…

Well, crap. That's what I get for jumping into the posting game. I'll take my lumps and go back to being a lurker.

Word for word what I was…

Word for word what I was going to say, so I second this comment. Be nice to look forward to this every week!

With the injuries the…

With the injuries the Raiders defense has and the fact they got beat down by the Bears, I’m laying more points tonight and taking Lions -9.5. Teased the total down to 40.5 and took the over for a nice +190 parlay.

Let’s go!!!

That looks like SeatGeek to…

That looks like SeatGeek to me. But all of the major re-sellers have options to display all-in prices. SeatGeek is my go-to for events, typically 10-15% cheaper than Stubhub or Vivid.

Peacock ended their free…

Peacock ended their free tier a while back in January. I've heard differing things (and even in this thread) about some folks on traditional cable plans still having access. But the free tier is no more as something new customers can buy.

100% agree. But it's still…

100% agree. But it's still college football and it is the opening weekend, so I was just pointing that out to OP, that what he/she called opening weekend is actually the second weekend of football. :)

Remember, that’s not opening…

Remember, that’s not opening weekend. College football starts the week before. Weak slate this year in Week 0, but that’s the opening weekend.

Maybe a little bit of an…

Maybe a little bit of an overreaction. But not much. He’s still young enough to cement GOAT status, and what he did last night is unprecedented.

First male fighter in history to be undisputed in two different weight classes.

He’s been one of the most talked about boxers for at least a decade. Can’t speak to why you’ve never heard of him, but he’s the real deal.

@Amazinblu: It's not just…

@Amazinblu: It's not just California not requiring SAT/ACT scores. It's most of the Big Ten now. including Michigan. Been that way for a couple of years. I am not saying reporting SAT/ACT doesn't help, just that you do not need to when applying to U-M.

Also drizzly here in Troy…

Also drizzly here in Troy. Both my boys (9 and 7) had friends over this evening and I promised s'mores (earlier in the week before looking at the forecast). It took a little bit of lighter fluid, but we got ourselves a nice fire.

Drinking a Founders West Coast IPA. A little wet but watching my boys have fun outside makes it all worth it.

Happy weekend, all.

You are 100% correct on both…

You are 100% correct on both points. But as I said earlier in this thread, Nebraska was an AAU member when asked to join the Big Ten and accepted the offer. There were rumors then that they may be kicked out, but it was still quite a surprise when they were.

You nailed it. But to be…

You nailed it. But to be clear, Nebraska was an AAU when they joined the Big Ten. They were removed after.

At that time and up to now, the Big Ten presidents have been clear that any member of the conference would need to be an AAU member to be invited.

No, their guesses are not…

No, their guesses are not more credible. Plus it’s over a week old. That’s ages ago when it comes to the draft. CJ Stroud going number 1? That hasn’t been predicted for weeks.

LB, hope your head is in the best spot it can be. Sorry for your loss.

A synopsis on what's out…

A synopsis on what's out there in case anyone wants to read it: I've been tracking the four main reseller sites since Saturday: Stubhub, SeatGeek, VividSeats and Ticketsmarter (which is the official resale partner of the Big Ten).

We have 3 people, so it makes it a bit tougher as most tix are sold in groups of 2 or 4. But here's what I've seen:

  • The cheapest tickets (end zone 600 level) started about $225-$250 overnight Saturday into Sunday.
  • They dropped Sunday throughout the day, to the point that I pulled the trigger. Using VividSeats and a cyber Monday code (it was "cyber" in case it still works for anyone), we got 3 tickets in Sec. 635, Row 7, on the sideline, for $186 out the door with all fees (remember when you search to search w/ fees on; a $150 ticket will go for $180-$210 depending on the site).
  • Since then, tickets have stayed fairly flat; some singles are going for cheaper but for the most part they have ticked up, if anything. For example, as of 9:30 a.m. EST Tuesday, the cheapest pair at any of the main re-sellers is going for $185 each. But there are not many at that price point. Most are over $200.
  • The Ticketmaster tickets you're seeing are resale tickets; so those are all above face value. The resale option just opened yesterday, which is why you're seeing so many tickets flooding the Ticketmaster site. Remember, there will be fees there as well; a $170 ticket is actually about $200.
  • In general, it is smart to wait. But with needing an odd number of 3 tickets, I went against my own advice and locked in as I said. So far, it was a smart move. When tickets are going for $100 out the door on Friday/Saturday, I am sure I will feel different.

Good luck to everyone looking for tickets!

We got three in sec 635, row 7, for $186 each. Goal line. Used vivid seats and a cyber coupon that got me $25 off. Tix already transferred and in my Ticketmaster account.

I’m usually a big fan of waiting to buy tickets for events until day before or day of, but needing three together was already proving to be a little tough.

Remember to search "with…

Remember to search "with fees" on. The cheapest ticket on SeatGeek right now is a single ticket for $178. For 2 tix, it's $185. Just FYI.

Don't forget to check AirBnB…

Don't forget to check AirBnB and VRBO. We landed a small, 2-bedroom house just under one mile from the stadium for $320 out the door last night. Great reviews and looks nice. Walking distance so we don't have to worry about parking or enjoying a few beers and driving. I just checked AirBnB and there's a condo about the same distance going for $380. 3 bedrooms, 8 guests.

I was born in '78, so take that for whatever it's worth as far as recency bias.

To me it's a clear #1: Wheatley.

No. 2 is close, but I'd go Mike Hart with a slight edge over Chris Perry. Perry carrying the ball 51 times against MSU in the rain in East Lansing was one of the best performances I've ever seen in person. But Hart did it for 4 years and was so damn reliable.

I was just sitting here…

I was just sitting here wondering if I should make the drive down to Detroit for Royal Blood tonight or go west to Pontiac for Jawbreaker and Lucero.

If you still have them, I’ll take 2. Royal Blood put on a damn good show. Email is [email protected]

Incorrect. Only top seed gets a bye.

The actual order can be…

The actual order can be found here: https://www.washtenaw.org/3246/Health-Orders. As with other counties that did this, like Ingham, students can still go to work, class and play their respective sports.

That's wrong. If you look, they list multiple games at 1 p.m. Just not updated yet. I am looking at the email the Big Ten just sent out. It's noon.

Tickets are well below face...

Even with Stubhub service fee you can get a pair for $66/each or a single for $74. Wow.

What about e-delivery?

I also see on Stubhub that many of the cheaper tickets are for electronic delivery; is that legit for U-M tix? I've only ever had/seen hard tickets.

Thanks.
