Idk?  Maybe because he's a wolverine, a good guy, and someone who probably dreamt about playing in the NBA since he was a kid.  Other than that you're right though, theres no reason to be happy for him. /s

The call on the K State guy

The call on the K State guy was absurd.  Especially in such an important part of the game.  It would be different if he dougied, but all he did was salute.  Awful call.

Actually...

the "ZOMG HOW AWSOME IS DENARD" stories never really get old for me.  I hope we get plenty more.

Well its no wonder that Denard tore up Indiana's defense...the guy chasing him in that picture only had one leg!

I went to a NY Rangers hockey

I went to a NY Rangers hockey game in 2006 against Ovechkin and the Caps.  The game went into a 15 round shootout that was ended by Marek Malik doing this:

I'm a big fan of this quote,

I'm a big fan of this quote, as my signature would suggest.  I completely agree with the philosophy.  You do whatever you need to do to win.  Winning is the bottom line, especially this season where RRs job could be on the line.  If DG really gives us the best chance to win, or could come in and give a spark that could help us win then I say play him.  if he's not ready to contribute then redshirt and he'll compete for some playing time in the coming years.

The only time i've seen him

The only time i've seen him on Hard Knocks so far was when ST coach Mike Westhoff was praising him for a nice hit and saying that Michigan would have won a few more games if he hit like that last year.

I'm not saying I completely

I'm not saying I completely agree with Revis's argument, but what i really wanted to say is that the Jets as an organization didn't do themselves any help by talking him up so much and then not being so loyal to some players (Leon Washington and Alan Faneca) this past offseason.  He just wants to make sure he'll get his and wont get screwed over if he gets injured like Leon was.  IIRC Leon held out before last season and ended up playing under his original contract instead of working out a new one.  After his injury the Jets dealt him away and he never got more money.

Yeah, I mean if he's not

Yeah, I mean if he's not gonna honor his contract, then all they can do is not pay him.  Its not that big of a problem for Revis because one way or another he will get paid by somebody if the Jets aren't able to reach a middle ground with him.

Typically, I side against the

Typically, I side against the players on contract disputes, but the Jets really dug a hole for themselves after talking him up as being the best CB in the NFL and telling him last season that they would take care of him.  The biggest issue is that they haven't offered him a reasonable amount of guaranteed money.  Ive been hoping they would offer him some sort of one year deal to get him some money this season (his contract this season is under $1 million), and then figure out something long-term once the labor issue is sorted out in the off season.  I guess we'll see what happens though.

I agree.  I'm really excited

I agree.  I'm really excited to have a talented QB who we can have learn under more experienced QBs before being the guy.  The past 2 years its been sink or swim with true freshman with no prior collegiate experience.  I'd really like DG to RS this year.

Thanks for the update.  I was

Thanks for the update.  I was hoping to see how the QBs were looking coming out of this scrimmage and you gave a pretty in depth look.  Glad to hear that some of the young guys are coming along nicely.  At this point even having this and countdown to kickoff in the same day isn't enough.  I need the real thing.  2 weeks!! Let's GOOO!

Edit: Did you happen to take notice of how the starting CBs played or how the secondary looked in general?

I think this is going to be

I think this is going to be the breakout year for Stonum, where he finally lives up to his expectations.  He showed some glimpses of strong play last season and I think he does so more consistently this season.

I dont think it was a mistake

I dont think it was a mistake to give Amar'e the max.  You pay what you gotta pay to get the players you need.  Not only did the knicks need a superstar, but they needed to make a move to show that they are committed to building a better team.  When you have the money its more about getting your guy than worrying about how much youre spending.  Also, if the Knicks didnt give him the max, another team would have.

The statistic at the end

The statistic at the end about how the homicide rate has been cut in half since the Pablo Escobar and PEPEs era....Colombia still has the highest homicide rate in the world.

Also, I really found it interesting to see all that Pablo Escobar did for the people of Colombia and that he was almost as big of a humanitarian as he was a criminal.

Im a big Rangers fan and

Im a big Rangers fan and would be pissed if they traded him.  The Rangers are seriously lacking in scrappy energetic playmakers aside from Gaborik and Hagelin could really help bring some spark back to the team.
