|5 days 4 hours ago||On the Alvarez write up, I saw that 1992 Wisconsin vs. Ohio St.||
game in Madison. For a team that was barely 2-1 that weekend, Camp Randall was frearking sold out! The thing I'll never forget about that game was the keys. People jangling their keys. It was loud as hell. And the slow-mo wave. The UW Student Section was wild as well. Up to that point, it was one of the best college football game experiences I ever had.
For Badger fans, it was a "return to glory" of sorts because in the 1980s UW and Dave McClain was a thorn in the side of Earle Bruce. At one point McClain's Badgers had beaten Ohio State 4 out of 5 seasons: 1981, 1982, 1984 and 1985.
Weird piece of trivia: Alvarez's predecessor Don Morton was from Flint, Michigan. He scrapped Wisconsin's pro offense in 1987 and brought in a Houston (Bill Yeoman) veer option offense and zero defense.

Long-time HC Dave McClain, a good friend of Bo Schembechler, died that April 1986. DC Jim Hilles took over. McClain was an average HC. Wisconsin had beaten Michigan and Ohio State a number of times, but never won more than 7 games in a season since his arrival.
Hilles took the Badgers to 3-9 in 1986 as interim HC and was replaced at season's end by Don Morton (Flint, MI) who brought the veer option offense to Wisconsin 1987.
Morton was a disaster of an HC. Wisconsin went 6-27 over 3 years.
Interesting historical tidbit: McClain was the former Ball State HC who had coached LB Brady Hoke, future UM coach.

You know, sometimes I seriously question the utility or wisdom associated with tweets of this kind from teammates. What's the point? Kick the guy when he's down? Put him in his place? Reminds me of the behavior of female classmates in the 7th grade. They were horrible.

I don't buy that Michigan football can't use a guy like Ondre Pipkins on the front DL in 2015 as a senior in his final season. He is a big, talented player who suffered a lot of injury, and is apparently back to much better health (according to him).
Only a few months before the team's first season game, they hand Pipkins his pink slip as a senior?
Wish him well in his future endeavors, of course. But that's a full force punch in the stomach man.
At the same time, this is not Harbaugh's first rodeo. Michigan football has been soft for almost 10 years now. Harbaugh is coming in, surveying the situation, performing gap analysis. Now come the cut-throat decisions.

Pretty impressive. Hopefully the coaches can develop and improve the upper class talent Michigan already has as well.

There's no way this kid remains a "3-Star" QB.
I suspect he's a Jedi.

State of Texas has no laws restricting resale of tickets, scalping, etc.
So how do they enforce that when usernames "EarlC", "BillBoyBryant" and "ToddDodge" sell their tickets on Ebay?

Jesus, he just dominates the opposition. Much anger in him. Like his Harbaugh.

games in Madison over the years.
They've have a great high school football tradition down there in Hartland (West of Milwaukee). Arrowhead is a Division 1 high school. Nine appearances in last 16 WIAA state finals.

For housing there was a massive influx of easy govt money that anyone could get access to (e.g. stated income loans, etc.). It never ever got repaid. When the music stopped, people couldn't believe that the prices they paid were not real. There is never a shortage of people braying "oh, but with student loans for education it's different!". No it's not.
The only difference I know about is that, unlike unpaid mortgage debt, unpaid student loans can never be expunged by bankruptcy. The govt has you buy the balls. You need education and training to compete and become gainfully employed in the service economy, but tuition, books, residence prices are rising exponentially because its not even your money. It's taxpayer money.
I know a guy that's 44 and still has $94K to pay off in student loans, and there are far worse cases than that. His wife is 40. She has over $100K. Their children are 10 and 12. Everything today really is backasswards to what your parents and grandparents experienced. Millenials/Gen Y's must be like WTF man.
