the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

| 2 days 5 hours ago | This schedule sucks |
Losing Nebraska and Iowa for Maryland and Rutgers. Ugh! The best football team Michigan will play at home in 2014 will probably be Utah or Appalachian State. |

http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/post/_/id/48461/depth-stability-have-spartans-on-the-rise MSU beat Michigan 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 but lost in 2012. This year's game is in East Lansing. Should be a good one. But landing Drake Harris AND Lawrence Marshall? Holy Sh*t! |
| 5 days 5 hours ago | Too much "Robinson" subtraction from the 2013 football roster |
I'm totally cereal you guys. |
| 1 week 2 days ago | 1989 Ohio at Michigan |
Keith Jackson: Michigan offense is running consecutive rushing plays. Jackson says somethign like: "Oh my garsh! I mean they are REALLY blowing them off the ball now". |
| 1 week 2 days ago | 1977 aTm at Michigan |
Keith Jackson: "Now the Michigan Wolverines are assembled in the tunnel and the crowd is coming to it's feet, and when the Wolves come on to the field, you'll hear a roar that will knock pine cones out of trees 50 miles away." |
| 1 week 6 days ago | Fortunately for us Jackson did say this alot |
"Touchdown Misch-eh-gnn!" |
| 1 week 6 days ago | Always liked the way Jackson said "sophomore" |
Northerners tend to pronounce it "soff-more". |

| 6 weeks 5 days ago | I'm not worried |
Should anything happen to Gardner, Michigan will burn the redshirt of Shane Morris. But just one of these years, I'd like to see a RS 3rd string backup walk-on QB at Michigan who nobody knows nor respects just light it up inexplicably and leave people slack jawed.

Nice job bringing Tommy Wiseau's film "The Room" to mgoblog. It's about time. Genius.

"Munchie Legaux" over the Michigan Stadium mics died a second time today, 4 years too late. *Sigh* |
| 8 weeks 2 days ago | Jeff Akers, No. 1985 OLB for Michigan. Today an NFL official |
I remember Jeff Akers who played LB on the great 1985 Michigan defense. Wore No. 33. He's now an NFL official. Some interesting stuff on recruiting in the 1980s, Bo Schembechler, Nick Saban (OHIO LB coach at the time) and his team mate Jim Harbaugh: |

It kind of looks like you are back to pass and then your infant daughter and toddler son are both about to sack you for a 10 yard loss. |
| 8 weeks 3 days ago | I'm no fan of Athletic Directors or Useless Dept Auxiliaries |
getting massive salaries beyond their contribution value. Demote or fire them all as far as I'm concerned. I'm also OK with the notion of college athletes getting paid some money as part of the deal, and perhaps significant money in addition to their tuition for a 4 year degree for the value they provide. But I know what I don't want. I don't want college football to lose it's own unique identity and value proposition. College football is and must remain different from, and in a million ways better than the NFL. Even if it really is just a kind of NFL minor league. Fine. But this is college football, not NFL football. How can we keep them distinct and different? I just wish we could somehow contain the fallout from any upcoming courtroom intellectual property explosion, and not lose what was once really great and loved by fans, players and coaches: traditional, competitive, exciting, colorful and unpredictable college football. Otherwise, we just stop pretending about this student athlete stuff, and have Alabama schedule a home and home with the Green Bay Packers and call it a day.

| 9 weeks 4 hours ago | This outcome really sucked. One can only Tommy Wiseau this. |
|
| 9 weeks 4 hours ago | It's mostly attitude and experience |
This Michigan team is still remarkably young. The public accollades issued to them for draining the bucket with threes and "jamming it down", even on this blog, gets way more love and adoration than steals, blocked shots and forcing turnovers. Michigan is just not very good defensively this year. It will get better next IMO. I'm confident in Beileins approach. |

| 9 weeks 1 day ago | To receive max SS benefits, 66 is the magic year |
if you were born in 1949 as Mattison. Oh yeah. I forgot. He's probably a millionaire. Nevermind. |
| 9 weeks 1 day ago | Ugh 1997 offense |
I remember the 1997 season. Michigan's defense won the national title IN SPITE OF DEBORD. Debord was so creative he ran about 6 offensive plays all yar 1. QB waggle pass off run action (Griese pass to Tuman for like 30 yards) 2. Play action pass to Tai Streets (downfield fly for 20 yards) 3. Pass to Charles Woodson on downfield post (for TD or at least 30 yards. 4. Play action pass to FB Aaron Shea in shallow flat (for 7 or more yards) 5. Anthony Thomas, Chris Howard or Clarence Williams 32 or 38 zone right/left. 6. Repeat That's pretty much it. 27 points per game on avg. Offense never crested 38 pts. Count down to the "But they didn't have to!" in 3, 2, 1... |
| 9 weeks 1 day ago | I think people are anxious because |
Michigan employed "MANBALL" in the distant past (DeBordian era) with very mixed results and a lot of predictable run-run-pass-punt stuff. In the recent past, Michigan didn't have a very flamboyant rushing attack out of the I formation. Personally, I think it's stupid to put Vince Young, I mean Devin Gardner, under center so much, but whatever. I think Michigan's in a different place now with the OL and DL talent they have, and the coaching going on in the trenches with Mattison, Hoke and Funk. It would be cool if Borges' playcalling mutates a bit in 2013 aturning Devin Gardner into John Charles version 2.0.

| 9 weeks 3 days ago | So dumb question...what's the probability |
that Trey Burk returns for 2013-14 Michigan basketball season? That would be awesome.

| 9 weeks 3 days ago | He used to be dangerous on special teams in college |
Be nice to have a "home run" kind of guy as KR and PR for the Lions. |
