Rutgers seems to have succeeded in moving up their date with ally pummeling by 2 weeks (Oct 1, 2016 @ Ohio Stadium).

Not well known, but I think Rodriguez could have done a lot worse IMO.
The 3-3-5 is dead as a door nail.
Arizona will be 4-2-5 multiple all the way.
On defense Rodriguez did more than just fire Casteel. He cleaned house.
He fired secondary coach David Lockwood (now at Notre Dame) and long-time DL coach Bill Kirelawich (the only other 3-3-5 guru out there aside from Casteel and probably Rocky Long)
Kirelawich is replaced by Vincent Amey. Amey has never been a DL coach before (yeah, Uh oh), but he was a S&C coach prior.
Lockwood is replaced by with former West Virginia secondary star Jahmile Addae (safeties) and Donte Williams (corners).
Yates is going to coach the LBs himself.
Cleaning house was needed. Bringing in younger defensive coaching talent is also a good thing.
But the DL hire seems weird - like Rodriguez procrastinated and was scrambling for an option, and just picked a name out of a hat. This is a major decision-making flaw in my opinion. Like picking Greg Robinson was.
But I think Yates is a good coach. Hopefully the sum of defensive parts will be greater than the whole (or hole).
Arizona lost all of those defensive coaches plus LB Scooby Wright but I believe they return 9 starters from 2016 on defense, 6 of which are seniors, which can only help matters.

Simmons and his sister hung around and courted disaster with this, inciting/encouraging the confrontation with the other woman, so they are absolutely at fault for their actions.
Just a disgraceful display of violence overall - especially between two adult women with a bunch of mothers and little children looking on. Excellent parenting and modeling right there.
But Simmons is accountable for using his arms to hit that woman. I don't see how what he did was self-defense, particularly given that his sister and woman both provoked the fight in the first place.

I've had little cousins and dogs knock over my Fender Stratocaster from the stand, and color it with red crayons. Electric guitars seem to be magnets of abuse.

|5 weeks 3 days ago||It's too bad there is no||
It's too bad there is no preseason exhibition games. If there were you could make some rare, really interesting match ups and just play them out. Michigan at LSU, Clemson at Michigan, etc. The games would not officially count but would serve the purpose of national exposure anyway and assessing what you have. Afterward proceed to play out an 11 or 12 conference game schedule. Big Ten conference champions are, and always were, the champions of the Midwest anyway.

|6 weeks 3 days ago||I recommend you lose "The One" thinking, or Oneitis||
It's not a good thing.
Disney movies and American culture are rife with it, so it is not surprising, but I think it should be avoided.
First, there are lots of women (or men) out there that are compatible with you for long-term relationships. Never forget that. And it's actually a good thing that your future spouse understands that truth too.
Second, my experience is that spouses who know you have Oneitis about them quickly lose respect for you, feel smothered and start to resent you.
Third, people change over time. Some marriages succeed, others fail. We don't always grow together. Lots of people (men and women) take that failure very hard and personally. While it is sad that some marriages must end, and the collateral damage can be even worse, most people come out the other side OK and maybe even happier.
Fourth, lacking "The One" ideology plus committing to an LTR is actually a profound move, and demonstrates the real value of your love, committment and adoration for your future spouse because you really are "foresaking all others". And so is she.
I don't know. Get married, commit to responsibility, raise a family, and have a great life. Love her like crazy. But lose the Oneitis. It will only serve you well if you do.
