Working your dog up with toys is not the cause of seizures in your dog. However, when he has a seizure episode, it is important to calm him down and reduce stimuli such as light and noise. That said, it sounds like your dog is having seizures too often to treat with benign neglect. Bloodwork is a good baseline diagnostic for most patients and is fairly cheap. Your vet may want to check bloodwork so that they can start him on anti-seizure medication (phenobarbitol) which can be damaging to the liver. His liver enzymes would have to be normal before starting this trial. Treating with medicine (daily) is fairly cheap and also helps reduce occurrence in most dogs. Obviously if a brain tumor is causing this condition (more likely in older dogs and some breeds) advanced imaging can give you your diagnosis. But it will be cheaper to do bloodwork and begin a medicine trial. It's all up to you, but as many others have stated, it sounds like this is happening too frequently (you want to see <2 episodes per year) so you should seek treatment. Seizures can increase in severity and can result in permanent brain damage. Best of luck with your pup. I am 3/4 veterinarian; so take this for what it's worth.

You're selling Morgan way short here.

Point taken. But I do think they are referring more to the birth date with respect to the cutoff date that might be used for AAU basketball or whatever. With some young prospects they probably anticipate more development so they will be willing to take an underdeveloped player with the intent to redshirt (such as Caris and Donnal).
Of course this is all speculation since the process is highly proprietary.

You're thinking of Poythress. Randle supposedly had cramps. It's amazing that UK can only get him the ball outside the 3pt line so that he has to drive for everything he gets.

Ostensibly, Ollie seems like a decent guy. Jim Calhoun was a miserable, old douche and yet the media loved him, just like Jim Boeheim.

Oh. My bad. Yeah, quite a few 3's. I think he hit one right after we were down 7 vs Kentucky pretty late. Not a huge oversight I guess.

Derrick hit a ton of huge shots this year; the and-1's against MSU and a couple half-court shots come to mind immediately. I'm also surprised he didn't make the video.

It turned into about -3235 yards during last year's MSU game. Not that anything was going to salvage the offense that day, but I have to imagine he could have lost fewer yards.

Kentucky being out-fundamentaled here. No rotation on defense, driving into a packed lane, and no movement/ screening action on offense.

You say six games like it could be six non-conference games at the start of the season. Those were games that many Michigan fans will remember until they succumb to senility.
Also, much of his recruiting hype was severely dampened by the time he entered college fresh off of being the sixth man on his high school/ basketball academy team. Sure, he just had to regain the form that made him the #2 overall recruit previously, but a lot of guys never do.
Finally, don't downplay the importance of the sweet benchmob GIFs.

I think the run to the title game is enough of a contribution for Mitch. Obviously he flashed some dominant potential during that time, and we want to see that over the course of a season. But without him we have no chance at all against Kansas and Syracuse. Plus he's been awesome on the bench during his injury.
Agreed about Courtney Sims. He was huge and pretty skilled but just never asserted himself.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||I think Mitch would be best||
I think Mitch would be best served by getting a full off-season of pre-hab with coach Sanderson. I think one big risk he faces by going pro is getting on the court too early, re-aggravating his injury, getting waived due to the injury, then facing the long battle uphill of working his way onto a roster by himself pretty much. Obviously medical staff can probably advise him best here, but for a kid that seems to really like being at Michigan, it's his best and safest option. I don't doubt he'll be drafted, but probably not at a spot where a team will be so attached to him.
Also, while Joakim Noah has developed some semblance of an offensive game during his time in the league, Mitch is light years ahead of where he was after four years at Florida based on what he showed in last year's tourney.

True, but look at how high he plays above the college rim.

Last year, all the players talked about how good Caris was in practice.
Also before this season, Nik put out a video of him throwing down some of the same dunks Donnal displayed in the clip posted above.
I will modestly predict he matches the combined contributions of those two players next season.

The first one was utter tripe and resulted in a TO. That one really grinds my gears. I did think there were a couple around the basket defensively he could have been called on. But the hedge they finally called him on just illustrates how ridiculously inconsistent the refs have been all tournament and season.

They do it in European basketball routinely. Not sure how it works out, but I'm guessing it's roughly a coinflip. With the one-and-one that we had in tact, it might be the right play.
I did have some issue with Morgan not fouling Johnson on his layup even though he had 3 already. He's a terrible foul shooter.

Looking forward to him and a greatly improved and more aggressive Walton next year also. Irvin looks to be in a great place confidence-wise. If Mitch returns, they should be contenders. If not maybe Donnal can step up.

His dad hinted at it earlier during the season. Said he can achieve his goal of playing professionally if he kept up his level up play for a few more months. He kept up and possibly surpassed said level of play. He is probably looking forward to playing in a league with more offensive freedom. He and Trey both put in similar amounts of work with similar results. Great representatives of the program and the game.

Took a very well-played game by an extremely talented team to end our season. Sad we couldn't get more minutes out of J-Mo especially when Jon was struggling so hard in the first half. Foul management is my one criticism of JB's coaching. Thank you boys, I have appreciated this wonderful season.
