JH might not be Jesus but there is no way in hell we continue to play the 3-3-5 if he's coaching at Michigan. This decision is clearly about scheme and defensive coaching. Maybe Zettel wants to play for a team that prides itself on having a great defense. It also helps that PSU has a d-coordinator with a proven track record.
I'm not gonna blame Brandon for this one because its obvious with his choice he's not too concerned with the coaching situation. This decision seems to be more about style of play. Maybe he saw how bad our defense has been under GERG and would rather not play in a 3-3-5 scheme. If we make a CC or bring in a top notch d-coordinator we might have a shot at getting him back.
It hurts when lifelong U-M fans like Arnett, Thomas and Zettel do not come here. Michigan has become a sad shell of its former self. I was pissed about Ronald Johnson, Nick Perry, Gholston and Thomas (i know the sparty connection) but this really hurts. LaLota, Campbell and so far no DT recruits, looks like another decimated defense topic in the making.
