Thanks for the info BlueCube. I asked for insight because I was afraid I was looking at the bad times, and not looking during the good. Seems to be the case.
|1 day 20 hours ago||What is up with Avila? I||
What is up with Avila? I don't watch every single game, but whenever I DO watch a game Avila screws up a potential scoring at bat.
I tuned in with 2 on base with 2 outs. The batter had 2 strikes, I was like "oh that looks like Avila".
Go figure, it was Avila, I start complaining to my wife that there is no way in heck that Avila gets on base, and the man immediately goes 0-3 and closes the inning with 2 on base.
Am I being to harsh on Avila? Do any more avid Tigers fans have any insight on Avila's batting? I'd be curious to know more.

I'm not really sure. In one of my posts I did say Shane was almost perfect in his throws, but I CLEARLY stated that DG would be better than Shane over the course of the entire 2014 season by quite a bit.
You can't say Shane was perfect, good, horrible, or average for just two passes...
|2 days 16 hours ago||Can it get any worse?||
Michigan could have lose today...I'm guessing that would be worse.

Please keep in the mind the HUGE DIFFERENCE between 2013 and 2014.
In 2013, did the backups get any snaps verse UConn or Akron?
Backups got snaps verse both APP St. and Miami (NTM) this year.
Maybe not as many as you'd like, but a big difference from last year.
|2 days 17 hours ago||Keep in mind both of those||
Keep in mind both of those Shane passes were almost perfect throws.
Heitzman dropped a pass to him, in stride!, that should have been hauled in.
I believe the second was a pass to Jehu Chesson that he hauled in and then dropped. Yes DG > Shane, but Shane's 2 passes were good throws.
Take away the turnovers, offense played pretty well IMO.
Not trying to be argumentative, just trying to emphasize that even though we didn't win as we wanted. There were good things on offense.

The interesting stat that I am seeing, is that Shane held the football once. For 27 yards.
There is no way he is faster than DG, and DG had more carries and chances to run.
I think Shane's overall vision is better than DG. However, I'd start DG every single game. It's frustrating to have his turn overs sometimes, but spread out over the course of the season, I think 2014 DG would be better than 2014 Shane by quite a bit.
Give Shane one more year in Doug's system, there is a possibility he could be a beast of a QB for Michigan 2015.
2014 is DG's time.

I completly agree. At this point, I don't see this Michigan team making the playoff. WIth that said, the B1G Ten Championship is still attainable and very imporatant for the team.
I would rest everyone that even remotely needs it against Utah. If the difference between Michigan winning or losing against Utah next week is 100 percent dependant on Funchess playing, then this team is in trouble for the rest for the year IMO.
I didn't see Funchess in a boot or in terrible pain, rest him against Utah and he should be 100 percent come B1G time.

He stayed for three full years believing he would get a house and/or car? What a quack...

You could be right. I am not a student anymore, and my reasons for watching/going to games now are not the same as when I was a student in college.
EDIT: Grammar is hard.

Basically ND stomped Rice and Golson looked good. Michigan stomped App State and our Oline/run game looked good.
The biggest issues with both teams, ND's depleted defense, and our run game, both passed the eye ball test against weaker opposition.
Really surprised they didn't just give Mich +3. Maybe Vegas thinks this could be a sucker bet?
|2 weeks 1 day ago||It's probably due to a ton of||
It's probably due to a ton of different factors. New OC's first start. Nuss is highly decorated and a proved QB coach. That was probably a slight draw.
All of the reports about an aggressive defense, with proof in the scrimmage game. Plus Peppers was basically promised a starting spot due to his fall practices. That was probably a slight draw.
The Oline and RB's, even though there wasn't a ton of good news, this is the first game to see if they could finally start to click, and our senior RB Fitz is gone, who was going to step up?
These are all reasons I was interested in the game, seemed like a lot of tiny factors could have played a big in part filling up the student section. Along with everything posted above.

WTF? That trotter guy waned the ball so bad he jumped on the pile from the sideline. You better watch it or coach will make you trotter yourself all the way back to Madison.

McEvoys arm punts go farther than LSUs punters kicks.

Wow that badger kickers leg had sec speed did you guys see it?

I approve of this curse.
Yes A&M look pretty good, but it was nice to see them embarrass South Carolina, a top ten rated SEC team. That is acceptable.

Looking forward to LSU Wisconsin. I want badgers to win for B1G perception purposes. Interested in seeing Fournette play.

I think my joke went over your head...possibly the OPs as we'll.

I swear to god if anyone asks this question again there will be hell to pay!!
If it isn't obvious ill humor you. Gardner was 13/14 and Morris was 3/5.
Still not obvious? You start Bellomy you blind idiot. He hasn't had any dropped or missed passes yet.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||Same, untrained eye, didn't||
Same, untrained eye, didn't focus on the line every play. I did notice Kalis was directly responsible for one tfl.
He went right creating a gap between him and miller when it was a run play to the left. Defender easily got through and got green from behind.
With that said, that is the only bad decision I saw from him. I'd expect he would be positive in an ufr.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||I haven't seen Glasgow play||
I haven't seen Glasgow play so I couldn't tell you. I agree with your tackle and guard starters though.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||I agree. That is the main||
I agree. That is the main thing I watched all game was oline and runs. I was getting worried when greens first two runs went for 1 and -1.
It drove me nuts when I saw Kalis take a step to his right creating a hole between him and the center when we were running a play to the left. Their dlineman ran through that huge hole and got green from behind for a tfl. To be fair he also blocked someone 12 yards and pushed him into the end zone before smith completed his 12 yard td.
Overall it was a solid performance that we needed to get. Now let's see how it works against a ranked opponent next week.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||When you have both backs||
When you have both backs getting over 100 yards each you continue to play them both. Builds experience and keeps the running game fresh.
On a side note, I think you guys are missing a key stat. Green, Smith, Johnson and Hayes all had more rushing yards than Gardner!!
|2 weeks 2 days ago||My favorite catch was for his||
My favorite catch was for his third TD. Double coverage, in the end zone, and he takes it away from one of the defenders who had a hand on the ball and should have blocked it? Yes please!

My apologies, I will take my second 15 yard personal foul penalty. I'm sure coach Hoke will have stern talking to me now.
EDIT: Meant to say 15 minute penalty. Drinking and all...
|2 weeks 2 days ago||Do you guys remember last||
Do you guys remember last year when Taylor Lewan got hurt got? The coaches had to hid his HELMET to keep him off the field. I wouldn't be surprised if they kept Jabril in the locker room for the same season.
Case in point, when Norfleet went out to return a punt and had to wave Peppers back from coming onto the field.
Peppers got a bad hit to the knee, but came back several plays later AND returned a punt. I believe the coaches kept him in the locker room for precautionary reasons. I believe it was 42-7 at the time.
Why let him on the sidelines, when you can ice his knee, get him IMMEDIATE mecial attention, and rest him up in a game where, you have a 99.8 percent chance of winning?
This is all my opinion, but I'd bet money it's pretty accurate.
Go Blue guys, Peppers should be fine.

Wow, that was really classy. Shows respect for the Kramer family and the jersey number. I love our players.

Every Michigan "fan" and everyone on twitter giving Devin Funchess a hard time about EARNING the #1 jersey can go screw themselves. 3 td in the first HALF against an inferior opponent.
You weren't there for all of Spring and Fall practice and have NO idea what he did during that time. The coaches decided that he EARNED it over the offseason. Eat crow guys.
