This is very good. I can feel tension exit my body, blood pressure dropping to healthy levels.

My brother is a Northwestern grad, back when they were hopelessly futile. The students almost took pride in that fact. Now we are bottom-feeders. Never thought it would come to this. I've been a fan since 1974, a Michigan alum, love my school. We're now wandering in the desert, hoping to one day enter the promised land.

I visited Meteor Crater a few years ago. Very impressive.
|3 days 23 hours ago||You are right. I really||
You are right. I really can't envision anything worse in a single game. I've been a fan for 40 years and this one takes the cake. Playing Morris while clearly injured like that is criminal.

I agree. For all his talk about his "105 kids" that was complete bullshit. He can go to hell.

Apart from incompetence, what the fuck is wrong with Michigan's staff leaving Morris in when clearly injured? That is reprehensible.

Is that fumble a drive-killer?

Would that pick be considered a drive- killer? I must say, I never thought we'd reach 2008 futility but are now doormats in the Big Ten. Never thought it would come to this.

Depression heading toward acceptance. I've been a fan since 1974 when I was nine years old. Grew up with Michigan football and the program meant unquestioned excellence. I have two degrees from UM. At least I had 34 years of great memories in my fandom before we went off the cliff in 2008. Unfortunately younger fans are getting shortchanged, not realizing what a great program we had. I'm sad and embarrassed for my great university.

I most definitely remembered and watched Michigan Replay. That was back in the day when only 2-3 games were televised per year, so seeing footage in the show was fantastic.

That reminded me in the movie "The Blind Side" when Michael Oher blocked the defender through the end zone and over the fence.

Just saw that movie last night. Groot was my favorite character.

Damn. I'm old enough to have seen that when it premiered.

Strange. Not more than 30 minutes ago I was out for a run and my mind wandered to thinking about posts by The_Knowledge. I am desperate for football.

I agree. I've only been there for the 2012 Sugar Bowl and was not impressed. I was in the mezzanine level and the seats were far from the field. Poor lighting as well.

That was my era when I really became a Michigan fan in my youth. Loved the Leach teams - especially beating OSU 1976-78.

I live in Midland and remember watching Schweigert play against the Chemics. He was their QB and reeled off a ~ 80 yard TD run.

I don't know why people would question (or care about) a person's reason for school fandom. People can develop an emotional attachment to a school regardless of whether they attended - I was a huge UM fan when I was 11 years old and definitely had a "we" attitude.

1986 Notre Dame. Escape with victory as the Irish miss field goal on last play.

I can't see the list on my phone. One play I remember was my freshman year 1983. Game was at the Metrodome and Steve Smith kept the ball on an option play and ran ~75 yards for a touchdown.

I agree. Those should be removed from our playbook, even though they have been executed perfectly in recent weeks.

Yes. The only possessions I brought to my marriage 25 years ago were a Chevy Chevette and a stereo system with some pretty good Cerwin-Vega speakers. The speakers live in the basement and continue to pump out tunes after I rebuilt them a couple years ago.

Loved watching AC play. My friends and I went to a game circa 1980 and we painted a banner hoping to get on television (only a handful of games were televised in those days). The banner read, "1 AC + 5 JW = 6 TD".
|1 year 2 weeks ago||Two lost traditions||
1) Back in the 1970s/80s, before the stadium renovations, after each score the Michigan cheerleaders would stand on the wall surrounding the field and do backflips, one for each point scored by then in the game. You can imagine the cumulative effect in a game such as 69-0 vs NW. Probably abandoned due to safety concerns.

Nice analogy. I've got a pug he fucked over the big dog while the big dog wasn't expecting it.
