Having played the game at the college level I fully understand the tough decisions coaches must make when the numbers crunch at positions. Regardless of HS rankings, both Hill and White were good HS backs, One is currently on a B1G roster and getting snaps while the other is starting over at CMU.?
There were signs of White's character issues prior to him leaving HS. Whether they were a result of immaturity or lack of drive, I cannot answer but clearly the kid was not cut out to play Big Ten Football.
All that being said, RR swung and missed on White and its tough to see a local kid have any success, as minor as some of you think it is or may be, at a rival school. Character and drive is what seperates athletes from one another. I love that about Hoke's recruiting and overall message
I know Nick personally and scrawny is not a word you can use when discribing him if you have ever seen him, short yes, scrawny def not, dude is shredded.
The kid is going to have a nice niche in the offense for a few years to come, and personally as a M fan I hope RR's lack of local recruiting doesn't come back to bite us in the ass in this case. Reading foolish comments like this makes me think it will and Nick Hill will have a big game against the Maize N Blue at some point in his career. Woulda certainly gone Blue if Hoke was around, he loved the Michigan family and had a great relationship with the players at UM when he was in HS at Chelsea, which is only 10 min away. He was actually giving the nickname Lil Mike by them because of his likeness to Hart in both running style and looks.
If we are placing orders I would like to see a mock up of a Blue shoe with Maize wings to match the helmet PLZ? i had a vision as I looked at the Denard picture above.
I love to watch Breaston pick a gap and go but unfortuantely I think he will just be a receiver for the chiefs. They have McCluster and Arenas (r) as their returners right now. I do think he will be a nice compliment to Bowe though. Best of luck to a damn fine Wolverine!
so we refab a coach who has a regular season record below .500 and an even lower playoff win %, not to mention not even making it his last two years then leading the nets to a 0-16 start in '09-10...not to mention he is 40 and looks like a ball boy.....Greg Monroe is going to be a second year player and looks like his grandfather! I think Frank will be a good coach sometime but this is not putting him or the pistons in a position to succeed. He was on the bench with Doc Rivers last year for a team that is on its deathbed,aren't we trying to avoid that though? Yes I hope we can have a youth movement but not sure this makes alot of sense....agree with previous poster...we'll be doin it all again in 3 years.
