Agree totally on defending simple plays. I think the idea was to not switch and get through the screens, but they almost never did. It kept ending up a 1 on 0 goal. When we did switch, it turned into a mismatch.
The subbing was rough. It was hard to tell from the TV broadcast angle, but a couple times it looked like Virginia just elected to play with who was on the field and M was a man down when they never had to be.
We also mentioned how important faceoffs would be and lost that battle 21-11. That hurts a lot when that's supposed to be our strongest position.
I'm with you that it's hard to overlook the frustrating bad/simple plays. If you told me Michigan was going to score 11, I would have thought the game was at least somewhat close.
I'd like to see Brown facilitate a little bit more.
I didn't see a second of the Canisius game, but hopefully they gained a little confidence seeing plays work and the ball go in the net. I think they played every single person on the roster, so I'm thinking I may just grab some key plays from the first half and do a few slides on each.
It was a fifth year graduate transfer, now that I look back. With the confusion of added covid years, I'm unsure whether he was eligible for another year here.

Inspired by my urge to write like I did back in the day and to commit time theft from my currently draining job. Lacrosse is a short season, so if there's any interest, maybe I'll try to keep it going past this sudden burst of inspiration.

All my roommates in college were sports junkies too and consumed everything this site produced. We went to every basketball and football game together, stopping at my parents tailgate for free food on the way if we hadn't had to many beers that morning.
My friend that I watch most games with now flew home to watch the game with his dad. I texted mine to see where he was watching. Our texts just above that were old, but about my grandmother's funeral arrangements. He just happened to make the three hour drive to his dad, my grandfather, to "handle some banking stuff." I'm certain he just went for the company. They had season tickets together for almost 40 years. Now mine and my parents. Same seats.
Maybe it'll be decades before there's another one of these games, but I'm hoping I'll get to watch with my parents like you did.

In high school he was too fat and slow to run downt the court. He would just go wait at the other end during everyone's free throws instead of rebounding.
Their chest protector is different. The top is made of hard plastic and the bottom extends lower. Wouldn't be safe without it.
They also wear a plastic piece that hangs from the helmet to protect their neck.
The gloves are a little different, but you wouldn't be able to notice. The thumb has a hard plastic shell inside.
When goalies wear sweatpants, it's not really much extra protection. Baggy sweatpants could save a goal if it takes a weird bounce and gets caught in them.

Pardon all the typos. I was trying to get this up before todays game but Virginia scored a lot of goals and I have a 9 to 5.
Michigan is currently leading 14-1 and it's not even halftime.

Looks very very similar to OSU, but 2 less outdoor fields in AA, and I never saw pools in the Columbus facility.
The players lounges were really cool with TVs, leather couches, video games, etc.
There's also a countdown clock to the Michigan game on the wall.
This was quite a few years ago now, probably has also been renovated, maybe expanded, since then.

We just calculated $500 per person for us as students.
