Season 3 is arguably the best season, although they're all great.  Might very well be my favorite all-time show.   Having watched it in its entirety several times, all I'll say is that it can be difficult at first to pick up on everything going on...lots of characters and subplots.   But it definitely rewards attentive viewing - there are no "throwaway" scenes.   Enjoy!

Do I have this right? …

Do I have this right?  Patterson has as many fumbles in 2 games than the whole team had last season!?  Argh...

Gotta go with "I can't make you love me" by Bonnie Raitt.  Recently broke up with the live-in GF after 15 years - Don't know why it's comforting, but somehow it is.

I was a HS wrestler about 100 years ago, so I've always followed Michigan's team and their usually outstanding wrestlers.  Didn't even realize this was televised, and accidentally turned it on about a minute into the final match.  So much drama and so much fun!  GO BLUE!

Absolutely correct.  The…

Absolutely correct.  The only way to "see last year's title run clearly" is to look at it after the fact.  As for this year's team, I'll go with one of Bill Parcell's favorite quotes:  "You are who your record says you are".

Also no BS...

I've known a Dick Groth (pronounced "growth"), a Dick Picker, and a Dick Bush, none of whom preferred "Richard".

Lost control of a moped after dismissing the need for a helmet

Yup, a freaking rented moped.  Flew off of it, ass over teakettle, landing right on my head.  Was airlifted from Key West to Miami after being induced into a coma.  Had a subdural hematoma (bleeding in the brain) and spent 4 days in the ICU.

Recovered completely, which was probably less likely than dying from it.

Really enjoyed this

A very thoughtful piece...and as an aspiring musician, I thought your music analogy was genius!

Surprised at how much I'm enjoying this team.

They work hard, play for each other, are resilient, and show real improvement and development from game to game.

Who would have thought that we'd see Dawkins and MAAR not just starting, but significantly contributing, not to mention seeing real results from Max battling and scrapping underneath.  Don't have the offensive firepower of previous years?  Let's start driving teams crazy with different zones...

Love the job Beilein is doing, and much like the team, I find myself not worrying about the schedule or which tourney, if any, we'll be playing in - just the next game.

Of course it's not the

Of course it's not the reason.

But that's not the point.  If we sit down to play poker, and I somehow cheat to get a straight, but on the river you make a flush to beat me anyway, are you ok with the fact that I tried to cheat to win?

I sure wouldn't be.

The softer ball is apparently

The softer ball is apparently easier to grip (especially in poor weather conditions), therefore less likely to be fumbled.

Found a fascinating analysis of this - it seems the Patriots fumble the ball significantly far less than normal. The analysis was done over multiple years.  Check it out.
