Well, I agree with you there. I do think he could play on the FBS level.
|1 hour 2 min ago||If that is indeed the case,||
If that is indeed the case, then it's an indictment of Rivals' evaluation policy.
But it's also odd that Brandon would undermine his own company like that.

Here's the link to his commitment post:
A commenter mentioned the same thing that I had said previously, which is that Chris Wormley had the same issues in high school. Wormley has turned into a pretty good player, but I think his motor has been an issue at times in college, too. He flashes great plays and then disappears for stretches of time.
|1 hour 6 min ago||The concern I have with||
The concern I have with playing him early is that literally every body returns on the interior of the line - Henry, Glasgow, Wormley, Hurst, Godin, Strobel, Pallante, and Mone (assuming nobody transfers, leaves for the NFL, etc.). And of that group, Hurst, Pallante, and Mone have eligibility for 2017. I'm more concerned about the WDE spot for next year and the future.
|1 hour 9 min ago||Frankly, anything said by||
Frankly, anything said by Brandon Brown should be taken with a grain of salt. He's in a bit over his head. And even at Rivals, he has continued the trend of interviewing prospects who are not being recruited by Michigan, which was one problem he had here, too.

For anyone wondering, career stats for Toussaint:
6 carries for 12 yards

Most of their time before the game will be spent with recruiting coordinators, academic staff, etc. The coaches will probably spend Saturday evening and Sunday with recruits and their families, going to dinner, watching film at the football facilities, etc. Saturday night will be spent with the player hosts. Then usually the recruits fly out on Sunday afternoon/evening.

There will be attritiion. And yes, there are several redshirt juniors who don't play much who could be allowed to move on.

There are guys currently committed who will not be a part of the class on National Signing Day.
|1 day 20 hours ago||I think Camp can play nose;||
I think Camp can play nose; he just needs some time to build up his body. We also don't need him to play immediately, since Glasgow, Mone, and Hurst all have at least one more year of eligibility. In fact, we don't lose anyone on the defensive line except Ojemudia and Jenkins-Stone, the weakside ends.
Hurst is playing nose at a shade over 280 lbs. Obviously, that's not the norm, but you don't need to be a mammoth to play that position.

Supposedly, he's visiting Michigan tomorrow instead. If he visits Michigan State, then I think that's a pretty strong clue that he's picking the Spartans. You don't miss a Michigan vs. Ohio State game unless you have no interest in committing to those schools.
|1 day 20 hours ago||I like Corley. I don't think||
I like Corley. I don't think he's as much of a potential game breaker as a couple other guys, but he's a very solid prospect. Personally, I think Michigan needs guys like Pie Young, Velus Jones, etc., who can catch-and-run, return punts, etc. Unfortunately, Pie Young's highlights are filled with him getting penalties for early celebrations, flips into the endzone, etc., so that's a concern.
Anyway, I was asked a similar question on TTB the other day. I had Eddie McDoom at the top of my list. He's a polished kid who also has good long speed and run-after-catch ability. Then I would probably have Corley, Velus Jones, and then Young.
|1 day 23 hours ago||I'm not in love with Jordan||
I'm not in love with Jordan Elliott's game. He doesn't have a variety of moves, and he's pretty lackadaisical. I can understand that sometimes if he's going both ways, but I don't think he plays offense. Add in the fact that he's already committed and decommitted twice, and I'm wary.
On the flip side, Keyshon Camp reminds me of Richard Ash. I don't know if that's good or bad. He didn't do much at Michigan, went on to play well at Western Michigan, and is now latched onto a practice squad in the NFL.

Haha. You said "lost."
|4 days 4 hours ago||Meh. He's not a||
Meh. He's not a high-completion guy, and I think O'Korn is clearly better. I don't think there's much worth in bringing someone in unless they can legitimately compete with the guys who are already here. At best, Towles would probably be the #2 guy.
|4 days 4 hours ago||No Michigan player should be||
No Michigan player should be called for targeting until an opposing player is called for targeting. Rudock has been "targeted" about 5 times this year - at least - and not one call has gone in his favor. So f*** Hackenberg and any other Michigan opponent until then.

It appears that Nauta will probably end up at Georgia unless something happens with Georgia's coaching staff.

Also, he wasn't very good at running the ball.

Shea had 27 career carries for 104 yards and 0 touchdowns. If that's the type of production we could expect from Smith as a FB, that would be disappointing.

He said he will not comment publicly until he submits his NLI and enrolls in classes for spring (a.k.a. winter) semester.

I think the chances are slim that any true freshman beats out three fifth year seniors or a junior who's been a two-year starter already.
|5 days 1 hour ago||I mean, I didn't listen to||
I mean, I didn't listen to it, but it says that U of M confirmed with Lorenz that they plan on taking 27. So unless you have other evidence, I don't really see how you can "disagree" with something like that.
|5 days 1 hour ago||Zero. Who's going to replace||
Who's going to replace them? Juwann Bushell-Beatty? David Dawson is well behind Kalis/Braden. Kugler might fill Glasgow's spot. Cole might move inside, so Grant Newsome could conceivably fill Glasgow's spot as a starter.

Well, I hope so, but we've been saying that for a couple years now, and the run blocking still leaves a lot to be desired.

To be fair, they lost to Katy, a team that is 12-0. They have a 4-star RB, a couple kids committed to Northwestern, a 3-star committed to Houston, and two other 2-star prospects. And that's just in the 2016 class.

With Thomas on defense and McFarland on offense, that would be some serious speed added to the team.
|5 days 2 hours ago||I like McDoom. He's a good||
I like McDoom. He's a good all-around receiver, and he's pretty polished. I think he could come in and contribute next year, unlike project guys like Drake Harris, Brian Cole, etc., who need developmental time.

You mean Rashad Weaver? I don't know of a Rashad Williams.
|5 days 2 hours ago||I think Walker is a good||
I think Walker is a good all-around back. I don't think he is Leonard Fournette or Derrick Henry. He's not a physical freak, but he does everything well.
Right now we have guys who are slow, guys who don't have great vision, guys who can't run through tackles, etc. I don't think people will have a lot of complaints about Walker if he comes here, but he won't be a Heisman candidate, either.

I thought you were suggesting it for me and my site. My site isn't as lucrative as MGoBlog. But yeah, it's obviously less drastic of an expenditure for MGoBlog.
