Some "fans" really suck balls.

"Oh, the fans don't like losing football games? Well, I guess we'd better try to win football games now. We didn't know that was the point."

I thought the same thing. Stribling played quite a bit in the second half. Maybe Peppers reaggravated his ankle injury.

Actually, you said "we need a new coach with fire."
Which implies exactly what I said - that you think Hoke needs to be fired in the middle of the year.
If it doesn't mean that, then you're saying Hoke should have until the end of the year. And if at the end of the year, Hoke is 10-2, then we don't need a new coach at all.
So I think you're talking out of both sides of your mouth.

Ugh. Firing a coach four games into the season does absolutely nothing for the program. Can we please wait until the end of the season to have an endless number of threads calling for people to be fired? It's not positive for the fans, the players, the recruits, etc. Chill out. It's not like there's anyone better who's going to take the job and make a midseason push for a playoff spot.
Some of you people really suck.

I thought Brian must be working on that big site upgrade that was rumored to be done by the beginning of the season.

Under Rodriguez, there was both offensive futility (lots of yards, not enough scores) and defensive futility (obvious). That's not the case with Hoke. The offense is producing a fair amount of yardage (but not enough scores) and the defense is pretty stout. The Wolverines are #8 in total defense and #1 in the Big Ten.

If Eric Ebron was worth a first round pick, I don't see why Funchess wouldn't be.

EVERY coach loses a dumb game to somebody. Only a couple teams (if that) go undefeated in any given season, and they don't repeat year after year. Carr got his great year. I don't see why anyone was frustrated with him prior to about 2005.

I actually like Wilson. That wouldn't be the worst idea.
|3 days 1 hour ago||I think there are a lot of||
I think there are a lot of factors at play, and perhaps I'll take heat for some of them.
First of all, the weather is an issue. There are constant seven-on-seven practices and tournaments in the south. That's not the case in Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, etc. At least in some states (Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Texas, South Carolina I believe, etc.), spring football practices are allowed, so teams get 15-ish extra practices in the spring while Ohio/Michigan/Illinois players are sitting on their butts, just lifting weights, or playing baseball/running track.
Second, I get the feeling that southern schools are more liberal with the rules. With closer geographical locations, Player X from the middle of nowhere in Alabama knows that he can get/get away with certain things at Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, etc. because his friend or cousin goes there and has passed the word along.
Third, I think the economy in the south leads some people to "look for a way out." When a kid hits middle school and looks like a star football player, I think doors open up and I think that kid gets a little extra motivation/encouragement because that could be mommy and daddy's paycheck or at least a way to pay your way through college. I don't think that's such a motivating factor in the north except for in certain places (such as inner cities like Detroit, Chicago, etc.).

Good stuff, Space Coyote. I would just like to reiterate that changing personnel and formations makes it very difficult to key some of this stuff. All the diagrams have the team in an I-formation, but Michigan has the personnel right now to make all this stuff work, partly because of guys like Chesson and Darboh, who aren't afraid to block. It's somewhat rare that you can get a 190-ish pounder to block like Chesson does, and it helps that we have a couple fullbacks and tight ends who can get the job done now that Butt is back.

If Tony Gibson had coached Charles Woodson, how sad would I be on a scale of "Appalachian State just blocked Jason Gingell" to "Gerg Robinson was replaced by Greg Mattison"?
Adjusted for inflation, how much money has Rita Rodriguez wasted on tanning booths?
True or false: the cartoon dog Droopy was based on the facial features of Lloyd Carr.
If Kate Upton married Mark Dantonio, how much less often would her pictures be posted here?
If David Terrell and Jameis Winston got into an inappropriate yelling match, who would win? Explain your answer using only Les Miles gifs.
If Brady Hoke farts in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it come out sounding like "Well..."?

Innocent until proven guilty but...yeah.
So much for resurrecting his career in the MAC. He'll always have that Purdue game...
I don't think anything good happens at a casino.
|1 week 1 day ago||Even if you take out the||
Even if you take out the three long runs equaling roughly 180 yards...
(which I don't know why you would, since every other major team has played at least one patsy so far and has presumably made big plays against inferior opponents)
...Michigan has run the ball 113 times for 546 yards. That's an average of 4.83 yards/carry, which would be good enough for #51 nationally.
So...I guess the moral of the story is...you're wrong.
|1 week 1 day ago||Well, he's no Carlos Brown.||
Well, he's no Carlos Brown. But our group of running backs isn't particularly speedy right now. Green and Smith are both somewhat ponderous, Hayes has some decent quicks, and Drake Johnson is supposedly fast...on a track.
|1 week 1 day ago||Green and Smith also missed||
Green and Smith also missed some holes against Notre Dame. We should have done better. I don't think we're great, but we're much improved from last year.

Didn't I say that Hayes is the quickest back on the team?
|1 week 1 day ago||I mean, Lewis had a chance to||
I mean, Lewis had a chance to catch it, but it was tipped by the Miami receiver, IIRC. It's pretty tough to keep a bead on a ball when it's tipped at the last second.
|1 week 1 day ago||Michigan was also without its||
Michigan was also without its difference-maker in the form of Devin Funchess. A couple years ago, it was Denard Robinson. Last year it was Jeremy Gallon. This year it appears to be Funchess. If you're missing your best player, things are bound to be a little rougher than you want them to be.
|1 week 1 day ago||Hayes looked fast against a||
Hayes looked fast against a tired Miami defense. He is probably the quickest back on the team, but he's not fast or particularly effective. I think Michigan is using him nicely as a third down back. He's not as good of a blocker as Vincent Smith, but he can be used similarly.

There shouldn't be any "issue" with paperwork at this point. It doesn't appear to be injury-related, so my guess would be that it's some sort of disciplinary issue.

All I said is that I will root for other, less violent people to be successful and lucky. Nowhere did I suggest that I wish him bodily harm, disease, personal tragedy, etc. You're making things up.
