Good stuff, Space Coyote. I would just like to reiterate that changing personnel and formations makes it very difficult to key some of this stuff. All the diagrams have the team in an I-formation, but Michigan has the personnel right now to make all this stuff work, partly because of guys like Chesson and Darboh, who aren't afraid to block. It's somewhat rare that you can get a 190-ish pounder to block like Chesson does, and it helps that we have a couple fullbacks and tight ends who can get the job done now that Butt is back.

If Tony Gibson had coached Charles Woodson, how sad would I be on a scale of "Appalachian State just blocked Jason Gingell" to "Gerg Robinson was replaced by Greg Mattison"?
Adjusted for inflation, how much money has Rita Rodriguez wasted on tanning booths?
True or false: the cartoon dog Droopy was based on the facial features of Lloyd Carr.
If Kate Upton married Mark Dantonio, how much less often would her pictures be posted here?
If David Terrell and Jameis Winston got into an inappropriate yelling match, who would win? Explain your answer using only Les Miles gifs.
If Brady Hoke farts in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it come out sounding like "Well..."?

So much for resurrecting his career in the MAC. He'll always have that Purdue game...

Even if you take out the three long runs equaling roughly 180 yards...
(which I don't know why you would, since every other major team has played at least one patsy so far and has presumably made big plays against inferior opponents)
...Michigan has run the ball 113 times for 546 yards. That's an average of 4.83 yards/carry, which would be good enough for #51 nationally.
So...I guess the moral of the story is...you're wrong.
|5 days 6 hours ago||Well, he's no Carlos Brown.||
Well, he's no Carlos Brown. But our group of running backs isn't particularly speedy right now. Green and Smith are both somewhat ponderous, Hayes has some decent quicks, and Drake Johnson is supposedly fast...on a track.

Green and Smith also missed some holes against Notre Dame. We should have done better. I don't think we're great, but we're much improved from last year.

Didn't I say that Hayes is the quickest back on the team?

I mean, Lewis had a chance to catch it, but it was tipped by the Miami receiver, IIRC. It's pretty tough to keep a bead on a ball when it's tipped at the last second.

Michigan was also without its difference-maker in the form of Devin Funchess. A couple years ago, it was Denard Robinson. Last year it was Jeremy Gallon. This year it appears to be Funchess. If you're missing your best player, things are bound to be a little rougher than you want them to be.
|5 days 13 hours ago||Hayes looked fast against a||
Hayes looked fast against a tired Miami defense. He is probably the quickest back on the team, but he's not fast or particularly effective. I think Michigan is using him nicely as a third down back. He's not as good of a blocker as Vincent Smith, but he can be used similarly.

There shouldn't be any "issue" with paperwork at this point. It doesn't appear to be injury-related, so my guess would be that it's some sort of disciplinary issue.

All I said is that I will root for other, less violent people to be successful and lucky. Nowhere did I suggest that I wish him bodily harm, disease, personal tragedy, etc. You're making things up.

Maurice Hurst, Jr.'s dad wasn't around. He seems to have made it to his second year of college without attacking a school security guard or attacking a girlfriend.

It's pretty clear. It says he was released, went to the school, and proceeded to attack the girl after he took her phone and read her text messages.
|1 week 4 hours ago||I don't care what "life||
I don't care what "life experiences" he's had. As a junior in high school, he knew that it would be wrong to body-slam a school employee. As a senior in high school, he knew that it would be wrong to attack his girlfriend. He did/allegedly did those things, anyway.
There's no society in which everyone is successful. I'll spend my time rooting for the hardworking, good-hearted people of the world to find success.
And frankly - while we're talking about things we don't like - I don't like the insinuation that there's some kind of racial prejudice in my statement, as if a white dude who body-slams a school employee or hits his girlfriend would be given a free pass. Johnny Manziel hasn't done anything as bad as Jayru Campbell, and I also think Manziel is a moron. Am I somehow racist for disliking Manziel, too? Or is it more likely that I just dislike assholes?

That kid is an absolute moron. I know some people will say "Best of luck to him" and "I hope he finds success in the future."
I hope somebody who's not a jerk gets the luck and success. I hope people like Jayru Campbell become hermits and can just live the rest of their lives without hurting someone else.

Interesting dilemma. Taylor, Lewis, and presumably Peppers are good in-your-face defenders. Countess and Stribling are not. If Taylor and Peppers are injured, then it seems like a bad idea to stick with press man coverage.

|1 week 19 hours ago||Another interesting thing||
Another interesting thing regarding Manning is that after the Appalachian State game, one of the coaches - Hoke or Mattison - said that Raymon Taylor probably played his best game ever. So that guy has his best game ever, he gets hurt on the first series or two the next week, and the defensive backs were poor without Taylor, the nickel corner (Peppers), and potentially their starting safety (Delano Hill). Hill was the presumed leader for the position going into fall camp, so Michigan was basically missing 3 defensive starters - plus whatever Desmond Morgan is - for the Notre Dame game.
