This might do more harm than good. This would devestate small schools with good players that want to play at a bigger school on the national stage. If this goes through I think football and any sports would become VERY top heavy (not like it isn't already but it'd become worse).

You are right on that. Even though I'm happy that Lovie is leaving I realize he is a hell of a coach. However, every coach has their faults and Lovie's was a bad one. Lovie became to loyal to his players and coaches and it got in the way of improving the team as he would always say our players/coaches are good enough we don't need to add anyone. If it wasn't for this part of him I really think he could have done a 100x's better than what he did.

Lovie, vs team's with winning records, was 19-40. He was also loyal too much. He would consitently say "WR's are good enough we don't need to add anyone" "Our OL is fine, we just need another year" "Jamarcus Webb has all the potential in world he will be good" "Kellen Davis is a great pass catcher" "Mike Tice can call plays". All of those Lovie has said at some point even though not a single one is true. Before BMarsh our WR core was pathetic, same for the OL. Webb can't block a damn brick wall and Davis can't catch even if it was handed to him.

Well said, I said some of this is the other thread about coaching fires. It's time for his to go, he needs a new place to coach and we need a new coach. Long time in the making.

I've been a big Nevada fan for awhile, no where close to UM of course, and I've always thought that Nevada could be so much better than what they have showed in the past. Because 9 times out of 10 a former coach or player knows more about the sport, which is why he is a color commentator to bring insight into the game that people who never played the game can't do. He is a little "young" when it comes to announcing games but when he gets more practice at it he will get better like with anything people do.

As a Cubs fan this move may get overvalued. Yes Baker can hit Lefties but he is NOT a full time starter and will platoon or his value will decrease. It is a good get however as long as the Tigers use him right



Also on another note I wish it was Soriano traded to the Tigers instead of Baker as Sori would have netted a better return.

Has anyone heard about the Lawsuit that was filled against EA by consumers? From what I saw they have settled on a 27 million settlment to be given back to the consumers, however I havn't seen how to go about getting the money back. Its 1.95 for every game bought on the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii after 2005 and 6.79 per game bought on gamecube, PS2, and xbox.

Also Muhammad Ali, was invited to his house, Tom Rickets and his brothers and sisters (Cubs owners), Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Mosaic a singin group out in Cali, and some more low end actors and singers.

You are right History is not irrelevant. But with that said, in most cases of recruits, History is NOT a very high priority in what school they choose. It can play a factor into what schools they look but not really what school they choose.

ND is getting the players because its a great school and capmpus. Also as much as I and a lot of other people Hate Kelly, he is a good coach even tho he hasn't had much success at ND YET.

Well, considering it's 2012 and at this moment MSU's basketball is better than UM's (Also MSU is allowing him to play both as a Freshmen. UM has told other players that want to play both they have to wait till they are a Sophmore(I don't know what they told him)) and the football programs at THIS moment are not far apart. YES, UM's history in both sports are deeper and better than MSU's but I don't care who the player is, they want to play for a good team NOW, not because the school was good in the past (Yes, UM is very good at both sports now). So just because UM has more History then MSU even though at the moment MSU is combined better it makes UM have better teams? No it doesn't, especially to a 17yr old kid.

Now I'm not saying he is choosing MSU or UM I'm just stating that the better choice for him in both sports is MSU. But its not just sports it's what school he wants to live at for the next 4 years and that could lead him to UM hell it could lead him to ND even. And like I said in the post earlier I hope he does choose UM as he is a very good player in both sports.

I never said that Historically MSU has better teams I was refering to the present that matters most to kids. Also as ldd10 stated some facts, it looks like UM's basketball is not as good as you make it out to be. MSU's program may just be historically better than UM's in basketball.

It just seems like its gonna be MSU, sounds like he really likes playing Basketball more than Football. Truthfully if you combine the 2 you gotta give MSU the lead in that aspect with Football not as far behind UM as UM's basketball is to MSU's (But, its not that far behind).

Hopefully tho he does pick UM as he is an amzing talent at both sports,

I agree, I have been saying this since the beginning, THJ is a HUGE reason on some of the losses Michigan has had. When you have a game and you go 0fer in the first half something needs to change.
