Yeah tell that to a million cancer patients, bub. Maybe be a little less rigid in your thinking. There's a reason it's becoming not legal.

With penn state, a 9-point deficit puts the game out of reach. Their offense is stone-age bad.

No. He'd still need to be a skilled passer. And that was never gonna happen.
|6 days 11 hours ago||Seemed like denard actually||
Seemed like denard actually maximized his talents as a QB, given that he wasn't and never would be a high-caliber passer. He was a great playmaker and a very meh passer.

I'm just guessing the kid accidentally hit like while scrolling. Happens all the time. But anyway.

I'm gonna speculate on Peters' immediate success based on a true sample size of 0.

There are always exceptions -- hello, Sammy Watkins -- but there's a reason people say true freshmen receivers tend to either suck or be very limited. DPJ may well be the exception to the rule. But I wouldn't bank on it just yet.

I'm sure there are plenty of smaller schools that would be thrilled to have him. He's a good student, probably graduating early, so he might be catnip to an Ivy or something equivalent.

I bet Cole stays but you may unfortunately be a bit too bullish on Newsome's return. Hopefully he'll make it. But even if he does return, fingers crossed, it seems a bit pie-in-the-sky to suggest he'll be tip-top by September. Saying this just based on comments from the coaches, whose optimism seems to be tempered by heavy caution.

I think OSU beats Wisky with relative ease. Wisky is good but virtually never wins big games.
|2 weeks 21 hours ago||Yeah. You could make a case||
Yeah. You could make a case for any of the top 6 to be in the top 4. And the next 6 are more or less interchangeable.
|2 weeks 21 hours ago||Because OSU has an excellent||
Because OSU has an excellent recent track record, trounced OU on the road, and pummeled everyone else. It makes perfect sense. Michigan has beaten 1 good but not great top 10 team at home. The rankings are appropriate. And margin of victory over Rutgers is meaningless. They both dominated. And I bet Meyer made sure not to totally embarrass his buddy Ash.

If LSU were actually being magnanimous, it would offer to host this year's game and play next year's in Florida.

He's a green QB who's led the team to an undefeated record. You don't bench him because he hasn't immediately become a star.

Jeez. Wouldn't it be simple enough to just send the message through an intermediary (agent, booster) rather than hang the guy out to dry like this? It's so childish.
|3 weeks 23 hours ago||4 feels about right. The||
4 feels about right. The first two are definitely right. Clemson may be a notch high. On the other hand, they just beat a terrific team. And Washington just thumped Stanford. So they could easily be four.

Actually if we'd make even just one of those field goals, the entire game would have felt so different.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||Harbaugh's offensive||
Harbaugh's offensive playcalling was dangerously Carr- or Bo-esque. Way too conservative. Playing not to lose. Kept Wisconsin in the game.

|4 weeks 1 day ago||Yeah, I'm sure his Texas||
Yeah, I'm sure his Texas contacts help in the early going with recruiting and so forth. But I think that's a little overrated within this context. Both USC and LSU attract blue-chip talent no matter. He'd automatically inherit a recruiting powerhouse regardless. And both locations rival Texas in high school talent.

Someone will bite. But his Louisville contract has a highly punitive buyout clause. Something like $10 million.
|4 weeks 1 day ago||Texas, sure. But don't bet||
Texas, sure. But don't bet against USC. He's a Southern California native. USC's path to the championship has fewer obstacles than LSU's. And Baton Rouge is a toilet. Swamp or beach? Hmm. Let's see...

Stoops and Kelly aren't close to getting fired. Strong has improved Texas so don't assume he's gone. The more likely scenario is LSU, USC, and Auburn.

If a replay booth should be allowed to review anything, it's whether the clock expired. It's indisputable evidence.
|4 weeks 6 days ago||OSU is obviously good and OU||
OSU is obviously good and OU obviously is not. A typical OU team doesn't get pushed around twice in three games. OSU's win, while impressive, doesn't necessarily mean it's a juggernaut. It's just better than the team currently ranked #25.
|5 weeks 6 days ago||It's simple. You have to root||
It's simple. You have to root for the team M will play. We want MSU as highly ranked as possible when we play them.

Yes. Let's please tell all 7 year olds they're losers and life is about winning and losing. Lighten up a little.
|6 weeks 20 hours ago||CMU won on an officiating||
CMU won on an officiating error, but this sometimes happens. A bad call on the last play -- or the second to last play -- is part of the game. The human element. I don't see it as all the different from a scenario in which the refs had, say, made a bad interference or holding call. Unfortunate, yes. But the game continued. And the end of the game can't retroactively be erased because the refs made a bad call two plays earlier.
